JW Kitchen, JW Marriott restaurant is one of the good food places in Kolkata to enjoy. I went kolkata with my family for holidays and came across this restaurant. I was amazed by seeing JW Marriott because it was quite beautiful from outside. I saw the water fountain dance as I centered. No parking charges were taken by us. JW Marriott is located around science city area. The exterior of the restaurant was quite nice to take pictures because the area was hygienic, eye catching and well maintained.
The interior look of the restaurant was amazing. The ambience seemed very clean and systematic. I went for a buffet lunch there which starts at 12: 30pm to 3: 00pm. It costs Rs 1260 per person from Monday to Friday without any tax. Saturday and Sunday have different price range for lunch. I came to know about Saturday meal. It was Rs 1500 per person with unlimited beer without tax. It is a luxurious restaurant but at the same time meals are affordable. Everyday you can see some different dishes present. Dinning table is casual and classic. There are various mouth watering sections or counters present. Some counters are live means few chefs cooks in front of customers which is quite a good idea. We could smell the delicious food and had a good view of cooking. The food was hygienic and presented in good manner. Infront of every dish, the name plate of food item was kept for easy understanding of dish. The staff was kind, helpful and polite in talking. Also for babies, a baby chair is available for them. There is a open kitchen which prepares various kinds of pasta, pizza, chawmin according to our wish ingredients. This is outstanding.
From where should I start describing about the food! I am confused. There were a lot of varieties. So for example I saw a section of breakfast which included various kinds of breads, chutneys, Achaar, poha etc. No much interested in this section but still food was yum. There was starters, main course, deserts, beverages, ice cream, chat sections, salads, Dry fruits etc. OMG I am in love with food.Basically I saw more north Indian dishes, few Chinese, Italian, street foods. These are: - Biryani, Cornpalak, matar paneer, aloo Gobi, Gobi Tikka masala, Daal makhni, mutton curry, chicken Tikka masala, fish curry, lamb curry, veg pulav, chicken biryani, Dhokla, Mal pua, gulab Jamun, dahi wada, sweet rice, Bengali sweets, sauces, sandwiches, chaat, pani puri, fruits. I could not eat all of these and there were many more too. I guarantee both veg and non veg eaters would be satisfied. There were so many different flavors of cakes. I think the sweet section had 25-30 dishes which were unbelievable. I felt like I am in heaven.
Overall I enjoyed it. Any party arrangement can be done but book your table earlier. The interior place was big. It could accommodate many people. The decor and hospitality is price worthy. There was both self serving as well as waiter serving available. Quick serving is done without much waiting. I had a big jump on desert sections. I could not control myself. The quantity of food depends on you. NOTE: - I know the food for per person is unlimited but please don't waste food. Take the amount of food you would eat and go three to four to five time again to the food store when your meal gets finished. There is no such big deal.
Everything was yum. Thumbs up for that. Yes I would definately once again go back to this restaurant and I would recommend you guys too. #FOODGASMexperience #MouthShutFoodie
