Kyon Ki Songs Movie Reviews

Nice and heart touching songs
Nov 25, 2016 02:51 PM3318 Views

I watched the movie several times because of its music and songs. Story of the movie is also good but I like this movie only because of its songs.

All songs are good and heart touching, also their music is all time hit for me.

Very well composed and excellent lyrics

Alka Ji, Udit Ji and Kunal Ji etc fabulous.

Its songs are like all time favorite.

Specially Aa jee le ek pal . and Kyoki itna pyar tumse karte hain . are the best songs of the movie.

Maine ye movie ke gaane sunne ki galti kyon ki??!

I was intrigued when I heard a "Salman Khan" movie was coming as I always get to hear fantastic songs in his movies. Movies like Wanted, Hum dil de chuke sanam, and many other movies had fantastic movies but the music in this movie was absolutely lame.

I was seriously disappointed to see that just because it was "Salman's" movie no one gave their one hundered percent, including the music director. I never appreciate this kind of laziness especially when it comes to music. I hope this is not the case for his upcoming movies.

Sweet, simple love songs I love!
Apr 12, 2006 04:52 AM3956 Views

I was pretty sarcastic when I saw a new Salman Khan movie at the box office. I mean his last film Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya was total crap! I don’t even really like the guy, even though he’s a really good actor. So when my brother borrowed this movie for me I totally freaked out, like that’s the crap you borrowed for me to watch! Oh well, I thought I might as well watch it. The movie wasn’t a disappointment. I loved it. The storyline was realistic, the acting solid. Immediately, I fell in love with the title track and other songs, so I absolutely had to have the album! I couldn’t download it so luckily I managed to buy the CD at and Indian Expo. The album is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics are by Sameer. So here are my views on the album.

Kyon Ki Itana Pyar Tumko I

This one and the female version are my favourite tracks in the album. The female version is sung by none other than Alka Yagnik, there are two versions by Uditji and Alka and one by Uditji and Radha. All versions are basically the same, and are very well sung by all singers. I thought it was a bit drastic having the same track four times but then it’s a great song. The song starts off with a harmonica intro with Uditji singing the chorus and then it gets faster with the piano and the ‘ohohhohh..’ chorus. It’s also the best song in the album.

Dil Keh Raha Hai

I was disappointed that such a great album contained no song by Sonuji, however it did contain one song by Kunal Ganjawala(does that make up? I think not, no offense to Kunal fans). The song is well sung and Kunal’s voice is just overflowing with passion and feelings. Well, he sounds great but Kunal’s songs just doesn’t get to me the way say Uditji’s songs do. There is also a remix version of this song, which is good as well and made me think the song wasn’t so bad after all.

Dil Ke Badle Sanam

I must say Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik have dominated the album. Somehow it reminds me of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai because I think both albums are the sweet, simple stuff I can listen to when I want something “light,” meaning not the usual heart-breaking, love songs I listen to mostly, eg. Chup Jaa Chup Jaa (Waqt). Anyway, this song is a sweet, simple love song between the two main people of the story Salman and Kareena, where both express their love for each other. I must say, the first time I heard this song I loved it, well the second, ‘cause I didn’t pay much attention to it in the movie. So when I heard it on CD I really loved it. My favourite part; de chuke de chuke tujhe dil yeh dil de chuke.

Jhatka Mare

Well the CD says it’s by Uditji, Kailash Ker and Shaan, but up till now I haven’t heard Shaan’s voice in this song. I did recognize Uditji’s voice and Kailash Ker’s but I couldn’t figure out where Shaan came in. Anyway, this my second favourite track after Kyon Ki Itana Pyar Tumko. What caught my attention in this song was the are re re..ar rerere, ar re re re ghooli mare tera dupatta chorus which I really loved. Also it’s got this wonderful, simple “idiany” beat. Uditji is at his best in this song and delivers with enthusiasm and really makes you get into the song.

Aa Jeele Ek Pal Mein Sau Janam

This is another sweet, simple love song between Kareena and Salman, though I think at the time of this song, these two didn’t quite realize how they really felt about each other. Yet again, Uditji and Alka take the spotlight to deliver another super, smash hit!

I can’t say anything further about this song, it really is sweet and simple and though I didn’t quite like it when I first heard it in the movie I really do love it now!

And that’s it really for this album. If you haven’t got this one yet, take my word for it, it’s really a must –have for your music collection!

!~*Kyun Ki..It Gave Me No Yaadash Of LiL Devils*~!
Dec 15, 2005 10:50 PM6885 Views

It was 5:30 am when I was woken up by the chattering of two little devils in the opposite room to me a.k.a you can call them my sisters! As I ran into their evil lair filled with barbie pictures all over the room and started shouting at them and asked them in such pain went on her knees “Why….why!!! Why me!!! Nooooo!!!” I was furious at the way they were reacting to my way of talking but what could I do. They ruined my dream I had with Sonu Nigam in it. As they were not able to notice me in the room and where watching TV quietly and giggling to the way the stupid telitubbies where dancing about! Which I had no reason to even ask them why do they watch all of that crappy stuff.

