Gudiya, a twenty something girl of a nondescript village of UP, created much media uproar some years back by her utterly personal life of choosing between two husbands, one who was apparently'lost" in war 5 years back and has now come back, and one she loved dearly who supported her in times of grief.KAHANI GUDIYA KI  is a movie based on her life and her turmoils.

1.DARD APNA LIKH NA PAYEE.ungliyan jalti rahin.is sung with great expression by Jagjit Singh.No words can express his rendition.

2.JIS RUT MEIN CHUDIYAN.sung by Sadhana Sargam is a usual song, but Sadhana Sargam has great voice which makes all her songs worth listening.

3.GUDIYA TUJH PAR EK PAL.hasna, ek pal rona.aaye.sung by Jagjit Singh is one song that will leave everybody move to tears.Just listen to https://lyrics.tere ashkon ko kise mala mein pirona aaye.Why some people have to suffer so much?May be this is life in which your story was written somewhere up and you are just playing your part.

4.DUA KUBOOL KARO.by Habib Sabri.Its a qawwali song.Sabri people have this genetic trait of good singing.Some of their clan participated in Saregama and Voice of India recently.

5.HAR EK FAISLA HAR IMTEHAN.chhod diya.na chahte hue bhi yeh jahan chhod diya.Gudiya was apparently forced to leave her second husband by community and was asked to join her first husband with an impending pregnancy.Some months later, she died in a defence hospital in New Delhi battling an incurable disease.This song is also sung by Jagjit Singh.

6.GUDIYA TUJH PAR Ek PAL.INSTRUMENTAL.

Music director Prakash Raj has done an excellent job.Lyrics by Madan Pal are worth listening.

Gudiya is played by Divya Dutta.
