My Experience with Kotak Mahindra Bank

I want to share my experience with Kotak Mahindra Bank to help others be informed about their customer service and policies. If you contact their customer care team for any queries, they speak rudely and show no respect for customers.


Recently, I had a terrible experience with Kotak. I purchased on Flipkart using my Kotak Credit Card for a total bill of ₹18, 297 or ₹18, 298. I then opted to convert this amount into EMI. After doing so, I received a call from a female employee at Kotak regarding my bill. She informed me about the EMI conversion, but when I told her that I had already converted my bill into EMI, she insisted that it was not yet converted. I told her to ignore it if it wasn’t converted, as I would pay the full amount instead.


Despite my clear instructions, I received multiple calls from Kotak representatives regarding the same issue. Each time, I informed them that I had already converted the bill or was willing to pay the full amount. However, Kotak still proceeded to convert my bill into EMI and changed my due amount. After this conversion, my full bill amount was shown as due, and there was no option to pay only the EMI amount. As a result, I had to pay the full amount.


Today, when I checked my statement, I noticed that there was no record of my March credit card bill. When I contacted Kotak’s customer care, they informed me that the EMI conversion could not be canceled and that they would continue to charge interest for the upcoming month. Despite having already paid the full amount, they had already applied interest, processing fees, and GST. When I questioned why they were applying additional charges, they simply stated that it was per Kotak's terms and conditions.


To escalate the issue, I spoke with a Kotak manager named Subham. However, they refused to provide their full name to customers, making it difficult to hold them accountable.


Due to this frustrating experience and the bank’s unethical practices, I have decided to close my Kotak Mahindra account.


I hope my experience helps others stay informed and cautious when dealing with Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Hi,


I had very bad experience with Kotak Mahindra collection team. If you are 100 percent sure that you never miss any emi, then you may go with the Kotak loan, if you miss any EMI then, you will get a continuous call and speak with arrogant words. and even they call at night and speak to you very improperly and this happened in my case as I missed one due. The Collection team is very terrible and heartless.

Please dont book FD with kotak bank they are doing scam. I broke a FD just 4 days prior to maturity and after visiting bank and on enquiry with bank official. At first they told me nothing will deducted your whole amount will be returned to you. But after breaking the FD of amount 2L I received in my savings account only 197241 . Such a pathetic and scamsters these bank ppl are. I urge don't invest in kotak please it's a fraud bank and they are doing scam on penalty

Very worst experience with Kotak Mahindra Bank. Their Executives and the Senior Experience do not have ettitquites to talk Senior Executive names-Amit Ghalot, Aditya Shokeen and Krishna Jadhav they both had given wrong commitments to me.Amit has disconnected my call in between of my conversations and used abusive words on call, and did nir answer my query, Aditya gave me wrong commitment, Krishna Jadhav was very rude on call with me, Kajal Goli she also gave the wrong commitments.I font why the hire thus kind of foolish people in their call center.Very pathetic service. Please give them proper training and teach them how treat their customers, because of us the bank is earning, bank us not giving us any free service.Please take a necessary action against these people.So in future they won't repeat this, and they will also not spoil the reputation of the bank.

It takes a week and I'm still waiting to hear why a small amount of money has not come to my account. I have provided all the necessary documents and I still have no answer from the Kasturinagar branch. I'd suggest people to look for another bank who's customer service is better. Really disappointed with kotak.

Sabse ghatiya bank, there services and loan rates are high and even if you late 2 or 3 day's their third party person will call you like anything.

I was sold kotak life time free credit card, after two months I got annual fee, I trusted them and paid with out noticing statement, next month when I noticed I spoke to manage about the annual fees, he said he will check, later told nothing can be done, I cancelled 2 policy sold to me and paid my spending dues done on the card, now they want to pay their process oriented fees, late fee, EMI for policy not notify the credit card during cancellation. GST charges for these virtual calculation. There are several calls from various recovery agency to pay these dues. Never buy kotak products, there are better banks.

They cheated me sanctioning the OD loan and without my knowledge they deducting money from OD account, even I haven't receiving any alerts. They provide false promises. I recommned not go with bank for any kind of loans
