Monotel Luxury Business Hotel, Kolkata

Monotel Luxury Business Hotel is one of the four star hotels of Kolkata.I went to this hotel for dinner and I liked the food presentation and menu too.You have a lot of choices in deserts,veg,non-veg and many more.The dinner room was perfectly decorated with attractive lights and candles.Guest service was fine.They always used to ask about services you wanted.Ambience and decor was good.All the tables were decorated with new and clean clothes.Yes,since the hotel is four star so the value of money is somewhat high but can be afford by high profile people.If possible I would suggest people to go once.

As the name says it is a business hotel. It is a good place for staying if you come on a business trip for a day or two. The ambience as you can say is very good and the rooms as seen from outside is good.

They have conference halls which can be given for holding conference, meetings or training sessions. We had our training their and I was very disappointed with the quality of food. They had this buffet system and the choise of food as well as the taste was not at all good. They had no sense of choosing what to include with what. They served us with normal yellow dal with naan and had 2 vegetables both of which were aloo.

The service was pathetic where you yourself had to scoop out the ice cream and serve yourself. So this was what was called self service.

Also we were on a conference around 100 people. During lunch when we went to their restaurant they straight away told us npt to take seats as they were reserved for guests. So were we not their guests? Were we their on a charity? This is so ridiculous and pathetic service because their were many tables empty and my group had to sit at different places where their were 1 seats left!

We went their for 3 days and one day was a little better where the food could be called okay.

I would not recommend the restaurant there and especially not the buffet menu.

Monotel Luxury Business Hotel in Salt Lake is very good take while considering exexutive trip only. I styed in tge hotel for 2 day 3 night during one if my stay in Kolkata. No dobut tge hotel is well equipped with all tge ammenities and with very well mannered sraffs and executives.

Tge view from frint room is very nice as I can see whole of Nicco Park Lake. Roim is not very spacious but well constructed.

The natural light is very low and one ha e to depwnd on interior lighting even in day. Tge bathroom is very clean and beds are very cosy.

The in house restaurant is disappointing but its okay for breakfast. All in all a very nice stay and a hotel to look for the price I got. It cost me 3500/- INR for double bed which is reasonably very low. I also got complementary pick up and drop at airport : )I will recommend the hotel to everyone who are planning to visit Salt Lake the electronics complex.
