After GREAT INDIAN LAUGHTER CHALLENGE,Star one comes up with yet another talent hunt show,but with a difference,NACH BALIYA(DANCE SHOW) is a total dhamaal show and really STAR ONE needs to be applauded for coming up with such a new and fresh concept......................wherein the contestant's are celebrities,and they have to dance to a theme and song given to them,and whoever scores good marks will go on his way to win the competition,and the rest will be eliminated,every week.Star one has been promoting this show from quite a long time..................and really they did make some very cute and innovative promos,which is sure to catch your minds.The show finally started on 11th OCTOBER.................and its only been a week this show started,i am already hooked to it,and am looking forward to its future episodes................

HOST\ANCHORS

SHABBIR ALLUWALIA and SANGEETA GOSH,are the perfect host for this show..................they both are young,vibrant and provide the right amount of energy required for such a show,without going overboard.Though I am not a fan of either of them I think they did a good of hosting the show.

JUDGES

FARHAN AKHTAR,MALAIKA ARORA-KHAN and SAROJ KHAN are the star juges assigned for this show...................and I think they are pretty good.They were very honest,balanced and forthright in their comments and opinion without being rude.Actually they were pretty generous with their comments and the marks that they gave to the contestant.Good choice of judges..............

CONTESTANT(10 real-life husband wife jodis)

1.POONAM NIRULA-MANISH GOEL...................the show started with heir performance,they danced to the title song of SALAAM NAMESTE,i thought they danced really well,and the judges should have given them better marks.Their steps were nice and they both gelled well.

2.MANINIDE-MIHIR MISHRA..................unusual jodi,nevertheless looked quite nice together and shared good chemistry too...................but I feel MIHIR will have to pull up his socks if he has to match his wife,coz she danced really well...........to the song SAR SE SARKA JAYA................

3.AMIT SADH-NEERU BAWEJA...................quite dissapointing the both of them,and as rightly said by the judges quite thanda performance,no chemistry at all.............though they were given a good song to dance to TAUBA TAUBA.

4.PARMEET SETHI-ARCHANA PURANSINGH...................i really liked their dance steps and performance,the song they selected was grt too..................DHADAK DHADAK,they both danced with lots of heart and energy............good one.

5.APOORVA AGNIHOTRI-SHILPA SAKLANI................i really love Apoorva so I am biased towards him,and I thought he danced brillianly,his steps reminded me of MJ...........but Shilpa will have to put in more efforts to match Apoorva.They danced to Dus Bahane................

6.MANSI JOSHI-RONIT ROY..............did not dance that well,given a song like TUMSE MILKAR..............Manasi cannot dance to save her life and Ronit Roy also just tried.............so lets see what they are gonna do in the next episode.

7.VARUN BADOLA-RAJESHWARI...................i think they were really superb,for me they were the second best.They danced to the song BUNTYBABLI,their steps were awesome,they gelled well,sense of rythmn was great..............and RAJESHWARI was really splendid.

8.DELNAAJ-RAJIV PAUL................funny and cute,they both were as a dancing pair.Delnaaz in particular was very funny..............her dance movements and facial expressions really made me laugh.They danced to ITS THE TIME TO DISCO.........

9.SACHIN-SUPRIYA................awesome is the only word that comes to mind whEn I thnk of their dance.They had so muc chemistry and flexibility even at this age,really they both deserved the standing ovation they got from the crowd.........looking forward to seeing more of them.

10.SAI-SHAKTI ANAND................they danced to JUST CHILL,but the energy and fun was missing in their dance movements...............but they looked quite cute together.

The only thing I missed in this show was my favourite HITEN TEJWANI-GAURI PRADHAN jodi...................i wish they had participated too,no jodi show can be complete without the two of them..................they ROCK ROCK ROCK.Anyways next time.

So overall NACH BALIYE is a great show,total time pass...................can be watched and enjoyed by all,it comes TUESDAY to THURSDAY..............on STAR ONE.Lets see who gets eliminated this week..................here's wishing all the participants BEST OF LUCK.............this week the theme is sensuality,so its going to a be fun watching this week's episode.SO WHO IS YOUR FAV STAR COUPLE on the show.............

If you are a TV buff, you will recognize most of these stars – even if you don’t know them by their names. They have acted in most soap operas and saas bahu sagas. They may not have appeared as couples on screen, but are couples in real life.

The show which was launched on 11th October, airs thrice a week on Tuesdays to Thursdays on Star One at 9.30 p.m. I have only watched this Thursday’s show.

