NIIT, Bangalore Reviews

Bangalore India
Sub-Standard Quality & Bad business Ethics at NIIT
Jul 09, 2015 09:57 PM51593 Views

Hi, this is regarding the Admission for my sister with NIIT ID 01305A69841.

I'm really unimpressed with the substandard quality shown from NIIT, I did not expect  from a institution of your caliber.

To brief, she got admission at one of your centers at Bangalore; i.e Banashankari Branch(Srinivasnagar) on 29-May-2014.

The course was supposed to cover C, C+, Data Structures & Algorithm, DJVT & PLSQA. This is mentioned in the receipts too and attached in this mail.

The classes begun from 2-June-2014 with C. It was taken for 1 month followed by an exam during July. She attended this and got result also.

After which, the classes for C+ were continued and completed. It was told that all the other selected course exams were to be taken, after the completion of Java.

Everything seemed to be OK till then.

The classes of DS&A was skipped and moved over to Core Java(don't know for what reason). This is when the problems started.

They(Banashankari centre) had issues with the faculty, and hence the Core Java was stopped at the middle.

Meanwhile, during January 2015; DS&A was started as they had faculty and this classes got over.

Arpitha & her peers were informed that NIIT is going to get back to them on future course classes. And everything came to a stand still.

Even after several weeks, Arpitha nor her friends were contacted on the next coarse of action.

When they went to the center during February 2015, the NIIT center was closed almost  everyday. We were not able to contact anyone at NIIT Banashankari.

When tried to contact on Mobile/Landline, the reply given was very indifferent of nature. That we need to contact NIIT head office and not them.

They were complaining on the differences between them(franchisee) and you guys(i.e NIIT). We are not aware of what this stuff is about.

Why the hell, for the problems between you two; the students need to suffer. This height of arrogance I had not expected from NIIT.

Me, along with most of the parents of the affected students are approaching the Srinivasanagar Police station coming week & filing a case on NIIT on this.

Few of my friends do work in some of the local Kannada TV Channels here and this would be documented very shortly.

Will make sure NIIT or it's franchise is not going to do this day robbery with students; AGAIN!

Also, I'll myself  file a  Cosumer Complaint  at Cosumer Redressal Court at Cauvery Bhavan, Bangalaore. And you gotta pay for this mess in a big way.

Go Ahead with your third grade Quality and Business Ethics. We will see you guys  in court.

Certificate Alert...! No value for money
Sep 07, 2014 11:50 AM16237 Views

I joined NIIT Kengeri, Bangalore on 2nd Nov 2013 and after so much delays, I finally completed the course in May.

The faculty and teachings were pathetic. There was no proper schedule and no proper administration as well.

They skipped many lessons just for the sake of completing the course early.

But somehow I finished my exams and was told that I will get my certificate in June.

But till now I haven't got it.

I ring them every alternate day, but they say there is no response from the main center.

I've filed a complaint but still no replies.

So with a sour experience, I'm telling, please don't join NIIT.

Boycott NIIT

I am Adarsh Krishnaswamy from Bangalore. I wrote the Graduate Employability Test(GET) conducted by this fing institution called NIIT in their Indiranagar Centre on 9 December 2012 as they had mentioned in their advertisement that those who write GET will get complimentary priority pass to the NIIT Job Fair at any location in India. I passed it with 79 percentile and got the priority pass. I did read some negative reviews about the NIIT job fair and thought of giving it a miss, but eventually I decided to attend the Bangalore job fair on 17 March 2013 as Capgemini was recruiting for Software Engineer through this fair.

When I went to National College(Jayanagar) where the above mentioned job fair was held, I noticed the NIIT volunteers lack of professionalism. They made us stand in the middle of the road in the hot sun for nearly 4 hours and were scolding anyone who were trying to ask them some doubts regarding the fair. They let some students in early as they were doing course in NIIT(priority candidates). Since I too was a priority candidate with a GET Priority Pass, I showed the pass to one of the volunteers, who scolded me and said that this GET pass is invalid, making me a non-NIIT candidate(those who are not associated with NIIT in any way). I argued with him, but he kept on insisting that I am a non-NIIT candidate and threatened to bar me from the job fair if I didn't keep quiet. Finally I accepted this decision, as there was no more point of convincing this idiot.

Once inside(after 4 hours), I then realised that what others said in their reviews were 100% correct; NIIT job fair is one of the worst organised job fairs in India and probably the worst I have ever seen. Despite it being mentioned in a board there itself that Capgemini is recruiting BE/B.Tech graduates, NIIT's great volunteers claimed that Capgemini is recruiting ONLY for B.Sc and BCA graduates who had done a course in NIIT. No arguments to them could make them convince that even BE/B.Tech people could attend Capgemini. Such is the lack of organisation by NIIT. There were only 4 other companies recruiting for Software Engineer and they were extremely small and insignificant ones. For 2 of those insignificant companies, the volunteers were blabbering that we need some so-called "international certification"(whatever it is). None of this was mentioned on the board. In the end, I only attended 2 companies, which did not ask for this "international certification". Those wonderful companies too did not even make us write a written test or interview on the spot, they just told us to give our resumes to them and they would intimate us in a couple of days for interview(I don't think that will happen at all). Though I did not attend the BPO companies(which were majority there), there also there was lot of cheating and lack of organisation. It was written on the board that companies like Tech Mahindra, HP and Aditya Birla Minacs were recruiting for Tech Support, but those companies actually recruited for Non-Technical Voice Process from what I eventually found out from some students I met there.

NIIT are by fing frauds. They just do publicity stunts like write GET to get complimentary entry to the NIIT job fair so that people would actually write GET. This complimentary entry was not honoured at the Bangalore job fair. The job fair is again nothing but a sham to con innocent graduates seeking a job and get publicity. Who knows, so many other students like me may have been cheated by NIIT with regard to the GET and the job fair.

Before winding up, I would also like to mention my other experience at NIIT. When I first contacted NIIT Indiranagar Centre and expressed my interest in writing GET, they kept on phoning me every day till I paid the test fees of Rs. 300/-. They never intimated me after that, regarding collection of hall ticket, scorecard and job fair. This shows that apart from doing publicity stunts to maintain their so-called "reputation"(maybe they are bribing media and some other innocent people to talk good about them) they are only interested in making money.

My dear friends, please boycott NIIT. Don't write their GET or NITAT in the hope of getting a job through their job fair. Don't go for the NIIT job fair either, even if no company calls you for interview. It's better to apply for jobs through any company career website, Elitmus or AMCAT.  Don't do any of NIIT's courses. If at all you want to do a certification, join a better institution or do self-study. Ensure that these money-minded cheats run out of business soon.
