Podar International School, Nerul, Navi Mumbai Reviews

Best school for giving trauma to your children!
Jan 28, 2025 12:32 PM264 Views (via Mobile)

This is the worst school I've seen in my entire life, teachers and students all are rude and mannerless. You might think that taking half of your salary type of fees would make your kids so better in studies! No, this is a money grab, your kids won't have a development sure parents have a very big role to play but teachers do too and this place is down right horrible. There are many teachers in this school who cannot teach properly or are horrible to children, I mean horrible!! To the point, where your children might feel suicidal, hopeless or develop anxiety or depression. No joke. And the teachers are unstable, seriously unstable in 5th grade an English teacher was changed 3 times! Other students experience are similar, biology teacher changed 2 times in 9th grade. They have conducted several activities but the results are just not announced!! They do not take libraries seriously after two weeks or so, they won't help your children. Despite of having many children who are toppers, those are same children that might target your children for bullying! Not all, but many. The attitude is so insanely strong, it's disgusting really. Please for the future of your kids, DO NOT AND I MEAN THIS, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. Do better podar. And the principal, you know when kids greet you, you can give a smile? I suggest sending your kids to a well known and good state board school, the benefits are immaculate. Do not send them to this money laundering type of school. Do better, podar. Do better. I would give this zero stars of I could.

Reasons you should not go to Podar

This school i have been here for so long yet it isn't good The Kids speak profanity and the teachers do not care but one thing they will care about is your shoe colour because why not? The Teachers Basically do not want to teach at all The P.T periods usually never happen And Then. The events "sports day"- It Isn't Good mostly just dancing the non participants can't even Talk and for the whole month no one teaches and annual day is just a disguise for money ₹2000? For Dancing You Have to pay to dance I Recommend DPS

Favouritism and Teachers pets with vulgar students

I have been in podar icse since 8th and will pass from 12th this year, The students just have no respect for any teachers, and speak inappropriate words all the time, even in front of the teachers who don't seem to do anything about it.

My second big thing will be that when in was in 9th, the 9th class was required to pay 1500rs per person for farewell of 10th, but when in i was in 10th no such farewell was given to us, we were told to throw our own farewell, now i am in 12th and no farewell is being given to us, it's a small thing but farewell is just a basic thing that every school does.

This school also has 0 extracurricular activities.

Lastly there is the favouritism from the teachers side, the teachers always have a few 4 - 5 students who they like and those students are the only ones who get student council duties and they are the only students who get proper attention from the teacher.

Overall a bad experience for a school.

Would not recommend.

Podar Education Network sucks
Mar 30, 2021 09:22 PM4119 Views (via Mobile)

The only motto of this institution is to make money by hook or by crook. For this purpose they have adopted multiple strategies.

First, they have established their own publishing house in name of Sikshan publication. The books published by this institution is are of extremely poor quality. Even the writers' names are also not printed. These books are prepared by their own unqualified staff.

Then the books are sold for 4 times the fair price.

Only Shikshan publication books are allowed in Podar.

Further, they are selling their own notebooks at double price. Students ard forced to buy school notebooks. Notebooks from market are not allowed.

The proprietors of this group have stooped down to such low morals that they have also started selling uniforms.

All these are in complete violation of a judgement given by honorable Karnataka High court that no educational institution can sell books, notebooks or uniforms. They must appoint multiple vendors for this purpose.

It is because of lethargy of parents that such so-called educational institutions are prospering. Parents must be aware of their rights and take legal action to protect their interests. I make an earnest appeal to parents of India to reject such businesses.

Non focused staff

I have my kid studying in the 2nd standard. The teachers only focus on few kids and leave many other able kids aside. Sometimes they seem to be rushing to complete the syllabus only. Small kids then feel dejected and alone as teacher doesn't take their name or allow them to speak. They need to take collaborative approach and let all kids participate in the learning process.

I feel the management is least bothered to look or inspect in these things which is very sad. With simple steps they can make few able kids much better rather than making them sad and de motivated.

But that's the difference between a normal school and a school with a difference.

Hello everyone .i want to share my views on schools who are indulged in taking huge amount of fees n not having better educational environment .basic problem is that now a day schools not having emphasis on teaching mathematics to childrens .they teach on english only

The school quality seems going down..

My daughter is in Podar since 3 years in CBSE and will be completing her Std 1st by Mar 16

Ostensibly we choose the school to be a good school over APJ and Delhi Public School(DPS - of course, the reason for DPS is, it's too costly and attending staff seems to be very rude and carrying a baseless pride in the name of the school - am talking DPS on palm beach road)

Now they don't go with the interview and other stuff with parents and kids, which we appreciated but now we are getting a feel that they are just keen on getting more students and revenues.

