THERE ARE BETTER COLLEGE THAN KCC, KCC IS REAL SIT, THEY'LL EVEN TREAT YOU LIKE SIT AND BOYS HAVE NO VOICE IN KCC, IF A GIRL GOES AND TELL TO THE MANAGEMENT THAT YOU HARASSED HER, EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT GIRL STILL YOU'LL BE THROWN OUT OF THE COLLEGE EVEN IF YOU'RE INNOCENT STILL NO USE.

THE WORST COLLEGES EVER. ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE MADE BY THE FACULTIES AND STUDENTS OF KCC WITH FAKE ACCOUNTS AND THEY FORCED ME TO BE APART OF IT. I REFUSED AND THEY DID LIKE IT SINCE THAT DAY THEY WERE AGAINST ME. SO THEY DIDN'T TELL ME ANYTHING. THEY USED TO PUT ME IN UNNECESSARY TROUBLES WHICH EVEN I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW. I HAVE ALL THE PROOFS OF THE FAKE THINGS THEY DO.

ONLY THING GOOD ABOUT KCC IS THE WEATHER, THE DELUXE ROOM, AT NIGHT ALOT OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCE GHOST SPIRITS RIGHT IS FRONT OF THEIR EYES. THERES ALOT OF THINGS GOING ON IN KCC. MR. SAMUEL ABRAHAM. WHEN WE SPOKE TO HIM POLITELY HE WAS SCREAM AT US. EDUCATED PEOPLE DON'T SHOUT AND POINT THE GUN AT STUDENTS. THINK TWICE OR THRICE BEFORE YOU TAKE ADMISSION IN KCC. THEY'LL CHEAT EVENTUALLY AND MAKE IT LIKE ITS YOUR FAULT.

SAFETY OF STUDENT IS ZERO. AT NIGHT YOU'LL SEE A LOT OF BISONS IF ANYONE OF THEM COMES AT YOU AND PIERCE YOU WITH THAT HORN, KCC WILL NEVER TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITIES. AND EVEN IF THE COLLEGE BUS IS FULL TIPS AND FALL FROM A THE MOUNTAINS. STILL KCC WONT TAKE ANY BLAMES. WELL, ALL THESE HAVE HAPPENED EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT.

THEY KICKED ME OUT FOR REASON THAT I WAS NOT EVEN INVOLVED, ALL I DID IS I WENT TO TAKE MY BOTTLE AND THESE PEOPLE CAUGHT ME AND TOLD ME THAT IM DRINKING ALCOHOL, I HAD A BLUE BOTTLE FILLED WITH AQUAFINA WATER.THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL IT TO MY FACE THAT IM DRINKING ALCOHOL, PEOPLE WHO STOOD FOR RIGHT THINGS WERE DISMISSED FROM THE COLLEGE SAYING THAT WE HAVE DISRESPECTED THE COLLEGE FACULTIES AND ABUSED/ BULLIED A BUNCH OF STUDENTS.

Nothing good about the college

I am Alumni and was treated very well during the day of admission and after that found nothing good in the college. No teachers here are experienced and we need to teach them spoken English. Very low quality faculty and poor management. Very boring and a isolated village is where the college is situated. Don't get fooled by the promises they make on the first day. Stay out of KCC!

After my UG, I Joined KCC to do my Post Graduation. This was such a different environment to me.

My first challenge was, to cope up with the language.? Chairman and the faculties did not have the slightest leniency in allowing us to speak in anything but English. So?I took the easy route of being silent.

But things started changing within me. The introvert inside me slowly started to get out of the comfort zone. I came across the most special people and experiences in my life that my total world turned around. In a ?short span of 2 years, my life was redefined.?

The course I took, Media Communication and management(MCM), was so unique in every sense. We did not realise where we were heading to.

The years, 2000 and 2001 were the emerging years in terms of Electronic Media, and it took another couple of years for the digital and social media to be in limelight. Our course was actually ahead of time and we landed out just in time of the media boom

I really appreciate the management for having the vision to design such a daring curriculum. The effort was taken especially in those times when the visual media was not much popular as it is now. And, there were not many trained experts around, in the industry

When I look back at our Syllabus in a professional’s point, it was really a futuristic syllabus that contributed in our jobs. We covered a wide spectrum of categories in our course and went out fully equipped.

