Machan Restaurant, Mallital, Nainital

I visit Naital very often . And one place I love going to eat is Machan. It has a great view and homely atmosphere . You can see the lake between the trees. It is on the mall road which makes it easy to visit. We get both veg and nog veg cusines. We get all the dishes from pancakes with honey to momos and soup.And not only does it serve varitey but also the quality and taste is outstanding. The restaurent warm hartedly welcomes both couples and familes. The interior is beautiful with lake on oneside and a wall with Awardeds and pictures on the other.

Hey guys , today I went to a reataurent called machan situated at mall road in nainital. its a big named restaurant .

I finally went there and the restaurent is not so cool. its looks were cool.

the food which I ordered was normal or I would say average . the presentation was good.

its ambience is cool. not so much good as I thought .

customer service is good and they were quiet friendly and mannered. but this is not the only thing u want from a good well know restaurant .this restaurant is quiet expensive and the food is not that much good as they cost . so finally I ll say that you would rather go for other restaurants , that ll satisfy u all .

I have done my diploma from nainital.so that time we went there .there hospitality is very fine.the beauty of place is like a heaven.this place very neat & clean.service is good & quick.many type of dishes available.taste is awsm.taste of chicken delicious.staff is active .charges is good.in short place is awsm & restaurant gives good service to customers.

Machan Restaurant at Mallital in Nainital boasts a great location. Close to the Mall Road and the gorgeous Naini Lake, this restaurant is one of the most famous eateries in this hill station. My experiences here, however, did not match the expectations.

The view offered from the restaurant is compelling and you hope the food to justify the view. However, that is not the case. The eatery is not big in size, so you have to wait for sometime to get a seat during peak season. The service is prompt and the hygiene is also reasonably good.

The last time I was in Nainital, I had Pizza, Crispy Corn and Garlic Bread. All three of them were definitely below average. The portion size was adequate, however, the Pizza tasted dry at times. Crispy Corn should have been amply cooked. The Garlic Bread too lacked adequate toppings.I did not try their North Indian dishes, so cannot comment on them.

I also had a go at ice-cream and cold coffee. Both of them were well-made, however, the portion of ice-cream was smaller than expected. The noodles too tasted excellent. In fact, there was little difference between the taste of noodles here and some other eateries in Nainital.

The eatery's location is one of its biggest USP. However, their food needs some improvement, especially the Chinese and non-North Indian items.

We dined at machan, a good Chinese restaurant in nainital.This restaurant is very famous and we had chowmin and chilli chicken .The taste is awesome .we had dined at night and the restaurant is quite spacious .We liked staff attitude .

We liked the taste of chilli chicken because it was mouthwatering .Eating out in Machan added to our tour as we loved every bit of the restaurant .I think booking a seat is not a fashion there .If you want you can buy chowmin, chicken recipe, fried rice to your home and can enjoy it at home .Delicious food in cold winter is a fun.Go and enjoy your time.

We had extremely good chinese food in Machan restaurant in the hill station of Nainital.We discovered it and thought that evening we would have dinner consisting of chicken fried rice and chicken and fish Manchurian .We reached and by chance or by luck found an empty table .We waited not more than 10 mins and the food was good in quantity and garnished with cucumber and onions.Sauce was kept in phials.At least five six types of sauce we added and the food was delicious .

Fried rice was perfect and chicken and fish was perfect neither very dry nor gravy .The restaurant was full of eaters.Music was on and it added to the environment .Staffs were agile and observing .We took ice cream .It is expensive.All that ends well goes well.We paid bill including ST and VAT.Please have s visit here Atleast 40 variations of chow are available .

Machan was a surprise find in nainitaal. food was really good and it was quite cheap. we had north indian food and it was good. though the service can be better. but the quality of food is good so u don't have to worry about health. we had lunch in the restaurant and the place was really crowded. do not expect anything fancy and you wont be disheartened.

Overall a nice food experience.you can enjoy with your friends and family.

Machan, beyond doubt is the best restaurant in Nainital. I have been to it on a number of times and its one of my favourites. Since it is my favourite, its going to be reflected in my review as well. But I will try to be as objective as possible leaving aside my personal feelings for the place. It has that rustic wild, jungle sort of a decor that adds to the ambience. What fascinates me the most are the big windows that add a very beautiful view of the Naini Lake to your eating experience. I also feel that the furnishings are comfortable and cozy to certain extent.

The music normally is soft and soothing. The staff is efficient and I have always seen them wearing a smile on their faces. NOW! The most important feature of the eatery. THE FOOD. They are just too good with their food and maintained service levels. Although they are very good in the Veg and Chinese offerings, one must try their Non-veg dishes(Chickens & Mutton Rogan Josh), and yes how can I forget the Pizzas. They serve the best in town. However you wouldn't like to wait for long intervals as they don't offer reservations, but I have actually seen people waiting in line for almost half hour on weekend nights, may be because it satisfies your palate so well. If you miss this out you miss out on the flavor of "The Lake District". Happy Eating!
