Lokmanya is clever enough to display all shiny part and hide all which will not sale.
Knowing well that people want to keep money in banks it poses itself as a bank. All their offices/branches are designed to look like a bank. Look at their logo and major advertisements.
Literal meaning of co-operative society means "business of all members coming together". But same is also not being followed.
Entire organisation controlled by one or two people. Classic example of how co-operative societies can go out of control and can be autocratic. Employees of Lokmanya call their Chairman as "Maamaa", in Marathi Maamaa means the one to who easily gets fooled.
Thanks to Hon President of India who now made it mandatory for all co-operative societies to give voting right to all members. But Lokmanya may deviate this rule for sure as it always does things by twisting its purpose.
Because shareholders have voting rights, their Annual General Meetings are conducted in a short notice and intimation letters hardly reach any voting member.
Their annual reports are published and circulated in close group.
(Even to shareholders they do not bother to courier the reports). These reports are not audited, thus not worth reading.
They claim to be earning money via multipurpose activities. But when people actually go and visit their branches these services are never provided in a time in which any other service provider will provide. Thus if you wait longer and insist the service, you are spotted as an investigator. These multipurpose businesses are also not fixed one, they keep on changing. They do business when no body notices.
Two star because even after doing lot of Golmal, organisation still survives because lot of customers are also interested in such Golmal. Employees can stay here if they are ready to get into this culture of adjustments.
