Secunderabad India
The best plessure in Air
Sep 12, 2007 10:13 PM 1640 Views

I have flown KF airines from Mumbai to Hyderabad and back its an amazing aricraft esp the A321, The Attendants are too good to resist seating comes with a screen in fromt of you with 7 channels, one channel shows the position altitude and the speed of the aircraft. You get an option to choose either Veg or Non-veg snacks. also give a drink (juice) after seating no hassels in checking the guy comes near you (even if you have just arrived the airport) checks you in immediately, takes care of your luggage, flight leaves almost on time,

Over all the best experience you can get. makes you feel the king of the skies. Hey and you get a complimentary earphones and a KF pen too, the only thing that wend bad when coming from Mumbai to Hyd was that the Pilot had missed the landing first time and had to circle and land again

A series of lifts and downs made some of the passengers Puke (one kid right next to me) well every thign was taken care of til the next flight was to take off

King of Good Times

I do not have much experience with flying. I have flown only  6 times - 3 with King Fisher, and 1 each with Deccan, Go air and Indian. All my flights have been in the Cochin-Mumbai sectors. I would simply rate King Fisher the best among the lot. It is very tough to like any other airline once you have travelled with King Fisher. Other services pale before the King.

The pleasant services start from the moment you land at the airport - There would King Fisher personnel standing outside the terminal to guide you thru every thing. You can see efficiency in every aspect from the check-in counters till the time you board the aircarft. The air-hostesses, as every one know, are cute and smart looking.

Food is great. I like the plane-map tracker very much. It is actually good value for money, though you might be spending 125 - 150%  of what you spend on Deccan and Go air tickets. Whatever Mr. Vijay Mallya has started, he has started with a bang!

Will never fly with Kingfisher
Aug 27, 2007 09:31 PM 3047 Views

I flew with Kingfisher last July for the first and the last time. Due to communication problems I missed my Jet airways flight from delhi to pune and had to take the next available flight.

After missing my flight I ot a refund voucher from the Jet staff with a bit of trouble but that was not that bad. They assisted me by calling Kingfisher and checking the pricing and booking a seat for me over the phone. at that time I was told by that the ticket will cost me 6800/- but I will have to come to the airport to get the ticket.

Finally I went from one terminal to the other terminal to get the tickets and board my flight to pune.  After reaching the airport I was informed that the ticket will now cost me 7400/- instead of 6800/ and top of that they dont accept debit cards. So I told them that I am getting cash from the ATM.

So went inside the terminal by taking an entry ticket and got cash. Now after reaching the ticket counter same ticket was costing 9400/- Ihad to fight with them and get to a manager to get the ticket at same price.

Finally I got a manual ticket and the booking clerk assigned me a seat from her systems. The seat no assigne to me was 2A since I had asked for front seat. Now I proceeded for checking to get rid of my baggage and the checkin clerk informed me that they have not yet begun the checkin for the pune flight and I will have to wait. Also she was not able to find the seat that was assigned to me. I again had to speak to a manager to get a boarding card issued which again was done manually i.e. no computer involved.

After this I spoke to the thier duty manager who colsoled me and told that these some pf the teething problems since they are a new airline and assured me that I will have the most plesant flight.

Now on borading the flight I saw that someone else was sitting on my seat since it was allocated to someone else as well. upon asking for the duty manager I was deined for that and had to sit in a non reclining.

Worst flying experience I have ever had.

Mumbai India
Customer Service at its Best
Aug 27, 2007 07:39 PM 1635 Views

I regard myself as a strong critic of industry service levels. So it is a rare moment when I appreciate existing services. Kingfisher airline is built on some very robust fundamentals of service quality which translates into

1) Intelligent design and selection of variable customers value during a flight: Personalised Inflight entertainment, prompt service for any generic requests to flight staff

2) Seating Space: The Kingfisher Airlines operate with narrow body aircrafts which have been fitted with 3 seats instead of 2. This reduces space( read one armrest) but it is hardly something that matters especially when most of the domestic flights rarely exceed 2 - 3 hours at a stretch.

