Philips Satinelle Sensitive BodyTotal epilator Reviews

Hair-free Is Carefree !!!
Jan 21, 2016 12:00 PM 2654 Views

A couple of days ago I ordered a Philips Satinelle Sensitive Body Total Epilator and the first thing that struck me was the sheer  tiny size of the epilator. I have been using the Philips brand of epilators for 6-7 years now and I am very impressed by the modifications in their latest model.

The Philips Satinelle Sensitive Body Total Epilator  is a palm-sized gadget as opposed to its predecessors. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hands and makes handling the instrument so easy, in turn, making hair removal a comfortable experience! This epilator is easily portable too and can be carried in your hand bag, purse, makeup kit or pouch. It is not at all bulky – something that any woman would appreciate.

But don’t mistake its ergonomic design with its performance. The Philips Satinelle Sensitive Body Total Epilator  is packed with power.  Its metal tweezer plates/discs ensure a clean epilation and even the tiniest hair gets plucked leaving the skin looking and feeling smooth and silky three weeks long(I say this from my personal experience but may vary from individual to individual). While you are epilating, the vibrating pain softener relaxes your skin like a massage, masking the feel of epilation. This Epilator comes in a beautiful purple and white colour.

One of the only concerns I have with this epilator is the noise it makes while epilation. I also wish it came with an extra set of metal tweezer plate/disc since that would work as replacement once the old one got blunt( especially for women who use epilators very often). Nevertheless, this product is a must have for all the busy ladies who don’t have the time to visit the beauty parlour and/or are sensitive to hot wax used in traditional waxing techniques.

Some of the features of this epilator are as follows:

-Small ergonomic design which makes it easily portable

-Good grip for comfortable handling and ease of use.

-Metal tweezing plates/discs for smooth epilation.

-Two speed settings for gentle epilation.

-Removes hair without pulling the skin or causing injury

-Removes hair as thin as 0.5mm from the root.

The box includes an epilator, a long cord, a sensitive area cap and a cleaning brush. Plus, a booklet on how to use the epilator and a 2 year warranty card. I highly recommend the Philips Satinelle Sensitive Body Total Epilator. Good value for money, saves time and can be used in the comfort of your home without having to step outside. Also, it is a one-time investment in your hygiene and beauty care instead of shelling out Rs.600 - Rs.800 on every waxing session which proves to be very expensive!

I hope you enjoyed reading this review as much I enjoyed sharing it with you all.

Amazing replacement for waxing. Waxing is headache which really makes like complicated. But now people like me who are little lazy to go to parlor and get it done, epilator is the goddess.

It might be little pain full in the starting same as waxing, but later on it becomes normal after 2-3 times. There are two speed levels too.

I have used this product about 2 times on my legs, underarms and arms and already I am impressed with the results. My skin is smoother in the above areas and the hairs are thinner, especially under my arms. The growth has reduced alot and the hairs which grow are not at all hard after using epilator.

There are clear and simple instructions on how to use each head, as it also comes with an electric women's shaver attachment, and is easy to maintain and use.  It is really very easy to use and wash. Cleaning does not take much time. the instrument is really great. Five stars and the price is excellent!

Get past the first time and you'll never go back

This is the best epilator product on the market and I'm always afraid that Philips will stop making it. If you are interested in this system of hair removal this is definitely the product to buy. But yes, you must be ready for the fact that the first time you use any epilator, it can hurt. The roots of your hairs are still really big. With continued use those root ''bulbs'' are reduced. The first time I used it, I admit, I had to take a few breaks to get my whole leg. But unlike other products, each time I used it, it hurt less. Now, just over a year later, it doesn't hurt at all. I'm not exaggerating. It doesn't hurt one bit. I use it maybe once a week. Or less.

When you're getting started, it will help immensely if you prepare you legs well for treatment. Exfoliate your legs regularily with a loofa. Before ''shaving'' have a warm soak in a bath and loofa. Make sure your legs are completely dry, but still warm from the bath. The hairs pull out much more easily and less painfully if you do!

I had purchased this product with much hope that it would guarantee the results it claimed the product would. I did get smooth legs but I went to hell and back doing it and I could not get past half my leg. I even burnt myself as the epilator gets hot pretty fast and being metal, it sticks to your skin. It has almost the same effect as waxing and it cost twice as much. The product may claim that it does a good job for sensitive skin but think about it... when did pulling hair from its root ever become a pleasurable experience?? Bearing this in mind, you can judge for yourself if you need to purchase any equipment be it philips or Braun that does the same job as home made or store bought wax. It does get points for the convenience factor but thats about it.
