Kodak Kroma 35 Reviews

Kodak KZ 25

I bought this camera because of its simplicity, its very easy to operate, basically just a point and shoot camera, its made in India (Bangalore) and comes with a 2 year warranty so servicing or spares is not a big issue. It was recommended by a photographer friend of mine when I told him my requirement. I purchased it for Rs 1250/- and got a set of cells & a Kodak 24 snaps film free with it.

It comes only in one colour that is silver.

Colour reproduction is great, the photographs we took are pretty clear, the camera itself is very light and comes in a neat black pouch.

Its has a auto forward and auto rewind feature, which make picture taking a button less operation.

It features a failure proof film loading mechanism, which makes film loading a child's play, you just need to slide the film in the slot and simply turn the camera on, the film automatically advances to the first frame.

All time flash to ensures perfect pictures in all light conditions. Its auto power shut off feature saves battery power.

Its a cool camera for non professional use and with a 2 year warranty its good value for money.

Choose the best, leave the rest...

Ya, the philosophy behind photography is simple. Choose the best portions in the scene and leave the rest. First you need to apply on the camera selection itself. I purchased Kodak Chroma long back in 1997 in Rs. 1600/- but still the results are better than any new camera or the costliest ones. The clarity, sharpness, colors are superb. The problems attached with automatic loading and zooming are not there in the manual one and so good relief from tensions. Only tensions left are those of your girl friends who keep on forcing you to take one more time (their snaps). So have one and get straight into the act...

While its just a manual camera, that is actually the greatest feature of the Kodak Kroma.

Cameras for amateurs work best when they are manual, without much features easy to use, easy to load, less operating cost (no fancy Ni-Cd batteries needed) etc.

Kodak Kroma gives excellent results, can be operated by kids too. The result I must say is breathtaking, and comparable to some of the best zoom, auto cameras.

Even the in-built flash is quite effective for indoor photography. Features like 100, 200, 400 ASA adjustment helps load special rolls and enables capturing pictures in low light and moving pictures too.