3) Check in Counters: You are greeted by smiling staff who are concise and precise with information and instructions. Ground staff and all staff appear to be well enpowered to protect/serve the interests of a Customer.Hence one rarely comes accross a curt reply like' Its not in the policy" for reasonable requests at their counters.Off course one can only assess the true quality of customer service when faced with an unfavourable situation( missed flight, arrival without carrying a ticket, forgotten PNR no etc)

4) Punctuality:Generally robust on this committment. as I find most of my office collegues book Kingfisher if they have that oh- so important meeting to catch with timings lined up neck to neck. But on one of my flight to Chennai, I landed a good 45 minutes late. So I cannot really decide if it was a one off occurence or regular feature. So I think I can afford them this benefit of doubt till proved otherwise

Besides they were the first to use of dynamic revenue optimisation models fo ticket reservation which alters prices to increase or change demand for flight seats

Over all, they have proved that good service need not be at exhorbitant costs. This is a relief after we have faced arrogant airhostess & poor service levels of PSU players.Let me hope that they can push the envelope of excellence ahead forcing other industry players to catch up or beat them. This way the entire industry matures and improves!

Truly the King!
Aug 22, 2007 10:11 PM 3953 Views

Fly Kingfisher and I can bet, you will have a tough time liking any of the other domestic carriers. I have flown Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai, Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai, Mumbai-Nagpur and Mumbai-Kolkata on the King. And

trust me, it has been a truly enjoyable, relaxing and pleasurable experience. I can say that with conviction because I have also flown Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Jet Lite and other low cost flights like Indigo, Spicejet and Deccan.

I will not discuss the low-cost flights here at all but Indian Airlines and Jet have more than once given me chance to complain. The ground service, in-flight food, in-flight staff etc have many a times given

reason to be dissatisfied and disappointed.

However, with Kingfisher I have almost never had any complaints. Maybe Vijay Mallaya is a strict boss- his staff cater to every little whim of passengers. They take special care when kids are around. My daughter

simply loves Kingfisher. The in-flight crew are the most well-behaved, attentive and eager to please, all the time treating you like royalty. (they are also quite handsome!)

The coach from the terminal to the aircraft is the best amongst the coaches/buses. The air-conditioning in some of the coaches in Jet/ Indian Airlines are defunct. The aircraft looks spacious, the upholstry

is very chic, the uniform of the inflight cabin crew is sexy and many appreciative male glances can vouch for that!

The food is fresh and interesting. Jet/ indian airlines have more than once served stale (I swear and stinking even) and boring food. Kingfisher flights are almost always on time. Once while flying frm

Mumbai to Nagpur the flight was delayed and we were stuck at the lounge for around 3-4 hours.

The ground staff ensured that we got unlimited food, and they booked road travel on reaching Nagpur. There was free drop-home facility etc etc.  The in-flight gifts are something we hve always loved. My kid had got a

mini kingfisher airplane the first time we travelled. She has a kingfisher watch, a kingfisher table clock and many other little knicknacks frm Kingfisher. Of course everyone gets a pen, a cute pouch

and ear phones etc.

Jet has had the same goody bad for kids, since the past three years. My six-year-old daughter is bored of the bag with colourpencils, little book etc and doesn't want to travel Jet anymore. I have always travelled economy and have always wondered 'if this is what I get in economy class, I wonder what all Kingfisher does, for the first

class travellers...'

Happy flying with the King!

Kingfisher flies high not that high for me
Aug 21, 2007 09:03 AM 2033 Views

Well I just thought I could pen a few lines of my experience with Kingfisher.I had booked my tickets on line for the 15th  of May,  the fight was at  9.30 am  but later I was informed that my fight would take-off only around 11.30 am.  I was truly disappointed.