So I silently went into my room though banging it really hard behind me and I then went on to my all time favorite site Mouthshut.com which to satisfaction brought a smile onto my face. Though I was still furious at my two sisters for ruining my wonderful Sonu Nigam dream….he was about to say he loves me! :( couldn’t they wait for 3 seconds for him to say that!

Though I found a way that would cool down my tensed brain and which helps me cool down my anger for the two little devils. And that is Music. Though I see as a various amount of members have reviewed on the Kyun Ki album. I had finally decided to listen to the songs just for a change…and to my amazement mujhe un dono devils ki yaad hi nahi reh gayi :P :P (kewl na!)

So this is why I have decided to review on the Kyun Ki Album! Because it gave me no yaadash of the devils. Muahahahaha!!!

A Bit About The Album In General

Himesha Reshamiya has done a very fabulous job in this album, although in my thoughts doesn’t really bring anything that new into his albums, he still managed to make something really melodious this time as well. Though knowing that Salman Khan would be in this film I thought that this album would be another one of those albums with songs like Laga Prem Log ( the song drives me nuts) and songs like Just Chill from the film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, where the songs I would have thought to have expect from this album but nope. It was totally different and melodious to make you want to smile. :)

----------------------------------

Kyun Ki Itna Pyaar Tumse

----------------------------------

This song was very sweet and romantic song with some yet very romantic lyrics of course! I love the violin and the piano in the starting of the song. It brought some nice music and the tabla was also very suitable for the song to make the song sound more like our modern Indian style music and that is what I loved the most about it. The way they brought more Indian into the song rather than having English lyrics and music which only bring out an English music feeling to the person listening to it. Rating: 10/10

Singers: Udit Narayan & Alka Yagnik These two singers have always paired well while singing such very wonderful songs together and there is no way of not liking when they sing a song so beautifully, and a song like this I cannot regret listening to of yet with both of them singing it.

Kyun ki itni pyaar tumko karte hai hum…

Kya jaan loge humari sanam…

Kyun ki itna pyaar tumko karte hai hum…

------------------------------

Dil Keh Raha Hai

------------------------------

This song was very cool and it’s my second favorite from the whole album after the first song I have mentioned above! This song has some really nice melodious music with some truly romantic and cute lyrics which tell you that a guy is asking a girl to love him. It may be a typical love song as usual but brings a lot of spark into the album. The rhythm and the beat of the song it fast but gets you more into the song and makes you want to listen to it again and again. It may always be a pleasure to listen to this song! Rating: 9/10

Singer: Kunal Ganjawala brought his voice into this song which made me so happy and his voice really suited the music and added something very extra to make the song sound even more romantic. It show a lot of a fresh feeling when he sang it.

Dil keh raha hai…dil se yu rishta jodthu…

Teri dhadkano ko chulu…tera jism audhlu

--------------------------

Dil Ke Badle Sanam

--------------------------

This whole album is filled with so many melodious tracks so I don’t have to say that yet again we have another very romantic song! The background music is very nice and brings in some good rhythm into the music. It’s not that much of a fast track and not much of a slow track but it is just a perfect song! It’s a song with some very nice lyrics which can just make you want to give you own heart to the song! The song is very famous in the album and it’s a nice song for a slow dance. Rating: 9/10

Singers: Udit Narayan & Alka Yagnik Yet again they come back together in the same album and the album is looking pretty good from here with them in it! I feel that their voices once again matched very well together and blended in well with the music to make the song sound so extra special!

Dil ke badle sanam…darde dil le chuke…

De chuke..de chuke…tujhe dil ye dil de chuke..

Good score
Nov 28, 2005 12:27 PM4070 Views

Year 1998- Himesh Reshammiya got a one song contract for Salman Khan's Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya. The song was superhit and now in the year 2005 Himesh (arguably the most successful music director in the past couple of years) gives a bang in form of Kyun Ki...

I have seen most of the reviews on this album and all of them go song-by-song. So I have decided to do something different. I will go by genres.

  1. Soft, Soulful Music.........

Bingo......... the title song is perfect for this genre. The song is beautifully carved by the soft voices of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. One version of the song is also sung by Udit and Radhika. Radhika is a handicap but cudos to Himesh Reshammiya for giving her a chance. The lyrics are superb and so is the song. The only problem with the song is that you will like it only after listening to it fully for atleast 5-6 times.

Another one is Dil Ke Badle Sanam. Again a soft song but more of a routine kinda stuff. It is indeed melodiuos, but not meorable.

