NICE PLACE !!
Nov 09, 2017 11:42 PM 1448 Views

I happen to visit this place last month and it is a heaven for stamp and post card collectors with collection from all over the globe.

The best way to reach this museum is via metro where one can exit from gate number 3 and its just across the road.

The stamps have been displayed in different categories according to the time period and their country. The display are done well with proper lighting which gives it a nice aesthetic feel. There is a lot of stamps to see and definitely a must go for the collectors and it is a boasting a complete postage history of not just india but many other nations too.

There is no entry fee for this museum, one can go inside by keeping their bags outside and signing in the visitors register.

It opens 5 days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM(closes on weekends). It also has a separate sections where visitors can buy postcards but I really didnt like the attitude of the lady serving there who was busy all the time on phone which is generally not an expected behavior . There is not much staff there and in the buyers section too not much to buy exceot few memorabilia.

This place is definitely a must go .

National philatelic Museum is a must visit museum for stamps lovers.

It is located near to gate number 3 of patel chauk.

There are only 4-5 staffs in the museum. and they are maintaining the museum very well. but I want some more staffs there. and want some more popularity of it.

This place is full of stamps. the history of stamps. stamps from independence time.

Every stamp has its story. The museum is so neat and clean. and all the stamps are very well displayed. There are stamps of mahatma gandhi, charliw chalin etc. a number of stamps.

There are stamps of many different themes. There is a different section of foreign stamps history too.And above all the entry is free here. and is open for monday to friday from 10 am to 5 pm.A must visit place for stamps lovers.