What's good:

1) School bus facility till door or till main road near to home

2) Good infrastructure and lifts, AC's in school

3) Continuous activities

What's concerning:

1) To speak with a teacher, you need to take an appointment and then reception will connect teacher with you. so immediate approach is not possible

2) The credentials of the teacher seems doubted as the teacher for her school is not a married woman at first place, and seemed to lack basic parental feelings for kids, which are prime importance when your kids are in Sr KG and till 2nd, 3rd standard.

3) The teacher seemed to not paying attention to grammar as we told her that our daughter gives the same treatment.(e, g, I - do, We - do, He - do, She - do)

4) We found that the homework is not correctly checked and errors are not captured by teacher while browsing thru the books randomly

5) We were hell serious when our daughter, (despite telling her more than 20 times), didn't tell teacher that she has got a certificate & medal for completing the Marathon for kids. SO we observed a lack of confidence, enthusiasm and trust to communicate with class teacher.

6) Our daughter recently bagged a gold as well as bronze medal in Olympiad and I sent a note with my daughter to tell the teacher about the result(because I saw it on website), she didn't utter a word of praise and we feel too bad. Next day my wife called the teacher and she said that she didn't understand what I mean with the letter but then she's telling that she's a fool to not understand anything & tried to divert the discussion. After that, she told other kids in her class for which they clapped but the lady didn't personally said my daughter congratulations and that too when my spouse spoke to her. This simple example can tell, what should be the maturity level of the teachers and they don't know how to encourage students, which is extremely important at this tender age. Also we suggested the teacher, to cover such Gold medal award ceremonies in annual day function, for which the teacher answered in a childish way to speak to their co-ordination manager.(pl don't misunderstood that am craving for my daughter to be praised but serious about how the quality of teachers is getting down and they simply lack the qualities, that our teachers used to  have in our childhood).

7) At any hour of time, the messages keep coming about what books to be sent and sometimes even at 11.30 am for a school at 12.00 pm, so parents leaving early morning can't do the same(don't know what happens to kids at school). Also sometimes, will ask for many books or activity but won't simply finish the same, making all small kids to carry those heavy bags.

8) We found extreme lack of co-ordination during events like annual days and there's a big chaos everywhere. A school of this size should be able to handle such things very smoothly.

9) Homework is not checked regularly

10) The bus co-ordination is as well not so good and for first 2-3 days, you can always experience your child to reach home 2-3 hours late.

11) They are keen to collect more & more money. e.g. for a group photo in school, they told 4-5 times to send  Rs100 /- and even sent a note with students but after 1.5 months, we haven't seen what photo was taken and there is no discussion about it. I asked my daughter, but she fears to put a question to teacher.

Despite the name Podar, I would rate the school as Average for the reason, any school is not good or bad, but the teachers and admin quality makes it great, above that, the teachers only can make your kids great with profound knowledge, vast reading, great demonstration skills, syncing at the age of students, by understanding the grasp level of students and overall a very kind / noble heart person who are keen to make every student a best citizen of this country understanding each child is a unique one.

Her Jr / Sr KG teachers were good but why we should settle on that, every year the teachers should be best as we are paying for the same?

A good school with child centric approach

My Daughter goes to Podar International School - Nerul and I find the school quite good in terms of management and education.

It is one of those few schools in Navi Mumbai where you can get admission without much hassles. They run school in various shifts, have a huge building and every section has various division. I had gone a month after the school started for my daughter and was quite happy when they took her without any test or interview.

The teachers are good, the bus service is very good, and they treat the child also very well. Every class has a maximum of 40 students, so your child will get good attention. Their bus service is very well managed.

An area they need to work on:

Sports - Though they have a playground, they have a lot more students and I feel that they need to focus on sports as well. They can have badminton court or table tennis which would not need much space.

Overall it is a good option if you are staying in Navi Mumbai.

Excellent school

My little sister is in podar international school seawoods palm beach road.it is an excellent school.it is little far from tge main city bt this problem is solved by the school buses. They have a very good network of school buses.the school follows international standards and the way the teach is very different from the normal schools.

The emphasize more on practical learning.also art and crafts is given equal importance.they have a nice sports ground.the teaches are well qualified and are very friendly to the students.also tge students are not overloaded with homework.the also celebrate various cultural days in school.its a nice school overall