As my hotel in Munnar was already booked and I felt that by reaching Munnar at around 5.p.m I would loose my entire day.   I spoke to the concerned person that we should be compensated, but the lady couldn't do much as she informed me that the rescheduling was done by the Airline.

The hospitality   was good.  Except that  when I had to disembark at my destination it is the practice of the staff to give gifts to the kids on board.  Well my kids did not get the gift, reason best known to them.  Whereas the other kids did get them.

Even though they were much bigger in age.  My kids were truly disappointed.  I wish  they do not repeat this next time, as kids do feel hurt., and we as parents cannot reason out with them.

A fantastic travel experience
Aug 20, 2007 04:05 PM 1802 Views

The whole experience starts when you arrive at the airport. There are attendants at ahnd who whisk away your bags, send them through the xray machines and bring them to the check-in desks. I was checking in my golf bag once and the attendant packed the bag with corrugated cardboard and taped it up fully to "comply" with the requirement of the security personnel.

Check in is very prompt, courteous and quick. Being a Silver member, I have access to the Kingfisher Lounge - the one in Bangalore is fantastic and rivals some of the best in the world. Flights have been quite punctual and I am hooked on to Kingfisher flights now.

The service on board is great - again compares with the best in the world. Flight attendants help out with any requests that you have. Kingfisher Red seems to have compromised on the quality of the snacks they serve but regular Kingfisher flights have nice food. Overall it is a great travel experience with Kingfisher - I recommend it to everybody I know.

An airline with an experience.
Aug 12, 2007 09:06 AM 1686 Views

My travel in Kingfisher Airline on the Mumbai - Kolkatta sector was memorable.  The airline is majestic and truly caters to a royale taste even while you travel in the Economy Class.  The decor is excellent, clean and well perfumed.  The choice of staff both on the flight and ground is marvellous and I have always found them to be very cooperative, courteous, soft spoken and above all well informed.

What I liked the most is that personnel from Kingfisher help you carry your luggage right from the door step and help you weigh the baggage and check in formalities.  It makes one feel that you get the worth of your money.  The cuisine is excellent and sufficient.  Too much or too little would often generate an uncomfortable feeling but the one served on Kingfisher flight is just right.

The inflight staff are not just gorgeous but helpful too.  They are beauty with brains.....I should say. Besides they have a soft heart too which helps care for the children and senior citizens.  Kingfisher has an excellent and well maintained fleet and reflects the tastes of the Management.

The introductory Chairman's address comes just at the right moment as the flight prepares for a takeoff and is very apt.  His reference of people travelling as "very special guests" and instructions to his staff of taking personal care to each one of them is reassuring of their quality service.  Fantastic.

I would love to travel Kingfisher again and again and look forward to their international flights as and when introduced.  All credit goes to the Chairman, Kingfisher Airlines and their staff for making each of our travel experience memorable.

Give me (more) Red!!!

I have flown on Kingfisher Airlines a couple of time before and when I was in Delhi on an Official trip, I was delighted to know that I will be flying Kingfisher on the return journey to Chennai.  (Have flown on Indian Airlines from Chennai. have written a separate review on them -)) ).

To start with, Delhi traffic is perhaps one of the worst traffic in India. I used to curse Bangalore for its traffic woes, but Delhi is much worse.

Having known that we took a taxi from our guest house at 6PM for a flight at 8.55 PM. It was still not enough for us to reach the airport ( ~ 20 kms) in time. We reached at 8.35 and the KF executive at the check-in counter informed that it was already time and we cannot board the Aircraft.

We told him of the traffic woes.  He checked with the check in counter staff and found that the incoming flight is delayed by 10 min. Then he turned back to us saying since the flight was late, we can board it.  Point to be noted here is any delay from their side is fine but a 5 min delay from our side is not acceptable. Amazing logic.

Quite different from Indian Airlines,  the reception inside the plane was good. We were greeted with  bright and young smiling faces.  The aircraft was clean and seat space was just fine. In fact both KF and IA had the same Airbus 320.

