So, if you like DISHONEST, UNSCRUPULOUS AND AN UNETHICAL STORE, JAGDISH STORES is for you! Here are the details of our recent ordeal with this mega store:

• Bought three expensive sofa fabrics and paid 100% ADVANCE.

• Fabrics delivered after 10 days and what do we get? Instead of one sofa fabric some cheap sheer curtain fabric. The other fabric which was supposed to be a continuous length of 32 metres, got 4 cut pieces of 2 mtrs, 4 mtrs, 1 mtrs and 16 metres.

• AND THEN THE ORDEAL STARTED. Firstly the mistakes were completely denied, argued and blamed on the suppliers, the warehouse staff, packing staff, the neighbor’s dog etc etc.

• On speaking to the owner Jagdish Khandelwal who was rude, obnoxious and unwilling to accept his mistake! At maximum he would get the wrong fabric changed BUT we had to deliver the wrong one at their showroom and get the right one after three days. It was none of his concern if the mistake was there. In addition he flatly refused to do any thing on the cut pieces which are sold in his store at 75% discount! So much for HONESTY and taking 100% in advance. SO ONE ADVICE ……. AVOID THIS STORE AS PLAGUE.

I have received a damaged roller blind from Jagdish Store Kolkata even after paying upfront the full amount and since two months, I am trying to get it replaced but not getting any support from them. This after I have made purchases worth more than 1.2 lakhs from this store.

Feeling being cheated.

Just would like to advice friends to think twice before you make any purchase from this store. Even after paying premium you get such damaged and misaligned products.

Review: Recently, I bought cloth material for curtain from Jagdish stores, Ring road, Lajpat Nagar. Though the item which I selected(keen on god quality cotton) was on sale, I did not bother to get it checked thoroughly(it was 9 metres) and after all, what's the point in going for a brand if you have enough time to do all these checks.

To my surprise, later when I got it stitched and fixed I found the cloth was defective(obvious missing threads). I rushed to the stores and I was not allowed to enter by the security personal as it was about 7.30.p.m. closing time.

However, another official who was there outside by chance took my slip/receipt inside and requested me come next day during daytime. I went there the following saturday and have shown the defective piece.

The Manager Mr. Kapil(guess I could recollect name correctly) had dutifully/decently listened, checked the piece and I was given a replacement equivalent to what I returned. Though, I had to cough up stitching charges once again(ofcourse to a different source) the neat dealing of the concerned staff at Jagdish stores was indeed impressive. It lived up to their name.
