Fun Farms

This was a very wonderful place with a calm and pleasant atmosphere. We visited the place with a group of 50 children. The Service was excellent with a friendly touch. We had booked in at the last moment but , they still managed to provide the best facilities and entertainment in such a short span of time. They arranged excellent games and the kids also enjoyed a lot. We also heard that the place had special programs on Sundays for the visitors but we unfortunately visited there on a Saturday however it was no less that day.We enjoyed a lot. A place Worth visiting again and again.

May 06, 2010 01:17 PM 12781 Views

Well it was my birthday and I asked every one to suggest a place where I could give my treat and my friend said jain farms and we decided to go their and were really excited. We left here early in the morning 6 and we reached there by 7.15 or so. The road scenario was good and was a pleasant drive. We reached jain farms and we got a warm welcome from the staff we were shown the way to our rooms.

Then we went to the swimming pool which was really neat and well maintained and we had a lot of fun their we enjoyed a lot then as we were hungry we went and had our breakfast which was yum. Then we played cricket, pool, carom, chess, volley ball, badminton and many more games.we did unique things like bullock cart, horse riding camel riding, and pottery things which I think we can never do or find in Bangalore. Well we never knew when time passed by and it was evening by no time.

Well we all wanted to stay the night but we had to return back to our work but it was a wonderful experience had a lot of fun it was awesome.the best place to hang out affordable and the best.

Must visit place for families and friends of huge groups.

Had a jalsa at jain farms
Jul 22, 2009 10:43 PM 12669 Views

I visited jain farms on sunday. It was 45km drive from blr, it was hectic to travel but it was worth while of travelling.

The ambience was excellent, there is a lot of greenery, the break fast was so assom , the games part was good it can be much better,

we went in group of 30+, so were enjoying the place up to the mark, the staff were co-operative, the swimming pool was kept clean, but change room shud be more hygenic, there were so many games like ring game, gunshooting, and indoor games.

We enjoyed horse ride and camel ride.and the best part is that they care for animals.i suggest them to allow pets in the resort

There were housie and dance programme.we enjoyed both and we won prices in housie, the price shud be more attractive, we enjoyed the bullock cart ride, and we were all happy because this ride was very unique,

The price of food was reasonalble, it will not burn our pockets, the food was good but they shud give dessert with that, the food was totally vegetarian we were happy for this..the resort shud be kept more clean. Altogether it was nice and beautiful place to visit.I surely would like to vist again with my family and spend time there

Fun in Large Groups

Last week me along with my friends visited jain farms, it was a whole lot of fun, the resort was designed like a village with cottages shaped like huts but it had the normal facilities like TV, Bathrooms, Fridge, etc,

Only veg food was available but it was good, the swimming pool was nice and clean and the indoor games were few. On sunday we tried bullock cart, pottery and some other village folk entertainers which was a new experience and some fun too.

The staff were friendly, we played cricket but the resort could have provided better bats. The Camp Fire at the eve was very good especially when you relax beside them at night having your dinner and chatting with your friends till dawn.

We just dint know when time passed by. We guys have already made up a plan to visit this place shortly again. Dont expect 5 Star Facilities - but then A Value for Money Resort

DO NOT waste your time at Jain Farms Bangalore
Feb 03, 2009 07:53 PM 12509 Views

Our group of friends (11 families in all) went this last weekend to Jain Farms. The only reason why we managed to spend the day there was because of company of friends - everything at the resort was PATHETIC. The ambience was ZERO.

There was only a tent to sit under on plastic chairs throughout the day. The ride on the camel and the horse carriage had to be done with nose plugs - the poor animals had not been cleaned for probably 5 years. The food was VERY ordinary and the staff ate along with us.

The dosa was being made on a griddle that was dirtier than the tiny restaurant on the roadside and the drinks were being served from ghadaas (pots) whose necks were black with fungal growth. The staff at the resort was rude and offered no help - whether it was at the pool or at the restaurant. All of us ended up with sore throats and bad tummies by the time we got back home.