We were served a welcome drink (read Juice) which was good. More than anything, with smiling faces around you too get into the same mood and that’s equally good.  We were given the Kit containing a Pen, some toffees, wet tissues and a head phone. We were then provided with the menu of the food which I thought was good.

Every seat has a small TV screen and a head phone point and you can choose between your audio and video choices. When I flew last time with KF in Aug 2006, I had a choice of 6 video channels and 3 to 4 audio channels.  But this time, only three video channels were available.

We were asked for the choice of food and when we (two of us) preferred Veg.  The person next to me was served non Veg.  To our surprise we weren't served any food. While the others were being served, we weren't. After a good 20 min or so, the air hostesses came to us and asked why were we not having anything?  After we informed that we weren't served, she immediately apologized and arranged for it.

When my friend was served coffee, the quantity of the black coffee that the airhostess had could fill only half his cup. She apologized and said she will serve the coffee again which she promptly did.Unlike other airlines, what I like about King Fisher is the way they treat guests (as they call it for Customers).  The take off and landing my not be as smooth as IA, but the in-flight entertainment and courtesy is very good.

When there was a little wobble mid way, there came an announcement informing the passengers that the outside temperature was bad and they are trying to negotiate it. An announcement doesn't do anything, but at least it gives you a feeling that these guys have your safety in mind. This care was certainly missing in IA.We finally landed at Chennai Airport at 11:45. It was not a very smooth landing though, but I certainly thought that when I fly next time I will opt of KF simply because they “fly the good time"!

Hats off to Vijay Mallaya for bringing in this revolution in the Air space Industry.

The Best...:)

Experience was good. Or should I say best among all the airlines I have traveled till date (including few International and US intercontinental airlines) and this airline gives a ear to what you say and service is too good.

I traveled twice in this airline. Once from Hyderabad to chennai and another time from Hyderabad to New delhi.

Here is detailed rating of each of the feature:

Online booking - simple and easy.  Net booking is a boon.

Boarding Pass counter - clean and easily spot able, because of all red color.

Service at counter - good. As usual, welcome with a smile on face.

Extra luggage charges - I had 8 kg extra weight and I was not charged anything. So what should I say. Simply great!!

Schedule - On time. This is not usual in Indian context where opther airlines normally are always late by few minutes to hours. Staff on board - good, beautiful and very helping.

food and entertainment - very good. I liked food very much on board. It was great. You have options for entertainment.

landing n takeoff - smooth(actually a lot depends on weather)

Air Planes - New. Kingfisher is having nearly all (as I remember) new airplanes, as compared to other companies operating in India.

overall experience - great.

I will travel mostly with this airline in future.

Good airlines
Jul 15, 2007 11:17 PM 2084 Views

It is a real pleasure to travel by Kingfisher airlines. The air hostesses are cute, the seats are comfortable and most of all it is the welcoming speech by Vijay mallya that really impresses.

Recently I travelled buy this airline from Mumbai to Hyderabad and back in one single day and I was very pleased with this airlines.

The take off and the landing were perfect, the food was good, and the flight was smooth and right on time. There was a slight delay on the return flight but that was profusely apologised and all travellers were happy and there was not a single conmplaint.

Only thing was that there was a slight problem while checking in. The counters were not very clear as they were tucked in a corner and [people at the gate were not always uptodate with the number of the check in counter. Not the airlines fault, of course.

The Most Luxurious Airline of India
Jul 15, 2007 03:53 PM 2602 Views

Believe me, Kingfisher airline is truly a luxurious airlines. The service here is excellent and I am observing it from last two to three years. Mr. Vijay Mallya has to be credited for creating a new luxurious full service airlines and this was needed in India. It might not be a popular choice for lower middle class or the regular middle class but it is definitely targeted towards the Upper class.

And these are the reasons why Kingfisher airline is soon to be the number one aviation company in India. It will also venture in international market eventually seeing the growth and plans of the company.