Next in line is Aa jee len ik pal mein sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. This song reminds you of Koi mil gaya. Himesh has delivered a different kind of music in this song. Different as far as his compositions are concerned. The rhythm is very good and doesnot break even for an interlude. Definitely worth listening.

  1. Peppy, Fast Numbers

First in line is Dil keh raha hai. It may be a routine song for Kunal Ganjawala, but a different one for Himesh and the listeners. The song as per me is the best song of the movie. It is a peppy number, not a dance number exactly. Himesh has managed to preserve the melody in the song even after the orchestration in the song. Kunal Ganjawala has delivered another song with extremely good vocals. The song is soothing to the ears and thus is proving to be a winner.

Second in line is Jhatka Maare. Another Chunri/Odhni kind of number from Himesh Reshammiya. Unlike the earlier songs on the same theme, this is more melodious and is foot tapping. With superb vocals by Udit Narayan, this song contains a hint of the rich folk music of Uttar Pradesh. A good song to listen to.

And there are innumerable Kyun Kis in the movie. Sometimes it becomes irritating to listen to Kyun ki after every song.

In all, the album will prove out as a winner, courtesy the starcast of the movie as well as a good score.

**I was hot, flustered and bothered, kyun ki...**
Oct 26, 2005 04:49 PM18056 Views

...I have had a bad morning. After waking up and discovering that my lovely straightened hair had managed to defy gravity once more and become wavy again, I was already in a bad mood. And then I found out that my cousin had ‘accidentally’ thrown my revision notes (which took me five hours to write) into the bin. And finally, even objects managed to turn against me. Whilst chasing her down the stairs, I fell down the last two steps and managed to do something or another to my ankle.

So being hot, flustered and bothered, I decided to revert to the sole in the world which helps me to calm down: music. Seeing as so many people have already reviewed the Kyun ki album (meaning there’s no reason why you should read mine), I decided to listen to it and find out what all of the fuss was about! And guess what? It cheered me up immediately! :-)

So ‘why’ did I decide to write a review on this album? Kyun ki (because) it made me smile! :-)

This album is another fabulous one from Himesh Reshamiya, who although doesn’t add anything new into the world of Indian music, still manages to produce some wonderful melodies. After the disastrous popularity of Just Chill, which I am still at a loss to understand (but that’s just me), I was wondering if the next Salman Khan film would bring yet again another cheesy album. But it didn’t, and I am very impressed! :-)

Kyun ki itna pyar tumse:

This is a very sweet song, sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Obviously with these two singers, it is very rare to not have such a beautiful song, which carries with it a sweet melody and romantic https://lyrics. This song has some gentle piano music playing in the background at the beginning, which is later supported by a smooth ‘tabla’ beat. It carries with it some of the sweetest music of the modern day. Rating: 4+

Kyun ki itna pyar tumko karte hai hum,

Kya jaan loge humaari sanam,

Kyun ki itna pyar tumko karte hai hum.

Dil keh raha hai:

This is my favourite song out of the whole album and one I cant stop listening to. Sung in Kunal Ganjawala’s sensuous voice, it is without a doubt a song sung with great feeling. The lyrics are very cute, from a guy’s perspective asking a girl to love him. The beat is quite fast and the drum in the background adds lots of flavour to the song. The melody is sweet and this song is a pleasure to listen to. Rating: 5+

Dil keh raha hai, dil se yun rishta jodthu,

Teri dhadkano ko chulu, tera jism audhlu.

Dil ke badle sanam:

This is yet again another romantic melody, sung again by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. This is probably because the whole film revolves around love. I think the background beat is somewhat similar to that of Kyun ki, but it is still an independently fabulous song, about how the couple have given each other their hearts and their lives. This song isn’t very fast, so it would be perfect for a slow dance. Rating: 4

Dil ke badle sanam, darde dil le chuke,

De chuke, de chuke, tujhe dil yeh dil de chuke

Jhatka Maar

I am guessing that this is an item number, (thought not too sure) because the lyrics and melody carry with them some signs of one. Nevertheless, it is still a wonderful song to dance to because of its fast beat and rhythmic background music. It has a very ‘traditional’ feel to it and runs along the lines of Kajra Re and Akhiyon se Goli Maro and obviously has random men “ooh-ing” and “aah-ing” in the background! :P It has been sung by Udit Narayan, Shaan and Kailash Kher. This is one of the favourites in the album! Rating: 5

Jhatka mare, dikhte hai tare,

Dekho dekho jaaye sarakhta,

Arre re re re re goli mare tera dupatta

Ae jeele ek pal mein

This is a slower song compared to the rest, but that doesn’t make it any less sweeter. I really like the lyrics of this song, saying how every different part of nature says to live a hundred lives in just one moment. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik sing it in their beautiful voices but I think the message of this song resembles Kal Ho Naa Ho to an extent. The melody is really cute and makes the whole song sound smooth and sugary. Rating: 4

Mausum ne kaha phoolon se,

Phoolon ne kaha khushboo se,

Khushboo ne kaha bhanwron se,

Bhanwron ne kaha shabnam se,

Aa jeele ek pal me sau janam

Along with these beautiful songs, the album holds four more tracks. There are three more versions of Kyun ki, which I find a waste of album space because they practically all sound the same. The last track is a remix of Dil Keh Raha Hai, which is a great song to dance to!

