Smartphones cannot really come any cheaper than the Motorola Moto C. Powered by MediaTek, the phone has a sturdy built and won’t give any you palpitations if you accidentally drop it. The device is not particularly slim or lightweight, but most people find it to be inoffensive. When it came out, the device ran on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat armed with an octa-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.2 GHz which is respectable for a phone at this price tag. So, if you are looking for something below 5k, this is an ideal buy. It offers 16GB of flash memory which is one of the highlighting features of the phone that you’ll come across in the segment.
Motorola Moto C has basic camera modules at the front and the back with LED flash next to both the lenses. The device sips juice from a 2350mAh battery which can last about 1-2 days for a phone with smaller display, low resolution and minimal pixel density, consuming on lower power. Following are the key features of the pocket-friendly phone below:
Android 7.0 OS Nougat
Fixed focus rear camera at 5-MPs with LED flash, HDR mode & 720p HD video recording
Front camera with LED flash at 2-MPs
5 inches display and a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels
GPS, A-GPS, positioning
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, micro-USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity
Processor: MediaTek MT6737m 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz
1GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage plus microSD card slot for expansion
GSM/WCDMA/FDD/TDD networks
146mm x 74mm x 9 mm in dimensions
154g in weight
2350 mAh battery
Let’s face it, the device might not exactly be the best that is out there, but for this price it is hard to find anything else that I’d rather own. It offers slightly above minimum and makes for a respectable device in the low-budget segment.