The only drawback I looking here is price. To be an expensive brand is good but not over it, Kingfisher is little above the expensive I believe. A good price setting can improve the customer base and help them in further growth. And it would also improve the competence with the other leading airlines like Jet Airways.

Following are the some recognitions achieved by the airline in recent times:

  1. Brand Leadership Award

  2. India's No.1 Airline in costumer satisfaction By Business World

  3. Best new Airline of the year by CAPA in Asia - Pasific & Middle East Asia region.

  4. Service Excellence for new airline by Skytrax.

  5. Economic times Avaya award 2006 in custmer Response

  6. Best new Domestic airline for excellent service and cuisine By PATWA

  7. Best airline and India's favorite career in servey of IMB for the times of India

  8. Ranked third in the servey od india's most successful Brand Luanched in 2005 by Business Standard.

  9. Buzziest Brand of 2005 by top ten buzziestbrand of 2005 and 2006.

Vijay malya "THE LEADER OF AVIATION INDUSTRY"
Jul 10, 2007 04:15 PM 2747 Views

Hope you read my reviews regularly today I am writing my opinion about kingfisher airlines from last three  times I am flying with kingfisher from delhi to ahmedabad on this sector ahd-del-ahd I am frequent flier and approx all the airlines I have tried but in all these I feel kingfisher is the best one among all airlines even grom jet airlines too it is some costly but after experiencing it you feel its  a Worth to spend little more staff is so cooperative even you left the auto on airport their persons asks that if you are flying with kingfisher they arrange your luggage on trolley and come with you up to the ticket counter this is the only airline where ticket issuer asks about your sitting preference before issuing the ticket all the the time I choose window seat and they arrange it staff persons all young smart and dynamic and more cooperative than any other airline if your flight is more late than half an hour they arrange a tea  coffee arrange ment for you this is common as other air lines does except low cost like air deccan, spicejet or goair

The colour of this airlines attract everybody the red clothed staff is very attractive and cooperative all the air crafts are new and well equipped with independent tv screens in front of seats you can enjoy 10 different channels while flying jet air is also following because they are loosing customers due to that but in India I saw first time this facility in kingfisher after each and every minute it displays on the screen that what is speed of aeroplane how long is your destination the temperature outside etc they provide a kit of headphone chocolates in very nice pouch of kingfisher and we can keep it forever if we want the food served inside is of best quality I enjoyed both veg and nonveg

Not even a single point I search negative in this airline except its some high fares but I write in advance its worth to spend some more one thing I wants to tell you don't buy tickets directly from their website try "make my trip" travel guru" or yatra.com to purchase your tickets because they can can provide at least 500 rs lesser than their direct website I have a wonder full experience with this airline please share your comments if their is anything wrong\

Delhi India
Best Airline of India!! Undoubtedly...
Jun 30, 2007 08:14 PM 1745 Views

I am a regular traveller as my job is one which requires me to travel a lot..

I really prefer having my ticket booked on this airline because of the following reasons..

  1. The Seating space in the Airbus aircrafts esp. in Kingfisher is excellent. (So one doesn't feel stuck up even if he's sitting in the middle seat)

  2. The Inflight Entertainment provided esp. Star one while flying is excellent and doesnt let u get bored while the plane is revolving above Delhi airport esp. during night hours

  3. The Service by the Flight attendants is excellent and crisp. (A word of mention from my last trip was that My Grandfather who was travelling with me and while returning home from Ahmedabad, he suddenly started coughing after drinking the welcome juice, the attendant immediately stopped the distribution to others and rushed to get my grandpa water even before we had asked for it showing her courteousness and warmth)

  4. The meals are excellent and I esp love their desserts.

  5. The porters helping you with the luggage is again a very good service esp. good for Aged people.

So I find the Airline as my Favourite one and if the flight timings and the price suit me I tend to travel with KINGFISHER only..! Hope u guys find it useful..

