Palm Grove, Residency Road, Bangalore Reviews

Good service for Good taste
Jun 28, 2015 04:12 PM1687 Views

Palmgrove is a nice hotel for lunch and dinner with family. It is located near ballal residency on residency road in Bangalore.

Location is good, even there is parking space also for hotel visitors. it is vegetarian, fully air conditioned good restaurant for North Indian and chinese cuisines. Seating arrangement quite comfort and good spacious. Neat and clean, good staff with good service.

For North Indian curry price is ok but in few items like side dish Salad, papad and Chapati's price are little bit over. Taste of food is good, quality seems good. I like Chapati and Paneer Curry here, not much spicy and not so oily too. Taste is good, feel fresh.Good service.I prefer this place for weekend dinner with family.

This is one of the few of the pure vegetarian joints in the vicinity of M.G.Road. Whether it is a quick bite or an have affair that you are after this is certainly the place one is looking for . The dishes are not spicy and the décor is quite pleasing . The Service could do with some improvement though . The waiters tend to be a haughty and care too little about the time they take to serve. You will feel this especially when you order something from the Chinese section or from the North Indian Section . Some may even find the service quite rude. The Menu is quite impressive with varieties like Charlton rolls for example, which is a scrumptiously yummy delight. One can also bite into some manglorean delicacies like Goli Bajje or Mangalore Bajji as they menu names it . These are the best in Bangalore though . Try the Peach Melba for Dessert and do remember to order the dessert while ordering the main course because of the slow snail paced service.

A Nightmare on Residency Cross Road

Palmgroveis the restaurant attached to the Ballal Residency Hotel on Residency Cross Road. Firstly, this place is an insult to Mangalorean Hospitality. The fare consists of mediocre vegetarian food. The restaurant is quite spacious, but whats stands out like a sore thumb is the service.

Do not make the mistake of stepping into this place. It would be better to starve to death or eat the stones on the road.

The waiters are obnoxius, and give you the impression that they are paying you to eat their food!!! They are curt and take their own sweet time to serve you.

The funny thing is that just 2 days before, I visited another restaurant and marvelled at the service meted out. Today, eating out is not just about filling up stomachs, but should be a full-fledged experience.

I've eaten in all kinds of places, right from 5 star hotels to roadside carts, but no where, & I mean no where did I come across such pathetic service.

If you re in the vicinity, go to Empire, Nagarjuna Residency & Savoy, Green Onion, Thali, Amaravati.......there, I ' ve even given you options.

Do mankind a service....STAY AWAY from Palmgrove,
