Osterizer Blender

If you only knew how much time I spent searching for the right blender . I am very pleased with my purchase. Do not waste your money on the more expensive one's, try this one and you will love it!

Just remember to add liquid(enough to cover the blades) first, then add more liquid, if necessary. It handles whole strawberries, sliced peaches, carrots(smoothly) ice(smoothly) etc. you may sip your smoothie from store bought straws(the small ones)

I highly recommend this to everyone out there. I use this blender about three times a day.

I purchased an osterizer blender in May of 2003 and it burned on us by the end of Jully. It was only used at the most 20 times - I'm probably exagerating - but to give it some credit - it was used to crush ice each time. I used the blender on camping trips to make frozen drinks. We have only been camping 4 times since May.

I guess the osterizer isn't heavy duty enough for that kind of job. I didn't keep my receipt so I can't return the blender and never dreamed I would have this problem. I've always thought the osterizer was the best blender you could get and the only other one I noticed was a GE brand.

So now i'm going on a search for a heavy duty blender - any ideas on a brand and model number would be appreciated.

Have you heard of Osterizer?

It is like my right hand in our house. Simply adds beauty to my kitchen! Looks very nice, very elegant, very functional, and priced quite reasonable for the amount of work it does.

Probably, many of you in India would not have heard of this blender. But, do you know that this is the most popular brand in North America? It is hard to find any household in Canada without this kitchen machine. It takes the place of Sumeet here! Favorite of many!

Osterizerblender is a Multi-speed appliance which operates on a wide range of speeds starting from very low to very fast. This range of speeds makes food preparation very easy. Osterizer comes with fourteen or ten speeds. What I have is a ten –speed machine, which has push buttons for grating, blending, grinding, liquifying and ice-crushing. I find that a lot of time is also saved, as Osterizer blender processes food in seconds! You can do stirring, pureeing, chopping, whipping and mixing in just a few seconds! That’s excellent! Cover

The cover of Osterizer consists of two parts, the plastic feeder cap and the vinyl cover. The cover is self-sealing and is made of vinyl which is resistant to absorption of odors and stains. The feeder cap is removable and you can use it as a measuring device as well. It also provides an opening for addition of other ingredients while blending. These are real nice features.

Container

The container for this blender is a sturdy glass jar. It is quite heavy and is graduated for easy measurement. It is also molded with heat and cold resistant material. The convenient handle helps in pouring the liquid mixture, after blending. The thicker mixture can be easily removed through the bottom opening.

Metal blades

I like the metal blades on this blender and feel that this is probably what contributes to its amazing ability to get all the ice crushed and the food pureed, blended, or mixed.

Motor

This machine has a powerful multi-speed motor. It is completely enclosed within the motor base. All the parts of Osterizer are corrosion-resistant and can be cleaned easily.

Osterizer blender is the best blender for making salsa! I love to make home -made salsa. I grind for vada and get superb vadas. These are only two examples of what I make with this blender. I use it for umpteen other preparations as well. This blender can also crush ice, which is an added benefit.

Osterizer is a Quiet machine! It is liked by people here. I like it too, as it doesn’t make a loud sound while blending. You can do your blending even in the middle of the night, without waking anybody. I think that’s wonderful!

Osterizer is Powerful!This blender comes in 290 watts and 450 watts power. My blender works on 450 watts power. If you need to blend in large quantities, I would say, this is a better choice.

Osterizer is Interesting!You can innovate many recipes with Osterizer, whether it is a patty to mix in ground beef and spices or a great slushy drink with strawberries and pine apple. It is very interesting to create your own recipes with this great machine.

Osterizer is easy to Clean! After every use, you can clean thoroughly in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry well.

We get Osterizer in Walmart, Sears , Costco, Zellers and other big supermarkets. This is an American product and a household name here. It is worth checking out for this wonderful machine wherever you live!
