In the busy chennai its a nice beautiful place

I would like to share this to all of you I have been hearing about this Pizzaurant for some time but I never had a chance to visit last week I have happened to go to Velachery initially I found difficult to locate the place.

I had to call them up and ask for guidance its a nice place and cozy atmosphere its a nice place to be there in this mechanized life and they give starter as soon as you take the seat its a very nice thing without even waiting for your order they serve you water and starter aft that they will wait for your call for the order.

I ordered small pizza it was a chicken pizza and ordered a Chinese soup and tandoori chicken they have a huge vast menu I took a long time to decide what I am going to have but I couldn't believe it the food was amazing just superb and its a value for money.

I enjoyed the food and the place please every one check out this place and for the information they do home delivery also phone no 4205 3456.

Good Food with Bad Service

Ok the story goes on like this. I read the one and only review in this forum about Pizzaurant. I happened to go to that location and saw the place after that. Since I read the review thought of giving it a try. Ok before entering itself saw a big banner stating Corperate / Student Offer Pizza free with Pizza.

Ok That sounded good like in Dominos and Pizza hut/corner some times they have offere for large and mediam pizzas. I went in and saw the whole place was empty. Wierd one of the main place in city and phew its empty. Ok fine no issues, thought to myself people in this area dont prefer pizzas.

Checked out menu card and offers inside.

Menu was decent enough and the offers mentioned inside were buy a pizza and get 15% off on bill from Mon - Thurs and Free Veg sandwitch of my choice. Ok again good.

Checked with waiter who was possibly nepali or some one who didnt knew English / Hindi / Tamil. His understanding was so poor I had to repeat each thing about 4 -5 times. That too was ok adjustable as its recession and cost cutting now a days:-) Ok asked about the corperate offer and was refused stating no such offer.

Wow Great Big Board just next to main road still states the offer and inside its not valid, Ok offer might have been elapsed. Asked for 15% off again was refused stating no sir that is for bulk order. What the heck where have u mentioned as bulk order. Single person Dine in and it should be a buld order wow. Again asked sandwitch offer atlast he said yeah thats there for medium and large pizza. Gr8 one more twist. Ok thats fine I said ok get some(dont remember name) veg medium pizza and the compliment veg sandwitch and tried to choose one from the menu card.

Again was refused stating he will give only cucumber tomato sandwitch which no one cares to buy and will not give some other veg sandwitch which is same or lesser value. G8 was fully pissed off and said ok bring what ever u like.

Sandwitch came and was quite ok, just like a tea shop sandwitch. I ordered for a deep pan / crust pizza.

Once It came it was pretty good. With lots of stuffed toppings and vegetables etc and good cheese hot pizza. All the F up feelings got away and started enjoying it.

Over all the food was good, value for money and customer service was pheatic.

The Best Pizza Place in Chennai
Mar 19, 2008 12:20 PM6646 Views

The virtual invasion of most

Indian cities by Pizza restaurants has seen the international chains as well as

some desi ones - Pizza Hut, Pizza Corner, Domino’s, Smokin’ Joe’s et al,

opening outlets in our city.  While these

people introduced us to real authentic pizzas, the main problem was the pricing-

they  transformed what was a typical

inexpensive, lets eat at home, food in the West, into expensive, lets go out

for dinner, fare!   European friends

visiting Chennai were quite surprised to see that a Pizza was as, or sometimes

more, expensive than a buffet lunch in a three or four-star hotel.

The need of the hour was someone

with a commitment to deliver a good pizza at a reasonable price; that someone

turned up in the form of young Vaidy, who opened a pizza restaurant called,

appropriately, Pizzaurant in Little Mount where Velachery road takes off from Mount

Road. Thanks to high quality pizzas and reasonable

prices, in no time, the new place caught on and ultimately he had to move to a bigger

place in Velachery, near the Vijayanagar bus stand.

Notwithstanding a recently

introduced Indian menu,  Pizzaurant is

really all about pizzas and what yummy pizzas they are!  They serve the whole range – the classic  Margherita  (Rs 70/ 115/ 180  for a 6/9/12

inch) onwards to Chicken BBQ, Hawaiian Delight, Four Seasons and others(85/170/

265) and onward to Oriental Express, Mexican Fireball and others (95/180/275) and Pepperoni Perfection, Meat

Supreme and the Specialty at the high end(Rs 110/210/315).

Stuff like Southern Spice, Paneer

Dynamite, Kheema Connection, take good care of the Indian palate while the

Satvik Select will keep the orthodox client happy.

Regular visits over the years with family and

friends have convinced me that these are the best pizzas in town. There is enough

cheese on each pizza to make a cardiologist tremble, and they are very generous

with the toppings. While my personal favorites are the Pepperoni Perfection,

Hawaiian Dream and the Green All Over, I have never seen anyone complain about

what was on their plate

Starters, breads and sandwiches are

listed between Rs 35 and Rs 70. Though we don’t normally allow starters to spoil

our appetites, we have enjoyed the potato wedges, curly potatoes and garlic

bread, which often comes free. On one occasion, the chicken cutlets were very

nice.

On the North Indian menu, a full

tandoori Chicken comes at Rs 160 while a

mutton biriyani clocks in at Rs 85. They list as “must try”, their Murgh

Saleem, a full tandoori chicken stuffed with kashmiri pulao(rs 250). While one

may wonder what this stuff is doing in a pizza joint, it is very useful on

occasions when most of the gang is here for pizzas and one or two recalcitrant

members crave for Indian food.

Pizzaurant deliver at home, as

long as you don’t live too far off, but insist that the life and limb of the

delivery staff and road safety is very important. So they don’t promise getting

your food to your place within a specified short time.

If you want a real, authentic,

tasty pizza at a reasonable price, just go down to or call Pizzaurant!
