Death of creativity

Be it the first tacky attempt of injecting Mr. Ranbir kapoor into shahrukh's sister bedroom at night (wow! - what a concept!) or be it the second attempt of Mr. Ranbir Kapoor to woo the female with a lecture (yuks yuks yuks!)...Pepsi  purely fails at what an advertisement should do - CONNECT & COMMUNICATE!

*The plot

*There is none so what is there to talk about?

*The execution

*There is none so what is there to talk about?

*The models

I prefer to call them props here.

Ranbir 'lousy' Kapoor - Plain lousy...looks sicko

Deepika Padukone -      Dead as a cone

Shahrukh khan -

*The verdict

*Agreed that pepsi is not at a stage where it needs its adverts to communicate what can it do and what it cant. But being this self-indulgent that they just focus on the REAL LIFE romance actors involved by completly ignoring the audience is just pure insult!

It is a perfect example of 'celebrity heavy, script light' advert which Indians just love to shoot.

All and all, when the advert is so low on fizz, I will reserve my comments on what will be the actual drink like!!!

Boooo Booo Booo to the creative

and 12 rotten eggs to the entire bunch of jokers who passed this ad

This is a poor ad . I think in the past Pepsi had some excellent ads like the "Paanch" and "Dil maange more"   This is not even 10% of what those were.

Star Cast

ShahRukh Khan is completely wasted as a elder brother of Deepika Padukone. I wonder there is a bad day for ShahRukh to have played a "sidey". Ranbir is Ok. Deepika looks brilliant . Choice of the stars atleast make us see this one!

Performance of stars

Well they are expected to do well with the reputation that they have. They do a good job.

Concept

Here is where I have am really disappointed.  The Youngistan thing does not really gel with the Pepsi. Do they want  to show that the product is good for Younger generation or what does it say? I think it was a family drink as it is about the mass market. Somewhere the image of the brand is going out of the window.

Jingle

Less said the better. It is very irritating!
