A small trip to Chennai Marina Beach
Feb 10, 2016 04:28 PM 2725 Views

I am going to share my experience on my recent visit to Chennai.

It was a 7 days journey and it is first time I am visiting to any metro city. I started my journey from Indore, MP and it took 30 hours journey. I was so existed and also nervous because I was entering into a  completely different culture. The biggest issue I faced there is food and language. People normally use to eat food like fish, rise, idli, vada-sambhar, pongal etc etc:P

At 9:00 AM in morning I visited Chennai and I saw a huge Railway station(Chennai Central).

The first place I visited in Chennai is Marina Beach. This is the first time I saw a sea. I was so excited . The beach is very big and its look so beautiful. But I found that there is no proper security is their on beach and the beach is soo dirty, people throws there waste product anywhere on the beach. There is no garbage facility is there on beach. But truly saying I forgot all that unnecessary things and just concentrate on the beauty of Sea. After seeing the sea I feel motivated and I thought that there is never ending learning in life so just grab knowledge from experiences and put your efforts in right place.

Guys, there are lots of other places I visited in Chennai. Chennai is very nice and beautiful city.I hope you all guys will visit there once in life.Hope you will like it.

As of late I went by Chennai to investigate its shorelines and other visitor spots. Subsequent to going by one shoreline at day time we went to well known Marina shoreline at night. Marina is one of the biggest shoreline on the planet. Also, Yes, we have seen it. On halfway to Marina passage point it begin getting unmistakable. It would appear that ocean has gained significant part of the area and secured it under its arms. The passage point is delightfully planned having garden on both the side. Satisfying climate arrives with immaculate feel made by lights and little shops there.

On the sand way you will discover numerous slows down for frill and nourishment. The spot is stuffed and make a definite spot to look over. The shoreline is spotless and clear, we appreciated all the conceivable things there. We played with water, which was then halted by a policeman as it was past the point of no return. This is the indication of tight security which is better than average.

You can appreciate the unique bajjis, sweet corns and natural product serving of mixed greens there. The spot is truly worth to visit and it truly has a grand impact particularly in night.

Do visit Marina once in nightime, its an existence time experience without a doubt.

A great night out experience

Recently I visited Chennai to explore its beaches and other tourist spots. After visiting one beach at day time we went to famous Marina beach at evening. Marina is one of the largest beach in the world. And Yes, we have seen it.

On half of the way to Marina entrance point it start getting visible. It looks like sea has acquired major part of the land and covered it under its arms. The entrance point is beautifully designed having garden on both the side. Pleasing atmosphere is there with perfect ambiance created by lights and small shops there. On the sand path you will find many stalls for accessories and food. The place is overcrowded and create an exact spot to glance over. The beach is clean and clear, we enjoyed all the possible things there. We played with water, which was then stopped by a policeman as it was too late. This is the sign of tight security which is really good.

You can enjoy the special bajjis, sweet corns and fruit salad there. The place is really worth to visit and it really has a scenic effect especially in night.

Do visit Marina once in nightime, its a life time experience for sure.

No more beach..worst place to have fun
Jan 15, 2016 09:09 PM 2629 Views

I love to explore new places.i visited so many places but this time I experienced the worst.i booked my hotel through goibiob.com where I easily get good affordable room in hotel himalaya residency near marina beach triplicin.i think this is the best thin in the whole trip booking of hotels through online.Marina beach is just in walkable distance from my hotel.all my friends are really exited to bath in beach but this turn to be a nightmare when we reached there and see that the beach was really dirty and in the day time limited shops are open to get fresh water.i travelled on 9th jan 2016 and after reaching there I feel like its mid of summer.

LIKES-rooms are available in good affordable price near marina beach, ice cream stalls are present on beach, highly coperative people, good varity of fishes are available in night, at night its really amazing to sit near it, completely lighting, all type of stores are available specially pearl made items, food tastes good, horse riding

Dislikes-beach is really very dirty, woods and thermocols pieces are scatter here and there, water is polluted, not suitable to bath, trasportation cost is high if you choose to take auto, costly food, humid climate, limited places to visit near chennai central railway station and marina beach is in distant from chennai central.

Next time if I will go there I will visit waterfalls which are in so much distance from chennai central and horse riding.its better to go for one time.no more good places to visit in chennai.so many water falls are present nearly 500 km away from it.if u love to walk aroung beach in evening time, its best for you .This place is best for family members and couples.not agood hang out place with friends unless u are localite.

Lovely Sunrise

Marina Beach has a beautiful sunrise. I reach there in the morning to see Sunrise. There are thousands of pigeon we can see in the morning time. Lovely view. This beach is nearly 2km from main road. You need to walk walk and walk.