Overall, I think this album is the right one to listen to whenever you need cheering up because it has some wonderful songs in it, however I think that the director shouldn’t have put four versions of Kyun ki into the album because it gets repetitive. My favourite as I’ve already said is Dil Keh Raha hai, and if you really cant be bothered to listen to the whole album, then do check this song out because it is fab! (in my words :P)

Kyun ki we all need some music in our lives. Oh and I cant forget: Kyun ki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi :P

Don’t forget to RRC…I doubt I’ll be writing for a while because the dreaded E word are looming near. But I’ll try and reply to your comments! :-)

The reasonable reasons..
Sep 20, 2005 04:37 PM4541 Views

Hi friends. Let’s do some reasoning! Let’s find out the Why’s of many questions, which, by me, are still unanswered! So check this out for all the answers. Frame your question accordingly!!

Kyon Ki I wanted to download online songs of my favourite actor Akshay Kumar’s latest movie Garam Masala, I was a frequent visitor to the public forum [with restrictions in some sections] DJLuv.net. As downloading album takes a lot of space, I decided to mar my sleep, and got up at 6 to do the honours! But... my bad luck supported me quite well these days, as the album was far from being uploaded! I doubt if is it still released! However, on a fine day, I saw the album of Kyon Ki, which was fully uploaded by a blessed member of the site!

Kyon Ki I was also awaiting this album, and the arrival of which was unexpected for me, I went ahead and downloaded the album in full, each of the 9 songs being around 5.5Mb or so! Also, considering this one’s a love story featuring Salman Khan and Kareena together for the first time, I had a feeling that the album must be having some decent music!

Kyon Ki, till date, I have loved most of the music by Himesh Reshammiya, my expectations from this one rose enormously! And after having heard the album 3 times, I must say that the music is gonna be popular with good promotion, and after Tere Naam and Aitraaz, this one’s gonna be yet another feather in the cap of the talented composer! The regular Sameer saab does the job of providing some ordinary lyrics to be lifted by the tune of Himesh!

------------

Kyon Ki this is a Himesh Reshammiya album, it begins in a typical Himesh style [not so obvious!!], with a soothing duet as the opening track of the album! Kyon Ki... The word itself seems to have a problem with it! All things associated with this word tend to stretch itself like anything. The Ekta factor, I mean! You are a good person if you haven’t yet got my meaning. Anyways, let’s get back to some serious work! The beginning music piece is fantastic! There are 4 versions of theis title track - the opening one being the opening track :-). Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan give a mature feel to this well-composed track. I wouldn’t call this one a unique in it’s own way, as the overall feel is as old as the hills! However, it does revive old melodies! The second version is a solo one by Alka Yagnik. A haunting one, it is supposedly a sad one when the heroine is betrayed by the hero, and stuff like that. A good one!

Kyon Ki this is a music review, I have to include all the four songs for complete info on the track! The third in the row is by Udit Narayan and a Radha, who has a pretty childish voice! This is just the same as the opening track, with the sole change being the singer! Ditto the same. Is probably picturized on someone else in the movie! The fourth one, much like the earlier three, begins in the same fashion with the wonderful mouth organ tune. I just have no clue why this one was included in the list! It is just the same [lyrically, I mean] to the initial one, literally! And it features the same singers too, Udit and Alka! Just that Alka begins this, while the former did in the former! Overall, a song for lovers seriously in love with each other! They’ll love it!

Rating: (8+8+6+4) / 4 = 6.5/10.

Kyon Ki, so far I have only took up one song [though completed all the 4 parts], I now move on to analyze the others. Dil Keh Raha Hai. The tune of this song does resemble ’’Tu Hi Mera Pyaar Gori... Tu Hi Mera Pyaar’’ a great deal! The responsibility of making this song alive goes into the hands of Kunal Ganjawala who yet again does a great job, and stands up by his mesmerising vocals! A feeling of deja vu does come in, but overall, it’s quite a hummable one! There’a a remix version of the same too, and it’s a good one too! The beats are arranged keeping in mind the disco-frequenting and this days’ crowd!

Rating: (7+8) / 2 = 7.5/10.

Kyon Ki Sameer saab is the man responsible behind this album, the word ’’dil’’ must come in somewhere in the album! So here’s it for you! Dil Ke Badle Sanam is the best track in the whole album. Agreed, this is the nth romantic one that you may be hearing and it does have a feeling of a fairy tale stuff, but it works big time! I need not mention that Udit and Alka lend their vocals in an efficient manner to this one! Hear it to believe it. Expect no mouth-shutting stuff, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Rating: 8.5/10.