Learn to Steal Customers with KingFisher Airlines
Jun 30, 2007 02:58 PM 3491 Views

If you want to learn how to steal customers from your competitors, you should learn it from Kingfisher Airlines. My mom had told me, if your competitors draw a line, draw a line bigger than theirs to show them you are big rather than trying to erase their line. This is what exactly Kingfisher has done.

I had been an ardent fan of Jet Airways till I flew with Kingfisher. I loved flying with Jet and this time I could have taken Jet again from Indore to Mumbai but the only reason I took Kingfisher was my son wanted to go in a RED plane than a BLUE plane. So to keep his wishes, I had booked a RED plane for journey to Mumbai. The flight was late by 45 minutes. (you cant really blame Kingfisher, its monsoons and you know how mumbai can be in monsoons...the flight has not taken off from Mumbai due to weather). Fine..no problems there.

The girl at the check-in counter had been helpful already so I was in a good mood even after travelling with two kids. The airport staff had been really cooperative. So when the flight finally reached t Indore airport, they quite nicely asked the handicap or people on wheel chair to board first, then they asked for ladies or families with kids. (Cmon, now Jet had never asked me that..even when my son was just 1.5 months old) Frankly, till date only Singapore airlines had done it with me. But now look here, a domestic airlines on Indore airport politely arranging organised boarding. I was already happy as now I could settle the kids by the time everyone else had been seated.

But, my god, once inside. I loved every part of it. My only problem was the leg space, but I suppose I should be used to it now since I am tall. I did not get the front seat so that I could have more leg space but nevertheless, it did have one benefit, my son got a TV screen in front of him. He could not have asked for more. The first thing he said to me was, "Mamma your blue plane does not have TV, my RED plane shows me a cartoon". Now, could I argue with that?

Since the flight was not full, the flight attendant after giving her rhetoric about how to handle babies, arranged my little girl to be seated on the seat next to mine.

I could not have had more wonderful flight than this. Both the kids seated on either side and me in the middle seat, I could have my dinner without spoons falling, tray overturning and water bottle dropping every moment. I could thankfully finish everything and kids could eat too without any bother. (btw, my son did not like the lemon juice nor did the little one).

As far as food is concerned, I hate all flight food not matter which airlines it is or how hungry I am. I just hate that tasteless inflight food. (plus I hv a severe case of travel sickness). BUt to my surprise, this food was a lot better than any other airlines I have travelled with - internationally or domestic. Thank God. If I am hungry and have to take a flight, now I know which airlines is going to be my first option.

Lastly, the icing on the cake was - when the kids got their share of toys. (they always get a toy while travelling with Jet) but I had something coming my way from my son again. As soon as he got his toy, he says, "You see Mamma, your Blue plane gives only one toy but my RED plane gives me TWO toys." (if you are wondering about the second toy, he is talking about the RED Kingfisher pouch which we get as soon as we board the plane. It has a pen, wet tissue, some chocolates, today's menu and headphones for the TV)

Boy! Did I have a wonderful and peaceful flight? Oh Yes, I did! Kingfisher is my first choice now on all sectors wherever they fly!

Cheers!!!

Arrogance & Rudeness Rules on Kingfisher !!
Jun 11, 2007 11:07 AM 1893 Views

I have been regularly travelling Kingfisher on Coimbatore - Ahmedabad - Delhi Sector. It seems arrogance is the way of this ailine. Simple requirements like hot water for infant food must be asked for atleast 5 times before they are grudgingly fulfilled. Passengers are treated like freeloaders and God forbid in case one is stuck in a flight delays no information is ever available. On April 30th 2007, my flight from Delhi to Coimbatore was delayed by 7 hours out of which we spent 4 hours inside the aircraft. Every half hour or so we were told that we will be taking off in fifteen minutes.

I pay more and travel full fare airlines because I'm looking for comfort and service, not expecting to be frowned at. I am a frequent flyer on Jet Airways and Lufthansa also but this is the only airline where even the staff & crew are arrogant to the point of being rude. I dont think I will take a Kingfisher flight again if I have the option of another airline on a given day.

