Dear All,
I have been using Koryo rice cooker since January, 2013 or rather getting it repaired since the time I bought it. Initially when I was buying it I was very skeptical of the brand. Haven't heard of it before and I was proved damn right about it. Its really bad.
It came with a warranty of 2 years and till now I have got it repaired 3 times (its just been a year now). I have a warranty left for 11 more months so I guess I can get it repaired 4-5 times more. Jokes apart, I never expected it would create such an immense problem.
I bought the product from Mulund (Mumbai) and I stay in New Bombay, so everytime I have to travel 30 kms atleast to go the store from where I bought it. Its highly annoying and the best part, as a bachelor I hardly use the cooker. The occasional use once in a while damages the coil or whatsoever.
Recently, after getting very irritated about the fact that I have to get it repaired for the fourth time, I called customer care and asked them to provide me for home service to get it repaired. They were un-cooperative, after several minutes of putting the call on hold, they informed that I will have to take it to the store I bought from or the service center in Malad (mumbai) which is more than 50kms from where I stay.
Its like if I buy the product from Mumbai and I live in some other city entirely I have to travel all the way to Mumbai to get it repaired. How very unreasonable! They said they cannot provide home service as it doesn't cover in their stupid rules.
I have not got any help in the matter so far even after repeated calls from my end. I wish I had been little more sensible at the time of buying the cooker and gone for the good brands (Prestige or Bajaj) like how my friends did.
I request everyone. DO NOT BUY THIS HORRIBLE PRODUCT (Though it may seem a cheaper option) AGAIN I MENTION THE WORST SERVICE EVER.
I have a good frame of mind to take this issue forward to consumer court. Maybe I will get some help from there and some action could be taken henceforth.
- Thank You! We appreciate your effort.
