They blocked account of my wife without any information, now they only want to talk to my wife which has no accounting knowledge, even I am joint account holder of the account they want to hear a female voice only.I wonder how they recognise the customer from her voice only ?

Very worst experience I am facing with the Kotak Mahindra team. I will never ever recommend anyone to have loan in Kotak mahindra Bank.


Team will be following us daily until taking the loan only, once after taking the loan and if any issue happens no one will respond properly.


Customer care number is useless it'll not get connected at all with regular calls.


Rules will change as they wanted, before taking loan some rules will be there & the same rules will get changed after taking loan.

I have never come across such worst service, I was surprised to see hidden charges and my sb zero balance account, my complete savings money just vanished without my notice... When asked customer service they say it is bank policy. Charges for weekly bal alert which I have not opted, annual debit card charges which other banker do not charge and charges for min balance not maintained......... Most important thing is that am not aware of this hidden charges being charged to my account without even single msg alert. These bank people do not even have courtesy to call the customer and educate about the charges. ULTIMATELY THEIR MOTIVE IS MONEY.... I will never recommend or suggest kotak bank to anyone for any kind of banking needs.

I am writing this review based on my continuous unsuccessful follow up and bitter experience with Kothak Mahindra bank, Mumbai, Hiranandani branch for mandate addition in NRI/NRO account.


They follow outdated methods to do mandate addition. The holder and mandate holder has to be present physically while signing the form and all supporting documents. Due to this even after 4 visits to the bank the desk executive did not accept the form always finding a new reason to reject the form. They never told complete requirement and information at once It is already 6 months since we took the form but the work is not completed yet.


They are always interested to promote new investment products just to earn extra buck. hear me out-when we showed interest in the investments suggested by them the executive and her seniors visited our place in less than 2 hrs notice. See the stark difference in their functioning. When I pointed out this difference in behaviour the desk executive was quite abusive and accusative.


Unless they train the desk executive to do the job assigned with utmost interest and dedication people like me will suffer.


At the time when all new age banks taking less than a day time to open a new bank account it is SO VERY FUNNY that KOTAK BANK does takes ages to add a mandate in an existing bank.

The Overdraft Loan facility from Kotak is worst and complicated.


They have purposefully designed a complicated format for their statement so that we cant understand anything out of it. Even the bank employees cant answer the queries.


Its like I am loosing huge amounts to this bank every month.

I can rate 0% rating for such pathetic service provided by the bank, the staff is just to play with the customers around them for no reason several times for small query , to.open 1 account this ppl made me visit 3 branches & at last a foolish person say's to visit the cyber and update the details , this is one of the worst worst worst ever bank the service wich have been come across , hopeless, u guys need some training or the bank will shut down very soon

I would hate to share below -1 rating to worst hoax pathetic kotak mahindra bank.


Due to health issue I was not able to pay due emi from 3months, collection and recovery agent call me and make me harassed and suggest to me and my husband to begging on road for pay emi dues. Also, saying to my husband that if you are not able to pay amount then ask your wife to do physical after getting money from that business pay your emi's. This is the way kotak bank give training to speak with consumer. And pass out DRA EXAM. they have right to speak anything with women.


They threatened me that if you did not remove the review we will serve legal notice to you because you are pointing out to our reputation.

If you guys have little courtesy so you have to take every concern solemnly.


And regrettably having one credit card of kotak bank it's my worst decision ever I used their card. I have all the recordings and screenshots agents messaged me on my personal number and share threatened message to me. Also, when I escalated the matter one of their superior said leave that thing tell me your concern and make payment.


Kotak Bank blocked my card without any prior notification I coordinated them past 3months for the same. But after a long period one of the employee coordinated with me his name was sameer he issued reversal letter for the closure and converted into EMI and it was helpful now when I made 2nd payment so he did not picking up my call. One lady used to picked up the call and said who is sameer when I said okay then transfer call to any superior she had a word with me "Everyone is going in the meeting I cannot transfer call to any superior. I am only available in kotak mahindra bank and she disconnected the call.


They lien my saving account and put huge other overdue and many more charges. No proper guidance ??,


I am not using word request here because of all misleading it is very short story they make me manipulate and giving mental abuse. I will write and submit proof to direct in the court.

Literally the worst experience I have had with this bank . The kotak team does not have internal communication between departments and the level of harrasment they do for the recovery of loan even after paying all the charge . I do not recommend anyone to take anything from this bank , not even savings account . Literally they are keeping goons not bankers in their company

Worst bank to my knowledge. First instance was 10 years back when without informing they bounced my good first check given to landlord that there is signature mismatch. They do this deliberately intentionally since I know there was no such thing and my number was written behind, they never called. I had occurred a fight with my landlord because of this. Second time after 10 years I got opened a 1 lac current account as told by one executive. Soon after opening my account they froze it fully and my funds got fully blocked for over a month. They only harass their customers, that's the reason why many close their accounts there and also that's why their chart in share market too much volatile and not stable. In simple words never trust kotak, it's a bank where in one or the other way you gonna get hurt, if associated with it.

Kotak offers me an smart emi card with yearly charges amount, and after taking yearly charges still I am unable to use Smart Emi card, and even I tried to connect customer care , all calls are chargeable, every sms cost is 3/- and even after sending 7 sms in a day no response received from them so I will suggest to you please don't make any relationship with Kotak , they are just taking money from sms and calls, please aware to everyone not to relationship with Kotak.


Their customer care person will not help you after listen your problem they only disconnected your call only . I am so frustrated from their services.and please share this to your friends and family to not to relationship with kotak

I recently opened an account at Kotak 811 Zero Account, and a few days later they frozen my account for not taking the welcome kit sent by them in the mail without giving any information. but I didn't get any welcome kits from those worst teams. Now that all of my money is in their possession, I am unable to conduct any transactions. If they sent a welcome kit, how can I know without getting any call or information? So I called customer care number of Kotak Bank, and they told me to visit your nearest branch, so I went there, but there was very rude staff and no one was ready to respond, even though they didn't know their rules either. I've had to wait for hours on hold, only to be met with unhelpful and often rude representatives. They will easily freeze accounts with unknown bullshit reasons. be aware of this worst bank

As a customer my experience with kotak mahindra bank is worst.


I switched to private sector from public sector bank for good and smooth services but unfortunately I got trapped by kotak 's 811 online account. Don't waste your time. Just go with sector leaders. Which are icici or hdfc.


Before going to kotak even think about going to any psb.

Now a days kotak Mahindra Bank promoting loans where ROI are more than 20% I keep getting calls where they forcing to take loan and saying as Roi is very reasonable and it is in diminish manner. We respect Kotak Mahindra Bank as our Indian Bank. Please don't behave such like a third class finance company. Give good decent offers we value more.