Flying the bad times
Jun 06, 2007 11:33 PM 3546 Views

Kingfisher is not a disgrace to India (like AI) but is definitely nowhere near Jet Airways standards. While the ground crew is beyond words, offering free Kingfisher uniformed staff who wait outside the airport to carry your luggage to the check in counter; the in flight experience lacks the charm and responsibility of Jet. Although Mallya has some good ideas going for him, like leather seats and personal IFE entertainment, he needs to expand them. The PTV'S (personal TV) only show 4 channels all in Hindi..news, zoom, and a childrens show along with the flight's progress on the air show.

The seats although leather are cramped, small, have minimal legroom and recline. The pre departure beverage is a nice touch, but the rest of the catering is disgusting. I had stringy noodles that were undercooked (and made god knows when) and tasted like eating string since they were so bland and thin. We had "potatoes under a bed of spinach"..which appeared to be soggy lumps of potato and ONE WET LEAF OF SPINACH..where they conceived the word bed from I do not know.

The cabin crew are well groomed and not ugly but not good looking, but are still unfamiliar with the art of service, they tend to be too warm and become over intrusive and stammer, as if they were in a show and unfamiliar with their lines. Another good idea Mallya has are the amenity kits, but yet they only have a sweet, a pen, and a timtable as well as a crappy moist towelette. Who would want a timetable and a crappy most towelette when they should be offering real cloth ones like Jet..even in economy? Also..the livery and aircraft interioir is too red..red is nice but when overdone looks tacky. Overall, Jet has the best product in the Indian skies, and debatably in Asia, I dont think I will ever fly Kingfisher again.

Good Times agn n agn !!!!
May 30, 2007 10:53 PM 2199 Views

I'm quite new to air travelhave travelled only 7 timesout of that 4 were "GOOD TIMES"

FIRST FLIGHT

My first flight was with Kingfisher (pretty happy tat I selected King :) )I travelled with Kingfisher jus a few mths after it's launchn tat time it's fares were down to earthnot sayin tat nw they r sky high, but surely they r nt cheap also !!!

Tat flight was an amazing experience in all respectIt was so smooth as if I was sitting at home on a comfort chair !!

MEALS / SNACKS

Kingfisher has contract with the best chef's house, "Sky Gourmet"Ther food is like heaven !!! The taste is so addictive !!!

As per my experience, it does not matter what time u travel with themur sure to come out of the plane licking ur lipswith the taste of the food still in ur senses !!!

Ther snacks are also so refreshin !!!

Let me compare this with another air carrier, won't name itbut in the whole 2hr flightd only thing they offered was a "COOKIE" n a "Candy"I virtually saw d flight attendants jus 23 durin d whole flight !!!

ATTENDANTS

I don't think i've to say much abt the attendants(better put air hostesses)

Firstly, they all look stunnin(it's expected to come out 4rm a guy [;)] )

The service is "A" classi mean they r ther to serve u al d timei've barely seen them restin durin d flight duration for even a minute

Plus the way they interact with ppl is an amazin experiencethey make sure tat all ur needs r fulfilled

One thing I noticed with them was ther behaviour with kidsit was really nice to see them behave like kids to keep d kids happy !!!

OVERALL EXP

Coverin all experiences, it's been really "GOOD TIMES" with Kingfisher

The planes r new n equipped with all features to keep one entertained durin d flight hrs

They r punctual with ther timingstill nw i've nt heard of them gettin delayed

The pilots r vry goodther was nt even one instance wher I felt any kind of dissatisfaction durin d flight

Though expensive, I wld advice all to fly them atleast once to experience real comfort !!!!

Fly the Good times..indeed
May 13, 2007 05:13 PM 2657 Views

I had a pleasure of being the'guest' in a flight from Mumbai to Cochin(22nd April) of Kingfisher. I could not resist but write a review for a unforgettable experience.

