I don't even recommend this kotak securities, they charge us money more than other dmat a/c . and they don't tell us abt this charges before.first they will say all are free and later they will charge money .uh happy with kotak securities . best to go with other a/c's

As per our telephonic conversation we wish to inform you that the brokerage structure for your account is as follows:
A) BROKERAGE:
1) Cash Segment:-
Brokerage calculation for cash segment is QuantityPrice per sharebrokerage%, where rate of brokerage is as follows
Delivery: 0.3% of transaction value or Minimum 0.03 Paisa per share or Rs. 21 on both the sides(whichever is higher)
Intraday: 0.03% of transaction value or Minimum 0.03 Paisa per share or Rs. 21 on both the sides(whichever is higher)
However, at any point of time the amount will not exceed the exchange prescribed limit which is as under:
The maximum brokerage chargeable by a Trading Member in relation to trades effected in the securities admitted to dealings on the Capital Market segment of the Exchange shall be 2.5% of the contract price exclusive of statutory levies.
It is hereby clarified that where the sale / purchase value of a share is Rs.10/- or less, a maximum brokerage of 25 paisa per share may be collected.(Applicable to cash segment only)
Further, Brokerage will be applicable as per your brokerage slab. Further, the brokerage generated can be checked in the contract notes as well as in the ledger.

B) STT AND OTHER CHARGES:
Also, whenever, the transactions(Buy/Sell) are done in your account, the brokerage is applicable along with GST, Securities Transaction Tax and Other charges for the same.
Further, GST is charged at the rate of 18% of brokerage on Transaction charges.(from 1st July 2017 GST will be charged at 18%)
Securities Transaction Tax(STT) on the securities market transactions is as under:
STT @ 0.1% on all delivery(purchase and sale) trades in cash market.
STT @ 0.025% on sell leg of all non-delivery trades in the cash market(Equity Shares and units of Equity Oriented Funds)
STT @ 0.001% on sell leg of delivery trades in Equity Oriented Funds.
STT @ 0.01% on sell trades in the futures contracts
STT @ 0.05% on sell trades in the options contracts
STT @ 0.125% on buy trades in the options contracts when the option is exercised - GST, STT and other statutory charges are as per current rate.
Below is the rate of other charges:
Other Charges – Cash segment - 0.0236%
Other Charges – Equity Derivative segment(Futures) - 0.004897%
Other Charges – Equity Derivative segment(Options) - 0.062717%
Note: Stamp charges for Options is charging on Strike & premium Turnover.
We would like to clarify that other charges represents a consolidated charge towards providing various value-added services such as Trade Confirmation SMS, Electronic account access, Portfolio Tracker, access to research reports, market news SMS and towards defraying Member’s Statutory/Regulatory liability for the client’s trades. The BSDA account holder will be levied AMC as per regulatory norms i.e. for stock valuations upto Rs.50, 000/- NIL AMC and for valuations from Rs.50, 001 to Rs. 2, 00, 000/- yearly AMC of Rs.100/-, plus applicable taxes.
Also, the Depository Bill includes charges under various other account head such as Dematerialization, Rematerialization, Market Transactions(Sell), Off Market Transaction(Sell), Account Maintenance Charges, Pledge Charges, Invocation Of Pledge, Borrowing Of Securities, Custody Charges and Charges for Client master change intimation.
The Debit Transaction Charges for customers with Basic Services Demat Accounts(BSDA) If he Sells or Transfer any stocks from K-sec Demat account than Charges Applicable for shares outgoing would be Rs.44.50+ Rs.4.50(NSDL Charges) or 0.06%+ Rs.4.50(NSDL Charges) whichever is higher.
Note: + 18% GST
Thirdly, For any delay in aishwaryasingh23ment of outstanding dues in the account, interest @ 23% p.a(gst 18%) is charged on the debit balance.
The same is calculated on daily basis as below:
Amount of Debit Interest Rate applicable No. of days / 365
For Example: If you hold a debit of Rs. 50, 000 in your account for 3 days and the Rate of interest is 23%, the interest amount will be calculated as below:
(50, 000 23%) (3/365)= 94.5205