In the one-and-half hour program, each couple takes the stage one by one and dances on some of the latest and hippiest Bollywood numbers. Each of these dances is choreographed for this show by some aspiring choreographers, who are also evaluated along with the couples. After each performance, the judges give their individual comments. The couple then goes backstage to a screaming welcome by Sangeeta Ghosh, where they are interviewed. The judges give their points and the reactions of the contestants are noted.

The eliminations will be done based on SMS voting (as usual) by the viewing public.

About the performances:

In the first week, I was amazed to find the enthusiasm and energy in the contestants. Infact the oldest couple, Sachin and Supriya got the highest marks for a superb performance. They were cheered watched by their 16-year old daughter in the audience stands as they grooved to “Ik main hoon” from Fida. The couple got a standing ovation after their performance.

Varun Badola and Rajeshwari did a great job swinging to a Bunty aur Babli number as did Archana and Parmeet. Delnaaz Paul gave it all for her “It’s the time to disco” beat. I also like ther performances of Apoorva-Shilpa. Some disappointments were Rohit and Mansi, Poonam-Manish, Manini-Mihir, Shakti-Sai and Amit-Neeru. But its early days yet and we will have to wait and see how things develop.

About the judges:

Malaika Arora is quite balanced and maybe a bit politically correct. Farhan Akhtar too sounds quite sweet in his comments.

However, Saroj Khan appears a bit too critical particularly of the choreographers. C’mon Sarojji, these are just kids starting out. You don’t have to feel insecure about them.

About the concept:

The show is quite innovative. Having couples who are not born or trained dancers to perform is quite a feat. The packaging is quite professionally done. The only ham in the entire sequence appears to be Sangeeta Ghosh who ought to curb her shrill welcoming tones. In contrast, her male counterpart Shabbir does a competent job.

This is definitely a show worth watching.

2) Bunty aur Babli songs seem to be the most popular with the contestants. No wonder even the name of the show is derived from a song from the film.

After lots of halla gula, this serial was launched.

Its a good break from normal saas-bahu and rona-dhona-badla kind of serials.....

I had not seen the first 2 days but watched on only Thursday.

First of all, this show is showcased from a long time, a lot of publicity in newspapers, FM Radios etc...Though I didn't religiously followed it but came to know on thursday that each couple have their personal trainer choreographer.........

Its a good change to watch these actors dance..... mind u not all r dancers.

For eg, Ronit roy's wife is not a good dancer... same is the case with Delnaaz's husband.... Though they danced beautifully together, both the pairs.

Also there r today relatively oldies like Sachin and his wife Supriya and Parmeet Shethi & Archana Puransingh......

But yesterday it was fun to watch them all perform...

I want to add specifically Delnaaz who is fat and still she danced beautifully enjoying each and every moment of her dance and looking very beautiful... she made it look beautiful and shown that even a fat girl like her can dance well even saroj khan complimented her.

Just what I noted was the one exception couple is Amit and his fiancee they r exception as they r the only non married couple.

There r 10 couples in all.........all were judged by 3 judges (Malika Arora, Frahan Atktar and Saroj khan) each gave points out of 10...

Whatever SMS/calls audiance will do to support any pair, the charity supported by that pair will get the money..... this was announced. All pairs have chosen different charities.........

1) Manish & Poonam Goel perfomed good, manish was better and they got 14 points

2) Mihir Mishra & Manini de performed good. (manini's wig was evident)

3) Amit sood & Neeru performed ok according to me but they were judged very poor and their trainer was blamed directly for giving them steps of group dancers and even told that there was no chemistry between them in the dance.... they are at the lowest in all the pairs at 10 points.

4) Varun badola and Rajeshwari performed ok and they got good points. I think they got 13 points, correct me if I m wrong.

5) Then came Parmeet & Archana who performed brilliently on Hum to Zola uthake chale tune........ though I didn't like wig of archana ........ they got 24 points 8 from each judge. Their chemisty was very evident to me.

6)Rajiv & Delnaaz , delnaaz was simply gr8.........they got 25

7) Apoorva & Shilpa Agnihotri dance real good...... they got 26

8) Rohit & Manshi Roy danced good. Actually Rohit was gr8 but some of Mansi's actions like shaking her head were mentioned by judges. He supported her very much.

9) Sachin & Supriya were cute in dancing they got the maximum 30 out of 30......

10) Sakti & Sai were good...
