Podar High School Reviews

Worst school in Mira road.
Mar 01, 2024 11:38 PM989 Views

We went there for our kid's admission. Initially, the Principal convinced us about the quality of education. Gradually, we came to realize that she had made false promises about the school. Most of the time, they focus on picnics and extracurricular activities rather than proper education. The faculty is poorly managed by the Principal; they don't even check workbooks. It is a money-making institution that may resemble a school but does not uphold the standards of one.

There are other schools available in Mira Road that are far better than them. Due to all this carelessness, they lost their CBSE affiliation and are now attempting to affiliate with another board.

They refused to meet when I went there after fixing appointment as my son is having a diagnosis of mild autism. Which i had already told them on phone everytime they had called me. They sent me back from the reception and asked me to submit medical document and refused in person meeting just because of mild autism diagnosis of my son. It was kind of humiliating and very disappointing for us as parents who are trying and giving everything to their little one to grow and catch up with socier

Podar International school Goa , when we seek admissions in the starting she behaved like welcoming us and whole campus was shown by herself as they need admissions but after your child enters this school they even don't bother to listen to your points. They even don't listen to the child in the class. Very poor curriculum. Don't even think of seeking admissions..

Podar is jail more then school
May 25, 2017 01:39 PM23639 Views

Podar is a school were youngsters are compelled to do just reviews and are not permitted yo do activities. They are compelled to hold up after school to study and this makes them free their classes.Their area is filthy and appropriate to study like a bear shop before school what the kids will gain from this.

Kids can't turn out with their talent.they are compelled to go to training of the school and they make the youngsters ratoffy not learn and their idea is not clear. So in the event that you have two options amongst hellfire and podar absolutely never go to podar damnation is more advantageous then the podar school. Implies podar is close to a state school.

Podar Intl/ Jumbo Kids - BAD!!
Jan 16, 2015 03:56 PM52966 Views

Podar Intl School Thane - Went there for an enquiry for Jr. Kg Admission and we were surprised to find that it shares the same building as of the Hiranandani Hospital, it was under renovation so I guess the administration team were placed in a small class room.

The counsellor there did not even check from which area we have come for the enquiry, she was not polite, like a teacher she asked us what do we know about Podar school.we said we know nothing, she grinned and could speak only 2 lines about the history of the school, and jumped to the fees structure.

She then showed us a prospectus and flipped it in a hurry and said all this is on the website you can read it there also. She spoke nothing about the curriculum, nothing on why we should send our kid to Podar inspite of having a closed building and plethora of international and good schools in Thane.it seemed as if we will be obliged if we get an admission there.clearly a'taken for granted' attitude!

Other 2 staff were talking to each from across their seats which showed nil professionalism .what will they teach the kids.

Before we left the premises, we knew our kid will surely not come here.

Podar an jail more than school

Podar is a school were children are forced to do only studies and are not allowed yo do activities..They are forced to wait after school to study and this makes them loose their classes.Their location is dirty and suitable to study like a bear shop in front of school what the children will learn from this.

Children cannot come out with their talent.they are forced to go to coaching of the school and they make the children ratoffy not learn and their concept is not clear. So if you have two choices between hell and podar don't ever go to podar hell is more convenient then the podar school. Means podar is no more than a state school.

I have the best memories of Podar school. It has helped me grow not only academically but more importantly as a person. The teachers and management have to be congratulated. Along with academics, life skills are concentrated upon.

I recently admitted my son into the Pre-primary section of the school - jumbo kids. The innovative techniques that are used in the school to make learning fun for the students is astounding. I have heard that Podar has now spread its wings all across India, to cities such as Bangalore, Ahmadabad etc.

I am positive that the quality of podar will be unwavering and I urge you to do what is best for your child and make him/her a fellow podarite.

Discriminated!

I was forced to join this school when I had just arrived from the USA. We moved back from there because we faced a lot of racism. This was way back in 1992-93. This school had just begun its first year and were accepting students pretty easily. The education system is very slow in the US, so slow that I was just mastering my additions, multiplication, subtraction and I join this school from the 5th grade and everyone already knows algebra! Ok, not the schools fault but the Indian education. We move fast!

My first class teacher was then the only marathi teacher of that school. We had just one since I joined the ICSE section which had marathi up till the 7th grade (thank god for that). I had to begin from scratch. All summer I took hindi and marathi classes just trying to learn how to write. Understanding the language was going to be a very long process! Altho within 2 years I picked up hindi, marathi to date, I still can't speak or understand!

My first day at school turned out to be a bummer. Here is this boy that has no clue about how bombay and its kids work plus this boy has an american accent which kids at that age could not understand what I was saying half the time. Many a time normal words were mistaken for abusive language and I was always thrown out of class. Somehow the teachers always took pride in picking on me and I would always notice the accomplished smile on their faces. I was offered no help by any of the teachers and the students of that school created an impression of me being the school bad guy. If anyone would abuse - fingers pointed at me. If a PEN was stolen - fingers pointed at me.

Of course the inevitable had to happen. I somehow managed to get through my 5th grade continued on to 6th and plugged that year. I was horrified. I knew I was not going to fare well but I didnt expect not to pass! Well, all I can say was I gave it my best but the pressure on a 11 year old is just too much adding on to classmates picking on you and no support from any teachers. Had I been as mature as I am now, It wouldn't have even mattered that my much needed attention was not seen. Now repeating the 6th grade was even worse. The whole school knew who I was for being an 'American boy who only knew how to abuse'. My seniors knew who I was and so did a bunch of juniors. The news spread like wild fire. People actually came down from the floor above to see if it was really true - If I was REALLY repeating my 6th and sitting in the same class for that year. That was one of my most terrible days. Lucky for me though, I had company. Another boy from the US but was in the next class. We had alot to share and we both faced the same problems, COPING UP!

Teachers that year gave me an even tougher time. Some of them even (who I wont name) even asked me to leave school and go back to where I came from because I am not considered Indian if I can't speak Hindi. At the point and age I didn't know if this was wrong on my teachers part to say that to me and I thought it was true. One fine day while I was coming back from school in my school bus where I was ragged alot buy a bunch of guys and 2 girls - I stood up for myself! Walked up to both of those girls - slapped them across the face and then ran to the back of the bus, caught a few seniors and punched them each on the face. Since that day nobody said a word to me, not even dared to tease me. None of them even complained to any of the teachers about the incident. So from being the boy who everyone could pick on - I then became the school bully. It was fun. I didn't have to even do much., kids kept their distance from me and I made some friends who were big! ;)

All in all this school taught me alot of how bombay children grow up here. There is a complete lack of maturity because by the time I was in the 8th grade, alot of the kids were the way I was when I had first joined. You know, sharing the 'non-veg' jokes and making fun of teachers, cutting class. All these things were what I used to do when I was in the 5th! These kids finally GREW UP and well all I could do was laugh! As for the teachers there, what goes around, comes around 3 times harder. Best of luck to you all :D