The course browsed us through real life media houses. Lots of practical exposure were given to us. and I should say that, these opportunities were facilitated by the Chairman himself.

You might have reached here by chance. But there is always a divine purpose. Whatever complaints and shortcomings you have. Take the positives out of every situation. KCC has everything to give. Whoever had taken in the right sense has reached great heights. You can take each one of us as examples. Whoever took it in the wrong has always been in the wrong places. Be it spiritually, professionally, or relationships wise I mean in their personal life.

In all other institutions you can achieve great careers and heights in life. But KCC offers something extra that no one else can offer.

And I am proud to be a KCC'ian.

A transperent review - Authentic

It is a college with many ambitious dreams. not just for itself but for the students. their motto'Born to Lead' will be induced into the heart beat of every individual(both students and faculty alike) associated with the college.

I am delighted to see the careers of the those who entered the portals as confiding individuals but shaping into confident persons. The chrysalis-ing experience of the students is remarkable.

The college believes in being conventional. even when received with criticism. it holds on to its roots. But all in the best interest in the careers of students.

The programs offered at the college are innovative, path-breaking and up-to-the-industry. Facilities are decent and the opportunities to develop are innumerable. Intellectual and Cultural pursuits are weighed in par.

A holistic development is what the institution aims for.

I would recommend all my readers this institution, if you want your wards to be a Leader. "Born to Lead"

Nice food. you will get nice food to have...

YOu will get nice food to have and you can enjoy your food well. Its not like other colleges and life there is not that much funny but still good. Those who like to learn this is the good college.

Nice atmosphere, cold . Generally the place is also good. Here very strict management and teachers. So you cannot allowed to drink inside the college and hostel. You need to stay at college hostel so you will be very much controlled by the management.

I would strongly urge anyone considering studying at KCC to read my review. I will try to be as fair as possible and give my readers all the little details that this institution inadvertently fails to mention to prospective students.

KCC, as it is popularly called, is situated  about 11 kilometers from Kodaikanal - down the highway to the plains and then cuts into a narrow, almost  dirt road to the village of prakasapuram where the college is situated. Access there is limited and the only forms of transport are the college bus or the local minivans and jeeps that  ply on a very irregular basis.

*   Remember that this is a review not an advertisment, so I wont be talking about the fee structure(which is actually quite high) or the programmes offered. Just the quality of the institution based on first hand experience.

Infrastructure*

There is a small library(mostly donated books), a computer lab with a dial up connection(generally off a reliance phone - additional charges) and basic classrooms. The central structure, the Abraham Hall, is the only hall, and is generally used for the morning assembly and the student seminars in the evening. Also present are a small canteen(terrible food - high prices - infamously small potions) and the cafeteria where meals are served.

There is a small sports room which has equipment on a very irratic basis - a basketball court and a squash/ racquetball court.

Residential facilities*

The college provides single rooms for 3 - 4  students to share in 2 separate locations - on campus and off campus(the paradise inn). Water and electricity are major problems in both these locations and the on campus accomodations are not maintained as often as they should be, resulting in dangerous roof leaks near wiring during the monsoon. No internet, college charges additional fees for water heaters, computers and mobile phone chargers. Bedding is not provided. No cleaning staff for the rooms.

*Food

*The food is south indian and three meals are served in a day alongwith tea at 11am and 4 pm. The hygiene is atrocious so be prepared to play host to cats and flies.

Things I have found in my food:

a) Vegetable waste

b) a slug

c) weevils

d) wood.

Drinking water is funnelled through an old water purifier(havent seen in changed in 3 years). If you have stomach issues you might consider eating 2 meals at the canteen which is slighly more hygenic but very expensive for a college students budget. A good meal might cost up to Rs. 100 a person.

*Teaching Staff

* Young, inexperienced staff sourced from the areas around the dindigul district is what mainly comprises the staff body. There are 2 Brits - the chaplain and the vice - principal. The courses are by-the-book and lectures consist of someone reading from a book. At my time of graduating there was only one PhD lecturer and I believe her specialization was Tamil literature. The head of departments are equally inadequate with little actual teaching experience.

There are many other important issues that I need to cover as in health, safety, quality of the student body, additional hidden costs, religious environment, alumni network and enforcement of discipline. I will disclose this information on a need - to - know basis depending on the number of responses this article gets.
