Situated on the rajaram mohan roy road on the way to Sri Peramputhur, Queensland is an amuesement park in the outskirts of chennai.
There are no proper bus facilities as far as we could see around the park. Since we went in a group of 7, we booked a sumo from tambaram and reached here after an hours' drive( depends on traffic) at 11:00 a.m.
There s no parking charge. The cost of an Adult Ticket is Rs.350 and a Child s ticket is Rs.250.
As soon as u enter the park, u r greeted by dwarf clowns, The first ride is the free fall which goes to a height of and falls down suddenly. The other common rides are tora tora, roller coaster etc. Some other rides are centrox etc All these rides can be completed by 2.00p.m.
We can have lunch at the restaurants present inside the park.
At the end we find the Himalayan Water Ride and water games. The Himalayan Water ride is a ride in which 6 ppl go in an air filled rubber tube over which plastic seats are arranged.
Then there is an american wave pool where artificial waves are generated. There are also two artificial water falls, one for men and other for women. The changing rooms and rest rooms are pretty decent. The water slide and tube can be used any number of times. Mats and tubes for both are available near the pool which have to be carried by the guests.
There are fun house, mirror house and dark house which provide humour to all.
At the end, there is a rope car which gives a good overview of the whole of queensland.
A train goes all through Queensland which starts at 6:00p.m and leaves u at the entrance by 7:00p.m.
All in all its a very good place to spend time with family or friends.
However, make sure u go in group of even nos cos most of the rides require u to go in pairs. For Himalayan water ride, u go in group of 6. The odd person has to couple wit someone else or has to go alone for rides which require pairs of ppl.