So many games are available over there and mostly for children. You can have different types of snacks from stalls. Good space for parking your vehicles. Try to reach evening before 6.30pm , it's closing time. One very bad thing is this beach is very dirty: -( . But when it comes to enjoyment off course everyone will ignore it. Try to be clean : -) as early as possible when you reach back to your destination. ; -) .

Best beach to enjoy with friends
Dec 16, 2015 10:40 PM 2643 Views (via Android App)

Marina beach is one of the popular and best beach in India, which we can see in Chennai. I visited here with my college friends in 2014 in the month of May. It was full day picnic, so we reached here around 3.30pm. There was lot of crowd in the beach as there is a lot space and this beach is very long and its better for evening walk too. Even so many foreigners were there here and enjoying the evening.

The main specialty of this beach is here people always there even in the night and specially comes with the family. Here some of the best facilities like bathroom and even guards are also available at any time when there is difficulty. Most of the tourist people visit here and here there is a cool breeze so it feels very cool. Overall its a best beach to visit and enjoy with family.

Marina Beach Located in Chennai Is the longest sand beach in India spanning a massive 13 kilometres.

It is Chennai's lifeline of sorts for everyone alike, and the beach is always bustling with people be it at 4 in the morning or 12 in the night you'll always find someone going to the beach

The most iconic part of the beach Is the lighthouse and the surrounding area.

There is a skate park which is open for all and beautiful sidewalks for commuters.

The beach extends from Adyar at one end all the way to Chennai harbour and the iconic Chepauk stadium next to the beach is a sight to ponder.

The best time to visit the beach is definitely in the evening with a cool breeze hitting you and the cool water from the bay of bengal touching your feet after standing on the warm sand is a wonderful experience.

Street food is something you shouldn't miss out there.chats, roasted corn, popcorn, candy floss and much more totally worth trying.

A visit to Chennai without visiting the Beach is incomplete and it's definitely worth the visit.

Only advice would be to avoid visiting during the afternoon due to the strong sun and also if it's raining. But you will definitely leave with memories worth remembering over the years to come

Nice place

You can find people selling sundal, pop corn. There are other people who carry a small cage in which parrrot is their and the parrot picks up a card and tells us our future. Ah, wonderful place to visit in chennai

Last year we all of family going to tour on south india in Tamilnadu. There is lots of places but I like to Marina Beach beauty.

Tamil Nadu, India city of Chennai's Marina Beach, the main tourist attraction. It is India's longest coastline. Meanwhile, two hundred to three hundred yards wide sandy beach is crowded in the evening so that it appears as if the whole city come here to be settled. The coast is rocky, like the other beaches, but it is mostly sandy. The sea air is also strictly forbidden.

Main Attractions in chennai

The most packed shoreline in India and possibly the reason I haven't been there after a visit in my initial adolescence and at the end of the day in my late high schoolers. However, in the event that the climate is wonderful it can in any case draw you to appreciate the waves' frenzy and the vast number of little and enormous boats in the skyline.

The shoreline has hellfire parcel of little shops/diners furthermore possesses a scent reminiscent of heaps of fishes. As of late heaps of redesign work has been attempted and a few statues, dedications and pathways have been made to enhance its general look and feel(in my following visit I am without a doubt going to visit it again to see the progressions and overhaul more pics of the same).

It is the longest common urban shoreline in the nation and the world's second longest and is 13 kms long. The one an excess of statues along the stretch of a shoreline is a touch of a blemish. There are huge amounts of foodstalls that give different sorts of sustenance thus you would never go hungry on the off chance that you spend a day at the shoreline here.

Marina Beach is likewise exceptionally swarmed the vast majority of the times as its in close nearness to numerous administration workplaces, a school and the Madras University. It is extremely all around joined by transports from all over Madras.

Real Nature's Beauty.

Marina Beach is located in Chennai, it is the longest natural urban beach in the country and the world's second longest beach which is 13 kilometers long.

Marina beach has lots of statues in honor of great legends and there are so many stalls where we can enjoy the real Indian chat items. In weekends the crowd strength reaches from thirty thousand to fifty thousand. It has many landscaped galleries, beautiful decorative installations and Swimming pool near Kannadi statue.

In evening it become's more beautiful and pleasant and sand changes it's color to golden when sunsets, Marina beach is  also called as golden sand. It's perfect place to take long walks with loved ones. It's definitely the pride of Chennai where it is filled with nature's beauty, We can visit this place any time in year and it's suited for everyone.

Attractive and longest beach.
Sep 04, 2015 12:28 AM 5495 Views

This is the second longest beach on the planet with roughly 13 KMs length. This beach is ideal for only family and large groups of friends. Definitely not suitable for lovers and couples who want to spend time in peace. There are lots of important sites located in and around marina beach. They are,

  • Madras University,

  • Tamil Nadu secretariat complex,

  • Dr. M.G.R memorial,

  • Anna memorial,

  • Light house

Ideal time to visit this beach is evening times and early morning times to take a look at sunrise from the sea. There are hundreds of tiny shops that make ideal for families to buy sea shell products and eateries like bajji shops etc.

