Dec 14, 2018 04:56 PM 1142 Views

The Kerala Cafe Restaurant in Vasai is spacious and has great interiors with intricate South-Indian art on their walls and a brown tables giving it a minimalistic European feel and keeping it cool and classy at the same time. They have authentic food from Kerala. They do serve Chinese and great beverages as well. The service can be a bit slow, but the food makes it worth the wait. They have songs in Malayalam playing in the background adding to the vibe of the place.

They have a wide variety to choose from and have tasty food here so make sure you come on an empty stomach so that you have room to try a lot of stuff. The Chicken Chettinad curry is delectable. The rasam here is heavenly. Buffalo meat-eaters can rejoice because you do get buffalo meat here. The curries that are made with coconut base are finger-licking-good. The appetizers are also quite flavorful; however it can be a bit spicy so do order some appam or parotta to go with it if you are not used to eating spicy.

The must try appetizers in non-veg here are chicken ghee roast, the chicken 65 kerala style, crispy sesame chicken, mutton roast, fish pollichatu. Vegetarians must try the cottage cheese kurumulagittahu and cauliflower veraval.

They also have vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Meals at Kerala Cafe Restaurant have 12-13 items. The veg one has rice, rasam, red rice, avail, sambar, murru curry, kotto curry, moru velma, thoran, papad, kondattam, chamandipudi, banana chips, pickle and payasam. The non-vegetarian thali has chicken roast, chicken kerala curry, 3 Appam or parotha payasam and 2 kinds of coconut chutney. They also serve fish, mutton, and buffalo and veg thali.

They also have amazing drinks and desserts. The jiggery coconut custard is made to perfection and is a must have here. The Pineapple kulukki sharbat that has pineapple mixed with lime and a touch of spice garnished with chilly is a pleasant drink and Malabar blues, which is a blend of blue Curacao, lemon and fresh mint is also one of their good drinks.

Kerala Cafe Restaurant is one of the best places for authentic Keralite food and if you like Keralite food so those who like Keralite food must definitely try their food. Also, people who have never tried Keralite food should also visit this place to taste what food from Kerala really is like.