Kyon Ki we have had a ’Bardaasht’ in a soulful Humraaz, and some other rocking ones in each of Himesh’s albums, we have a song out here that goes like Jhatka Maare... Dikhte Hai Tare. In fact, this song reinforces the belief that India is progressing with each passing day. This was once proved in 1999, when Raveena Tandon did ’Akhiyon Se Goli Maare’. The lyrics here goes like - Arre re re re.. Goli maare tera DUPATTA!! Sounds weird, but the one’s a fun overall! I feel the song loses it’s charm somewhere in the antara but the music arrangements thereafter more than make up for it! A healthy track!

Rating: 8/10.

Kyon Ki, I have now taken into consideration all the other songs, I now arrive at the last one! A bit of info for you guys. This one was supposed to be the title track initially, as the film was named ’Rahein Naa Rahe Hum’. I’m talking about Rahen Naa Rahen Hum... Aa Jeele Ik Pal Mein Sau Janam. The over-repeated pair of Alka and Udit feature in this one too, but somehow, the routine lyrics and the not-so-great music doesn’t give them enough scope to rise beyond the expectations. It is appealing intermittently, not in entirety! An okay one this!

Rating: 6/10.

------------

Kyon Ki the album is over now, I have written this review for you, and now, I feel it’s my duty to present the overall assessment of the album. This one takes you back to the 1980’s and the early 1990’s. With 4 versions of the soothing title track [two of which were not necessary!], and other romantic tunes, the music lovers are sure to appreciate this one in some way or the other. It will not disappear from the music stores so soon, so you have sufficient time to decide whether or not to buy this album!

Overall Rating: 7/10.

------------

Kyon Ki I have done my job of reviewing the album of the film now, I will do one thing. I will write the necessary Pros and Cons thing, and press the ’Submit’ button! But what do I see here? This has already been submitted by the time you are reading this! Great!

Kyon Ki, the final one, you have read this review, do not refrain yourself from rating and commenting on the same!

An album to remember..kyunki..its gr8
Sep 20, 2005 10:53 AM3450 Views

They say the music industry is going through one of its most dull phases. they say the music has lost its touch and melody what it used to have in the 90's. well here is one hell of an album which reemphasizes the fact that the melody in hindi film industry is yet to fade away. thanx to the team of the salman starrar musical hit ''b>tere naam'' who come up yet another time with some soulful tracks.

b> kyunki .. is the name of the album which promises a lot starring salman, kareena, reema sen in the coming diwali and eid. directed by priyadarshan and the music composed by the in-form himesh reshammiya( aasiq banaya aapne fame), b> kyunki is expected to have a gr8 music all together. somehow they are successful in living up to the expectations.

five songs mainly appear in the album ( the tittle track has 4 versions) and there is a remixed version of one song.

the first to go is the title track b> kyunki..itna pyar tumko which somehow brings back the memory of b> tere naam. no wonder this track is going to be a certain hit in near future.the musical arrangements are of the first rate.the use of mouthorgan is sure to take you in early days in the nadeem-shravan era when these sort of music used to take place. It has 4 versions and three of them are sung by the evergreen pair of udit narayan and alka yagnik. another is sung by the newcomer radha and all the versions are worth listening. the singers have rendered their level best, specially udit narayan, who appears to b in top form yet again with his crisp vocals. alka yagnik is great as well in other versions. the 3rd version where radha gets a chance behind the mike sounds like alka in some places..the picturization is good and one version is also used as a background score. a gr8 track.

Then comes b> dil keh raha hain sung by kunal ganjawala which appears to be a peppy number and some soulful and groovy vocal from kunal takes it to another level.heavy in beats, the track boasts of useful lyrics and salman is sure to show some attitude in front of the camera for the song. Musical arrangements are good by himesh.there is a remixed version of this one which is not too different from the original one.

b>dil ke badle sanam is the next love song which appears to be an emotional one when it starts without vocals. But as soon as it gets upbeat and udit and alka behind the mike it turns out to be a feel good romantic track. A routine track. Lyrics are regular.it is the singers who gives it a touch of the experience and soulful singing which makes it worth listening. This song is picturized partially in train and in some beautiful places in Switzerland.

b> jhatka mare…goli mare tera dupatta is the next song by udit narayan. Kailash kher and chorus. This is a trademark dupatta song by himesh which somehow brings back memories of r.d.burman compositions for amitabh bachchan in some of his movies. No matter how similar they are this is a song where salman will do some crazy stuff and a lot of matkas will be there as suggested by the https://lyrics. The song is picturized in the mental hospital and after masses start watching the video on air they are gonna love it.the song starts with alaap by kailash kher and after that udit narayan takes the charge. Some credits need to be given to him as he still sounds so young and energetic despite being in his late 40's and the feel he provided is awesome. A total masala track.

