Pratapgad Fort Trek, Mahabaleshwar

On 7th February we visited the fort Pratapgad. Pratapgad is one of the oldest and strongest fort of Maharashtra. One might reach there by Bus as we visited through Bus and no need of trekking. The fort has 3 Points very most crowd is there for selfie.

We taken a guide over there, to know the history of the fort and other facts. There were many traps made for the enemies by the marathas on this fort. There were many hidden exits and entrance of the forts. The fort has more than 1000 steps. It is one of the Central fort located in sahyadri Region. Best Attractive Points on the fort is Aai Bhavani Mandir. The Heavy Talwars, The Statue of Shivaji Maharaj and Sight seeing Points.

The Tallest hill in that region is mahabaleshwar and Pratapgad comes for second. Shivaji Maharaj Defeated Afzalkhan here More than 400 years ago which is why this is tourist attraction. Only concern here is limited hotels here for stay.
