It's been quite some time I wanted to write a review. But I waited until I confirmed that my experience wasn't wrong so that I don't write a wrong review of a products. My review is not based on my single purchase, indeed I bought two pairs of shoes at different times to make sure I get the right experience. So, they made me fool twice. My job allows me to visit different countries of the world. I moved to UK six months back in October 2009, Before moving, I considered it better to buy a nice pair of shoes..and what bettter place to get a pair of shoes than Liberty. After all it is not wise spending money in pounds for a pair of joota. So, I visited Liberty showroom in Lajpat Nagar Central Market, New Delhi.
Well, the staff was helpful and they helped me select a pair of black shoes. Within three months the stitches from the front broke and started showing. Not a good picture of an international salesman like me. If I cant buy a nice pair of shoes, why would they spend millions in my company;s services? isn't it? When I visited India back in December 2009, Liberty people recognized me and willingly got ready to fix the shoe. Unfortunately, I liked another pair and bought it. I wasn't the best fit, but they persuaded and claimed and convinced and sweared (not really) that it would fit soon. My mistake! I know our feet change shape during the day, but an ill-fitting shoe is an ill-fitting shoe. It hardly matters what time of te day you are wearing it. A comfortable shoe will tell you in moments you wear it.
Readers, believe me, you don't need to try 100 pairs to reach the right one. You know a nice pair the moment you wear it. Go by instinct, not by design or bullshit of the salesman. This is the 6th month of my old pair and the sole has broken. Being in UK, I don't even treat my shoe bad lest they don't sue me. ha ha! Its just funny that I have started getting upset with liberty for manufacturing worst shoes and selling me two pairs of that crap.
The new pair is as uncomfortable as the previous one.
In all, I won't recommend Liberty shoes to anyone. I'd rather go for Hushpuppies or something else. Well, I am actually avoiding buying one in UK. :-)
