I have very dry skin and in the cold, New England months it gets even worse.
My hands will break out in red blotches then dry patches and left untreated these will crack open and bleed.
I had tried a lot of different creams and lotions on them including Vaseline Intensive hand cream and none of them did anything for my problem.
I had used Neutrogena products in the past so decided to give the hand cream a try. Within 24 hours my hands had started to heal up. It can be used anywhere that you have a problem with dry skin such as knees, elbows, bottoms of the feet and so on.
It is fragrance free and one little dab goes a long way. The tube I get is just 2 ounces but a couple of these will last me all winter and it is well worth it to me.
This formula is a cream and runs about $4.00 US for the small tube. Thinking that all their creams and lotions would be about the same I found Neutrogena soothing relief anti-itch moisturizer which claims to soften and soothe dry, irritated, itchy skin.
This comes on a 10 ounce bottle and is a liquid at a cost of about $8.00 US so thinking it would do the same and save money I purchased a bottle of it. It works okay on softening but it does not stop the itch nor does it clear up the dry, cracked skin and it has a nasty smell to it.
So I use the cream in the winter and will use the lotion in the summer until this is gone as I don't have much of a problem in the summer.
I recommend using the cream. It really does work wonders.
