Madras Crocodile Bank, Chennai

I visited crocodile bank last week.  It is located in vadanemmeli panchayat in Mahabalipuram.  It is around 60 km from chennai.  The ticket charge is 50 rupees per head for adults with a parking fee of 20 rupees for car.  In my opinion this place is for all those who are interested in wildlife.  Best place to visit with children, this place will be really interesting for them.  You can see varieties of giant alligators, crocodiles, tortoise, wild dragon, .etc.  Be very careful with kids and do not try to put your hands into the fence.  Place is very safe to visit with family.  This park is located on road side itself so it is very easy to access this place.  There are small eateries near the parking area and also one shop inside the park from where you can eat snacks and cool drinks. Cameras are allowed inside.  Will take one and half hour to see all these.

This place is located around 40kms south of Chennai on the scenic ECR.

It won't be wrong if we'll call it bank of crocodile as they are numerous in number kept in a large green water.. It is completely a different experience to watch so many of them in one place . There are variety of crocodile, tortoise, lizard and so on. There is a snake park in the same premises.

Place is well maintained and they have a plenty of greenery all around. this place is not to be missed. it is worth visiting and a very interesting place especially to take your kids on weekends.

This park is located around 40km from Chennai on East Coast Road, in Muttukadu.There are wide varieties of crocodiles and reptiles kept in this place.

It is a good tourist spot and worth visiting.Some crocodiles are really lazy and don't even move.I liked the ac glass enclosure for the king Cobra.

I thought these creatures look really large when you see them directly. You are even allowed to feed them at specific timings, when I went there it was around 4.30pm.They say that the park has more than 2000 crocodiles.You can also see the Snake park.

But I think the authorities should make the place more tourist friendly with more amenities for the visitors.But it is better to avoid the visit during summer due to intense heat which hovers above 40 degrees. The kids are sure to enjoy it.Visiting hours are 08:30hrs – 17:30hrs.
