Today I am going to give review about Lakhota Palace and Museum of Jamnagar, Gujarat. After the Lakhota beautification by JMC(Jamnagar Mahanagar Palika) it looks more attractive. It is one the great place to visit with family and friends. You can find peaceful atmosphere the sweet sound of birds when you are walking at morning time. They are charging Rs.10 per person for entry fees.At morning time the entry is free from 5AM to 9AM.
Colorful fountain, Laser show, red carpet for joggers are the most watchable attractions. They are charging Rs.25 for half and hour laser show from evening time. You can easily spend enough time when you are with family and friends.
Lakhita lake, palace and museum is main week end refreshment places for people of jamnagar.
Jamnagar Municipal corporation( JMC) has executed renovation project which is completed recently and now lakhota lake is open for public. Previous Sunday I had visited Lakhota lake, paid ticket 10 rs. per head.
It really beatiful place to spend 2-3 hours at every Sunday.
I liked very much the lazer show. Though Rs. 25/- extra ticket we have to pay but it is worth to watch.
They use to show history of jamnagar in detailed in almost 30 minutes presentation.
YOUR RATING ON
This palace and museum is located in between a lake, named Lakhota lake. And the palace is look likes a island on the lake.
In museum there are collections of various artifacts between 9th century to 18th century. There are various pottery. there is a skeleton of whale too in the museum.
At That time it was the guard room. so you will easily found swords, muskets etc there. on the walls of the museum have the painting of the various battles fought there. water color kind of paintings.
But the palace is not maintained well. and the entrance from main road to go to the palace is so dirty. I think government should do something to make it more attractive.
The museum is open from 10:30am to 5:30pm. The ticket fees for indians is Rs 2 and for foreigners is Rs 50 only.
A okay museum and palace. good for photography. but it should be maintain as soon as possible. one can spend a half day there.