The last track is b> aa jeele ek pal mein sau janam is sure to be one of the most melodious tracks of the year.though the music is a bit similar to rajesh roshan’s and uttam singh’s music in kaho na pyar hain and dil to pagal hain but it boasts of such high melody and a universal feel to it that those issues can be ignored. an extremely well arranged track by himesh and even better rendition by udit narayan and alka yagnik. Both the singers are at their ease. Udit narayan reemphasizes the fact that his best days are yet to come and why he is the best when echoing a man’s heart. he recreates the magic of dil to pagal hain in this song. Alka provides him with equal support and sounds like a 20 year old girl. this track needs to be picturized well and should be highly promoted on air.

So, one gets the feeling that there could have been 2 more songs in the album. But it is good to have 3 or four quality songs rather than having too many pieces of crap. The title track, dil keh raha hain and aa jeele ek pal mein have all what is takes to be a chartbuster. So what is needed now is to promote them well.himesh reshammiya has come with gr8 music yet another time with kyunki after his all India musical hit aashiq banaya aapne. The top leads in singing ( udit and alka) reassures that are the best in this era for romantic duets.

overall, a gr8 album and a must buy for the music lovers who support good quality music.

An interesting interrogation mark on the music...
Sep 19, 2005 11:36 PM5460 Views

The last time I penned a music review with Himesh Reshammiya as the music director was for 'Aitraaz' last year. Many were asking me how can you recommend such music? Much work went into composing better tunes since that movie. Not only he has been taken good care of his melody but the consistency was pretty acceptable. The main reason why he is a front line composer today is because of the Indian melody and Indian instruments present in his music. I have always supported music directors who never forget the treasures of Indian music. However, this doesn’t mean that I am appreciating Himesh’s music. Unprecedented music albums from his studio are spoiling everything. In Bollywood, producers rush to the most popular music directors. Delivering is more important than quality for them.

With Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the stars, expect Himesh to come up with original stock tunes for Salman as the latter gave him his first break in ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya’. Shreya Ghosal is taking a big leap in playback singing and Alka Yagnik’s voice is becoming so rare these days except for Himesh's music. Amazingly, these days, it’s him and only Nadeem-Shravan who are moulding Alka’s voice in the most mature way. Of course, Udit Narayan will have to lend his voice for such a project. This is how the album starts with ‘Kyon Ki Itna Pyar Tumko’. Starting on the same notes like in ‘Kaun Hain Woh’ from ‘Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet’ (Anand-Milind), it continues on a soft harmonica note accompanied by the piano in a slow version. It depicts a deja-vu start. The voice of Udit Narayan takes over and monopolises the whole song. The music arrangements are so rhythmic and somehow along the routine stuff surfaces back like an old black smelly shoe floating in a nice blue lagoon. I will be praising this song only for the melody but the freshness is not well packaged. Definitely, this one will help to keep the melody kicking because it comes in four versions!

Already expecting the same routine masala, I lent my ears to the next track ‘Dil Keh Raha Hain’. Is the harmonica trendy in this album? Flying high these days, Kunal Ganjawala does his usual style in this sensual track. Sticking my ears closely to the sound system, I am realizing that the magic of Kunal is not present in this song. Or maybe the magician or the musician; meaning Himesh, didn’t make a proper music use of this talent’s voice. Of course, he is doing his best at singing but the tune is defective. Compare with similar singing like in ‘Pehle Se’ in ‘Fareb’. I am surprised to find that the remix version is much better than this one. The technical side focused more on the techno beats and this will work. Not all songs of Kunal will be super-hits anyway?

Sameer comes again and dumps all this ‘dil’ and ‘sanam’ words in ‘Dil Ke Badle Sanam’. What a title? ‘Dil’ and ‘sanam’ in the title! Very creative! I am impressed! The start is methodic with the chorus and the dhak-dhak creating a chaos. When Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan are in charge of a song, there needs to be a musical sense somewhere. The piece transforms into a routine Himesh must-have tracks in all his albums. Should I give a good credit for continuity, nice flutes arrangements and a melodic pattern to this one? Of course yes.

The duo is back, now with Kailash Kher. Udit Narayan starts ‘Jhatka Maare’ with the dupatta words. A fast track with heavy beats and noises all the way till Alka Yagnik comes. Surely, this was composed for a situation. This one will work on screen with all the chorus and choreography but average tune and stale lyrics will shun listeners. ‘Aa Jeele Ik Pal Mein’ reminds us of the title song of ‘Kaho… Na Pyar Hain’. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik routinely sing the track without any enthusiasm. Music and lyrics are just average. Nothing to rave about except imagining, how Hrithik and Amisha would have danced on this one in 2005?