Total waste of time, money and effort. DO NOT GO THERE...

Waste of time and money

Pathetic - is one word that comes to my mind about Jain Farms.

I went to Jain Farms on a Sunday with my extended family, thinking it will be a nice getaway from home. I had to buy "food coupons" at Rs.250 per person, right at the resort entrance, from the security guy. As we drove into the open "parking lot" - there were really a "lot" of vehicles parked!!! The small swimming pool was fulllllll of people - I could see a 100 hands trying to grab a ball! I'm sure the ball could never land on water - there were so many people in it!

As we walked in, we found two large pandals, with 500+ village-ish North Indians (I have nothing against north-or-south Indians, but did not expect such a BIG crowd at a resort). The food was totally veggie (jain food), but quite tasty.

After that we found a splash pool for kids, with so many kids splashing that I did not dare let mine get into the pool of sweat and spit. We played for 30 mins on a small patch (the only patch) of grass - which I later found - was a micro-golf course!

We left the resort after a 2-hours "day picnic", vowing never to go back again. The only plus-side was the nice drive through Sarjapur-Bagalur.

I strongly advice against going to Jain farms. This is nowhere near the cleanliness, hospitality or facilities you will find at the numerous resorts closer to Bangalore.

Its ok for the money, don't have high expectations

My experience was not great at this place. If you have to go, tone down your expectations. The golf course is a joke. Its hardly the size of volleyball court! The grass was not cut well and we finally had family picnic at the putting green! There's no play you can enjoy golf here.

The food is very much a South Indian road side dhaba quality. The bullock cart ride, horse rides are ok. Swimming pool was decent and your family can have some good time there. There's no garden or proper playground for cricket/football kind of game. The arrangements were quite random with hardly any useful sign boards to guide us.

The rooms were dingy, linen was ok, decor nothing good to write about.

Overall, for 250 person on Sunday(includes entry, breakfast and lunch), if you keep your expectations really low, your family with kids etc can have it as an option. I would rate it 2/5 for value for money.

Do not be fooled by the blurb

Everything is POOR. Mr G Sajeev the Country Club Manager is all bowing and bending but all the time looking out for making something. He will get you beer though they do not have an excise licence. He will charge you double the price; the food is OK if you eat tasteless, oily stuff though if you blow up they do make an effort.

The main road to the Club is the only one with tar surface but is in terrible condition compared to the NH 207 that you would have just turned off. The rest of the "roads" are actually dirt tracks with big stones exposed by the rain. They have a generator but it is not switched on in the day and the invertor in the room was not functioning - the waiter said something about no battery.

If your are planning to buy a plot(and there are many available), so don't let Ms Nalini, the Business manager fool you. The price is around Rs 150 per sq ft though she will quote Rs 250 per which includes her commission.

The Jain Farms will promise the world but expect nothing but shoddy work, slow pace and poor, extremely poor response once they have your money.

BE VERY CAREFUL OF  Mr Sajeev - HE IS GREASY AND GREEDY(and the MD's pet employee).

Jain Farms - Vacation Review
May 03, 2007 01:15 PM 8857 Views

I just reached back home from a planned vacation at Jain farms. A initial plan of 3D/2N was cut short to just a nights stay, thanks to the jungle called "Jain Farms". The web site shows well maintained manicured gardens and boosts of a host of facilities like a 24 hr power back up!! Seeing all this I was fooled into paying 2700 Rs per day(couple) charges, which I assume are charges of 3 star accomodations(bangalore outskirts).

What I got was a lousy and ill maintained jungle, 4-5 hrs of power disruption(for a 15 hrs stay in total), bad food and lots of lots of Hot Tamil nadu Sun. They have a decent swiming pool area though. Just in case u wd be intrested in spending that amount for a pool dip! Moral of the story - In case u plan for a vacation do not ever think of Jain Farms!!