The light house is made accessible for people till evening 6 from last year at a ticket cost of just 30(not sure about the current ticket price). Para gliding is introduced recently. It is easily accessible by train as well as bus. Thiruvallikeni is the nearest railway station.

Though there were lot of fish stalls which attracted us and taste was so delicious. Yeah Cocunut's water is very tasty. Had a lot of stuff with my colleague. Marina beach is considered world's  second longest beach .A beach which is 13 km large including a 6 km promenade.and a part of the Indian Ocean.this beach is sited at kamaraja salai road which is 3 km far from the main capital city of tamilnadu.

The marina beach is covered with a golden sand and a clear strip of blue sea.we visited chennai for 3 days.I was very much exited to visit the marina beach.as its is world's second longest beach having 13 km length from St George fort to Mahabalipuram.we went there around 6 am to see the awesome view of sunrise.it was very very beautiful. It seems like sun is coming out from the water.we had a nice walk on the sand which was very relaxing.it was really fun to walk along the shore by water. .

Then we played with water but I didn't find it more clean because lots of garbage was in the water.my son made a nice big sand castle.we were enjoying the waves coming from the sea.the view was really amazing we felt like not to return to our city.but we couldn't spend too much time due to hot weather and we decided to come again  in the evening.we reached to Marian's beach around 6.20.too many food stalls were there.really amazing variety of food made me crazy as I tried many varieties of food.the view was totally different from morning view.too much crowd was on the beach and it was very loud too as many families had come there to enjoy the view of sunset.too many large groups of youngsters.they were enjoying in the water throwing water on each other.my son was also playing with them and my husband and I both were sitting together on the sand.lovely moment.when you continue see the water waves coming to you.amazing feeling which I can't express.love to visit it again.

The Beach !!!
Jul 25, 2015 09:03 PM 4353 Views

Sunday afternoon I took a bus from Vadapalani to the marine.I reached at 5pm.Well as it was raining I could feel the chill. The Beach is decorated with hoardings(welcome & danger). The beach is a long stretch for walking. The famous fishwala's are a tourist attraction. They are so much used to catching fishes from live sea. They have mastered the tricks for daily consumption.Much like mumbai marine drive it has stalls of food drinks. The minister has donated and lite a fire in memory of elite. Cocunut's are a bit expensive compared to rest of chennai. Nice resting place for family and friends. After 8pm, we wereinstructed to leave the place by marshals since sea level increases.

Overall if you visit Chennai, must see for all.

Marina Beach Chennai-World Famous
Jul 12, 2015 06:15 PM 3571 Views

I am a regular visitor of Marina Beach which is situated in Chennai. I have never seen such a beautiful beach which is the largest sandy beach along the Bay of Bengal.Evening is the best time to visit as there are many stalls and eateries which sell hot snacks prepared fresh.Getting a proper position for car park is a bit difficult. It is the second longest beach in the world and the longest in India. But a saddening fact is lot of waste is being dumped in the beach by the hawkers and fishermen. It could be kept more clean. You can take a walk along the beach road or the paths inside.

On Sunday there are lots of people who cone for jogging and walking. There is a light house nearby and then Anna and MGR(the former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu) samadhis. You can stand on the waves and enjoy the feel of the waves touching your feet. When it is hot you can visit the beach to get some fresh air. Many tourists coming here make it a point to visit the beach. It is easily accessible from all parts of the city.Still Marina is my favourite Beach.

Not only this you can also see this places near by the beach like viveka nada house, chepauk cricket stadium, marina swimming pool, aquarium, university of madras, precidency college etc., in simple it is good beach to visit.

What a lovely beach!!
Jul 08, 2015 03:06 PM 3582 Views

The Marina beach is the second longest beach in the world.I live in Chennai, so I have the opportunity to visit the beach every time, when I'm free.It is very cool, there. There are many beach vendors, who sell tasty delicacies like Vadai,

Hot snacks.I don't recommend you to eat them. But anyway I love eating them. One thing I don't like about the beach is that many passengers are dropping waste on the sands. It makes the sand dirty. There are no problems for safety expect I read in the newspaper that someone had been drowned in the beach. There are police patrolling.

It is so spacious and the long stretch of the sea looks really breathtaking, along the Bay of Bengal. It is the longest beach in India(around 13km stretch). There are many hotels near the beach for one to say.You cannot bath or swim here as it is prohibited.People who visit Chennai surely must come to this beautiful beach. Every Sunday I make it a point to visit the beach.