Five main tunes make this album. ‘Kyon Ki Itna Pyar Tumko’ has a simple tune and ‘Dil Ke Badle Sanam’ is another romantic melodious track which will appeal to the romantics. The rest is a repeat of past albums from this over-worked music director. Even Kunal couldn’t save his song but he has an audience and the track might pick up. Priyadarshan deserves better music anyway. Sameer didn’t show any ability to write more meaningful poetry after some hits lately. Udit and Alka get away with too many heavy numbers. Catchy and peppy numbers are a big miss here especially with a Salman and Kareena combination. Himesh Reshammiya is trying what with this album? The stylistic range is limited. The album starts well with his old style true Indian melody but he loses track half-way! There is a big interrogation mark on this album. A genuine ‘Kyon Ki’…

Melodious Sountrack

Priyadarshan always come up with nice average music his movie have decent music not a chartbuster but its much that keep the pace of the movie. Hulchul has Vidya Sagar and now Kyon Ki has Himesh Reshammiya as music director. Himesh previous and very recent record proves him a successful and very decent composer who always has given at least two to three songs as super hit in his albums. With these considerations in mind and with a PLUS reason of having Salman in the movie the soundtrack promises much. Himesh was introduced and promoted to Producers by Salman and Himesh has given one of his best Tere Naam for Salman so this shows his loyalty to Salman and for listeners this is a treat when Salman and Himesh come together see how this one proves.

Kyon Ki Itna Pyar 1 - 2 - 3 - 4

Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik & The Mouthorgan

No doubt it’s a soulful track. Wonderful arrangements showing full confidence of Himesh for the song and he want this song to look like a perfect one. Special mention is the mouthorgan played. Though all of whom have seen the trailers have heard that but with a flow in part 2 & 4 of this song it just get you. Beautiful composition with good lyrics and accompanying the singers using best part of their talent. The song is very well picturized too and worth seeing it and listening will become your habit soon as the album hit the stores. Himesh adopted style of Nadeem Shravan who adopted Laxmikant Pyarelal’s style who were (in start of their career) assistants to Kalyanji Anandji & Shankar Jaikishan. This all link shows the path of music style of music which is transferring from generations. The only thing lack in Himesh is that he is alone all the other mentioned are duos. But Himesh is blessed with a lot of technology which gives him a great opportunity to work in similar style. Kyon Ki a super melodious song and will be remembered for years. A complete team work.

Dil Keh Raha Hai

Kunal Ganjanwala

A soft track with a groovy vocal of Kunal Ganjanwala. The song has powerful lyrics it seems Sameer has worked a lot for this album. The song has flavour of Himesh’s earlier songs like O Jana from KMHJ. Still a melodious tune straight hit heart. Kunal sing it with passion and as you listen it get you on and Instant hit track. Its picturization is also too good Salman acting in different shades and giving message to Rimi Sen it looks nice and gives an impression that the movie will be interesting to watch.

A remix of Dil Keh Raha is also present in the album. Like Aashiq Banaya its only pace added to the song and it is a nice song in the end and attractive with the beats it has and one wont mind this song after listening the original of this song which is cool.

Dil Ke Badle Sanam

Udit & Alka

Another continuation of melodious numbers in the album. this time it’s a plain track but its not ordinary song. We will soon see this song in trailers. High lyrical value and some good feelings expressed by Alka and Udit. This song will also is in decent song category and has its own value if you listen it more. Himesh doesn’t tried anything different and stick to his style which is plus point of the song and the album too.

Jhatka Maare

Udit, Alka & Kailash Kher

Song is nice but its lyrics are not as cool as one expect after listening the above three songs. Goli Mare tera Dupatta. its not a decent from point of view of a nice lyricist. Himesh handled it well and song may even become a hit but my reservations about the lyrics will remain the same. Kailash has more to do the alaaps in the start and in between the songs Alka also spell the last stanza it’s actually Udit’s song. I think Udit tried to sing the song in a different style but cant able to keep the need of the song. Shaan or K K could be good choice for the song but now its sung by Udit so what I would say is that it’s a nice song with steep https://lyrics.

Aa Jeele Ik Pal Mein

Udit & Alka

Kaho Na Pyar Hai. It’s the first and last impression this song gives. Himesh tried to mold this song into his style and quite successful in his mission but still an ordinary listener will even able to know that this song is inspired. Udit & Alka sung that song too so there is much resemblance in between these songs. Lyrics are good and attract on first listening. Melody is the part which we never missed in the album so do here it is in needed form and will be loved by everyone soon it gets ears who listen it.

Verdict :

A Must Buy. All stuff you want to have in a soundtrack it is included in this album and Kyon Ki will be the song you will be humming for next month or so. It’s a nice decent movie soundtrack and this promises that the movie has much to deliver to us so this is among some of the movies which I would be waiting for.

