Located in the neighbourhood of mahim it is one the most visited dargah in mumbai after haji Ali.

A devotional shrine and a religious center for the locals and also for outsiders, and a yummy food market in nearby road.

Makhdoom Shah Baba Dargah was located in Mumbai in Maharashtra. The most peaceful place if you go with the right intentions, just go inside the Dargah pray your heart out, you will feel relaxed. This place was my most loved one. Mashallah love to visit with family, one of the best place I like.

Makhdoom Shah Baba Mahim was a saint and scholar of international repute, he lived during the time of 'Tughlaq'density and that of 'Sultan Ahmed'Shah of Gujarat. And was married to the sultan's sister. He is widely acknowledge for his scholarly treatises, liberal views and humanist ideals. Mahim was born into a family of Arab Travellers from Iraq who had settled down on the island of Mahim, one of the Seven Islands that literally formed the city of Mumbai.

Best time to visit any divine place is in the morning no rush at all and one can easily spend the valuable time along with their family. So beautiful and silent as well as cool place I love this place. A very beautiful and awesome place very devotional a good holy place to visit and feel blessed.

Don't forget to get a Sharma from Zaheer Bhai and sweets from Afzal and some tea cookies from bakery these tastes awesome.

Hazrat Makhdum Ali Mahimi is rightly called "Qutb-E-Kokan" as he lived in Mahim, a well known town on the Western Coast of Konkan.

He was a Scholar & Sufi of Par Excellence. He was the first commentator of the Holy Quran in India. Hazrat Makhdum Ali Mahimi's Shrine has a history of about 600 years, which is visited every year by millions of devotees of different caste and creed.

My brother has been a regular visitor here for years and one day I decided to go along with him and the experience was so peaceful that even I've been a regular there after that. you completely get covered with the ittar fragrance as it is poured continuously on the tomb. the dargah has many stories of miracles about it amongst which he recent famous one was in 2006 when a rare phenomenon occurred where in the sea water in the Arabian sea adjacent to Mahim dargah turned sweet.

The water remained sweet for about more than three days. Thousands of people flocked to this place not only from Mumbai but also from various states of India and the water was said to have cured many illnesses. the dargah also has an annual fair observed over a period of ten days in and around the month of December, Ten lakhs visitors attend the said fair. The highlight of the Mela is the arrival of a series of processions with old-fashioned lanterns and music(Duff), mostly on Thursday and Sunday, the leader of which stop to make their obeisance to the saint. Mumbai Police officers and the Constables are personally attached to the dargah. The Police Department, on the occasion of first day of Mela offers Sandal & Chadder to & shows their devotion in such a manner that it has set an example of its own. this particular act has been highlighted in Ajay Devgan's Singham2. other times of the year when the dargah is very crowded is during Urs festival. a very famous tourist attraction and a must visit dargah in Mumbai after Haji Ali.
