Lenovo DB65 Portable External DVD Writer

I had lenovo laptop whose DVD driver was not working so thought of buying external DVD drive. One of my friend suggested this product. Its been more than a month I have brought this portable external DVD writer.

Have written more than 10 DVD's.

Pros:-

Excellent packaging & delivery from snap deal

Fairly decent cable length.

Easy installation.

Good finish.

Cons:-

Slightly noisy, very bearable.

The DVD case/tray is a little flimsy, needs to be handled with care.

Overall very good to buy.

I bought this external DVD-writer from Lenovo via Flipkart on 28th July. Since November it's not working. Its not getting recognised by any computer (tried on a few). I tried calling all the service centers listed on the Lenovo site. Some I couldn't reach and the others are telling me that DVD writers can't be repaired. The customer care of Lenovo gave me two service center numbers, both of which turned out to be invalid.

Now, they're saying they can't do anything else.

I even tried calling the retailer whose number was there on the bill. They are saying that they are situated in Delhi. They can't do anything from there. There's still one month of warranty left. What do I do??