Thanks

It’s Sana ( ( ( ( ( O ) ) ) ) )

Kyon Ki it is the most awaited movie of salman khan this year end.

Kyon Ki it is Priyadarshan's favourite malayalam movie.

Kyon Ki the great mohan lal smashed all records of acting in the original.

Kyon Ki salman khan already has 3 hits in a row this year

Kyon Ki it has heart throb Kareena with ever dashing Salman Khan.

Kyon Ki it's salman khan ceeeetiyaaaanthaaliyaan

I heard the songs on raaga.com and you can hear it too :p its free

Music: Himesh Reshamiyya

Lyrics: Sameer, Sanjay Chel (aa jeele ek pal mae sau janam)

Choreographer : Pony Verma

Cinematography: Thiru

Direction: Priyadarshan

Kyon Ki (all versions): There is sadness, there is beauty, there is happiness in this song. The lyrics are great and the music arrangements great. use of mouth organ and violin makes this song very interesting. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik sang the 3 versions of this song. 4th version is by a new singer from one of those singing competitions. All the 3 singers did a great job. 10/10

Dil keh raha hae: Kyon Ki its kunal ganjawala... hila kae rakh diya :D The vocals in this song are just unbelievable. Kunal has made full use of this oppurtunity and delivers a kind of song that is first for salman khan. music arrangements are great.. again you hear lot of mouth organ and violin... perrrrrrrfecto. lyrics are wow. Himesh rocks!! this song is going to be college campus craze. Foot tapping music and pony verma made salman dance like never before. 10/10

Jhatka Maare: :D :D :D Udit Narayan, kailash kher and Alka Yagnik... this song is on the lines of khaikae paan banaras wala (Don Don Don). The music is wicked.. you listen to it and you will know how it will be picturised. Himesh has used drums well in this song to give a tapori touch. ......... arrae rae rae rae rae goli maare tera dupatta. oo by the way this is Himesh's one more dupatta song. This is a fun song. 8/10

Aaa Jeele eak pal mae sau janam: When you listen to this song you keep thinking is it Himesh or Rajesh Roshan... there are certain beats that look copied from Rajesh Roshan's songs. good music arrangements.. expression of happiness is well projected through the language of music. Sanjay Chel should be patted on the back for his great https://lyrics. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik sang this song. 8/10 (high rating only because I liked the lyrics)

Dil ke badle sanam: A routine song by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Lyrics are good and music is just Nadeem Shravan/Jatin Lalit type. I did used the FF button when this song came. 5/10

overall a rocking album very high on melody... 8/10

Another Tere Naam??

Kyon Ki has been a long awaited album.and you're probably wondering how I got to listen to it so soon.well I went to a website that has ripped it from the CD.anyways on to the music.Speaking of music it's by Himesh Reshammiya who's running high on success from MPKK and Aashiq Banaya Aapne.Lyrics are by Himesh's fav Sameer. One expects another Tere Naam.I personally didn't like a lot of the songs from Tere Naam but it was a good soundtrack.

Kyon Ki (Part 1)-Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik

This is the love song of the movie and it's really good but doesn't live up to expectations.Udit Narayan and Alka are really good.Nobody else could've sang this song.

Dil Keh Raha Hai-Kunal

This is my personal fav of the CD.Kunal is absolutely perfect for this song.this is probably his best song i've heard.Salman looks great in the promos and perfects the dance moves.

Dil Ke Badle Sanam-Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik

I personally think this song is much better than Kyon Ki.Udit and Alka are much better in this song. Not a chartbuster though.

Jhatka Maare-Udit Narayan and Kailash Kher

Khailash starts out as he usually starts songs, with screaming but it works.Udit comes in after to take this song over and this one is sure to be a chartbuster.the music is awsome, the lyrics are catchy,it just works in tons of ways. This song is when Salman is in the mental institution.

Kyon Ki (Part 2)-Alka Yagnik

This song is comepletely different than the first part. And you may jump when Salman yells,''Maya!'' So be prepared to jump.anyways Alka was awsome in this song. Her fans will love her in this song.

Aa Jeele Ek Pal Mein-Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik

somebody else did the lyrics for this song and I can't tell you cuz the name isn't clear in the pic.anyways Udit and Alka are the same.Awsome.What else can you say about them. They are just brilliant.not a chartbuster again but this song will be appreciated.

Kyon Ki (Part 3)-Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik

Wow!they're in a lot of songs but the songs suit them. This song isn't exactly different from Part 1 but still good. It's more like Part 2 as a duet.

Dil Keh Raha Hai (Remix)-Kunal

This song was definately remixable but it could've been a lot better. No comment on it

Kyon Ki (Part 4)-Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik

No more comments on the Kyon Ki's.i think there's too many of them and the singers always do the same job.

All in all this soundtrack is definately hyped big time.this is a must buy.sales might not be as high as Tere Naam but I personally think it's a better CD.