I must say its true when they say in their advertisements " Fly with Good Times" indeed.

The ground crew & in flight  are very friendly are very courteous always sporting a smile.

The food was sumptous and the feature of watching recorded videos is truly an different experience

Although all the crew were remarkable and friendly one staff who I would say delighted me was an check in attendant named "Rakesh" . Yes I agree he was doing a routine job when he offered me an electronic checkin but this act of him and his tone and mannerism truly delighted me, I have also commented about him on the feedback form offered to me by the inflight crew.

Also one thing I woul like to comment on is the captian's announcemnt while flying, I Feel that need to be more polished as it seemed to be very dull and lazy, there were lots of fillers being used.like uuuh hmmm also it would be great if the voice is more enthusiastic

The overall  experience, I must say will only make me recommend travel by Kingfisher Airlines to friends and family.

Wishing it all the best in their endeavour & other such dream projects.I am confident that Kingfisher Airlines will become the top domestic flier, and amongst the best international carrier too in near future.

This review is more about the comfort that Kingfisher provided me,  while travelling with my mother(she has arithritis and has lot of difficulties while walking) and my 12 year old nephew.I was little apprehensive about, how would I manage.I had to travel from Hubli to Bangalore. Its very difficult for my mom to take even a single step. She uses a walking stick and has to walk really slow.

*My Experience:-

We arrived at the Hubli airport. As soon as we got down from the taxi, one of the Airlines rep greeted us and helped me to take off all the luggage from the taxi.He saw my Mom's condition, he signalled for another rep to rush with a wheel-chair.They helped her sit on the wheel-chair and courteously got her inside the airport.Another lady helped me with my boarding passes. The two reps got my luggage go through the x-ray scanning and labeled them, in the meantime. The flight came on time at 2:55PM(punctual). The crew took special care of my mother and took her very comfortably inside the flight. They assisted her to get to ther seat. They told me not to worry at all!

I have to appreciate guys. They know how to assist a customer! The hostess were very polite, courteous and helpful.

The flight was an ATR. Still the seats were much better and very comfortable.Small yet the plane looked great and so much systematic.30 minutes on the flight and we were served with snacks. Have to say that the quality was very good. The hostess suggested a good juice for my mom, as she did not feel like eating anythg. The hostess even gifted a KingFisher watch to my nephew:) Its not the value of the watch or how much it costs. It made the little kid happy, thats wat matters.

Once we landed in Bangalore. We were told to stay back.Once all the passengers got down, two guys came and helped my mom on the wheel chair and carried it down. They got a separate vehicle for us and helped us to the "Arrival".One rep helped us till the taxi and he put all the luggage in the taxi. Also helped my mom, to get inside. And with a polite and courteous smile told "Have a good day!".

Seriously with all their help, assistance and great customer service, I had a very good day! They really took care of my mom and for me it really means a lot.(I gave a good feedback to them!).

All in all, I was very happy and definitely their help is really appreciated.

*Some days after this journey.

I had to travel from Belgaum to Bangalore.Since there is only one flight(Air Deccan) from Belgaum, I had to book my tickets from it.I saw a guy who was taking his parents to Bangalore. His Dad was old and looked unwell. He needed some1 to hold his hands all the time to walk. The guy was having problems, while helping his dad and taking the bag also. And believe me, none of the staff from Air Deccan even bothered to help him.! The guy had to help his dad to the flight.I remembered my situation and felt, I was so fortunate.Hence I offered the guy to take his bag, while he helped his dad.He felt better.Did the same when reached Bangalore.

During the flight, I compared the service, with my previous experience and felt there is a huge difference.

Air Deccan may say that they are low cost airlines and cut down unnecessary costs. They do not prefer all the chamak-damak like other airlines. But tell me guys, hw much does it cost to make a customer feel good and feel cared for.Hw much wd it have taken the staff to help the guy and his father?

No offence .This is just my personal experience and what I saw.

Personally I prefer Kingfisher. And thumbs up to them.
