An uplifting experience during our trip to Jabalpu

Our faith in God and humanity restored!

I forgot my mobile handset in this open electric auto (photo shown ). We got down at the hotel where we are staying, the auto left and we did not realise until we reached our room that I had left my phone. My wiferang my phone and the auto guy RAJI DAS heard the phoneringing. He answered and told her that he is coming back. He came back near the hotel, returned my phone and refused the money we wanted to give him saying , " Mujhe aap sharminda na karo (meaning, do not shame me by rewarding) . Hum to seva Karte hain. Humari bhi bal bacchein hein(we serve and i have children meaning his honesty will protect his children) . He touched our feet asking forblessing !Amazing.!

We indirectly rewarded him by coaxing him to accept sweets for his children. We were overwhelmed by his honesty and principles.

We will be back in Jabalpur on 12th and will hire his electric auto for trips.

If you visit Jabalpur anytime in the future, please ring him and he will pickyou up from wherever you are in jabalpur and take you around safely to help you with sightseeing and shopping. Please note that this was a true incident that happened at around 7.00pm on Tuesday 6th February. You are welcome to cross check with me on my email.

Gorgeous place- a must visit
May 08, 2019 03:43 PM1184 Views

It is a beautiful place surrounded by water and hills from three sides and the weather is always pleasant. The bhedaghat which is also known as the niagara fall of India is a must visit place which is an absolute treat to an eye. Other than that there is a national park Kanha, which is around 200km and is known as the biggest tiger reserve of India. The arms for our military is also produced there. And the food is so damn amazing. There is a direct flight to jabalpur from all the major parts of the cities in India.

WORST is the word you look for.
Nov 15, 2017 11:23 AM2341 Views

Jabalpur is a city in Eastern MP.

This is enough for your knowledge.

Rest is simply unworthy of mentioning about this city.

if you talk about accessibility, hell it is a big junction, but you won't find a single direct train to any of the western parts of the country, say for Gujarat they have one train and one for Rajasthan, it is almost like they just had to complete the list of connectivity so they placed one for each state.

and timings, well the least spoken is the best.

Even flights are not so good, it will take nearly 5-6 hrs to reach from Mumbai to here.

and via train, nearly 20 hrs. Worst in terms of accessibility.

In fact it takes nearly 7 hours for train to reach Bhopal(The Capital) and 12-14 to reach Indore(The Biggest and Best City of MP)

Local Sight Seeing:

Gwari Ghat and Bheda Ghat. That's it. they do not have anything else, and to make the matters worst, they have just two shopping centers which the local population calls as "MALLS".

and don't even let me start about the local population, they are one of the worst collection of people.

I work here, and professional ethics are the last thing they know of, even in the highest of corporate atmosphere you would have "Bhaiya and Didi" culture. I HATE IT.

Hotels and Accommodation

apart from 4-5 big hotels, rest are not worth of looking at, leave aside staying.

Samdariya group's hotels are good, Narmada Jackson is good, and Gulzar is good, rest are, well just leave it.

Safety.

if you are coming to Jabalpur, safety is the last thing you will have, Girls shall not even think of commuting in shorts, skirts, etc. because as per them when you come for holiday you do not come for enjoying you should be in "SANSKAR".

The people, barring few whom I met, are in general harsh, rouge and egoist to the point of behaving as if they own the place.(it is not a city, it is a congested tribal town, that has apparent looks of city)

and They do not know how to drive, there are very few traffic signal in entire city, and traffic cops are never found on duty, I doubt if they have a brigade of traffic cops.

The few signals that are present and are in working condition(if they are), are never followed. The heights of their ego is that if you have an accident with any bike/car/SUV, they will start hurling abuses like anything, even if it was their mistake.

All in all

Accessibility: Below average

Local Sightseeing: Below Average

Hotels: Average

Safety: Zilch

as I said in the title of review, to describe the city, "WORST" is the word you look for.

I am a local resident of Jabalpur .This city is very attractive but It dont have any nice tourist spot expect Bhedaghat and Dumna nature Reserve .I don't recommend tourist to come here for just to visit these two spots.Inner city is highly populated and polluted too . Jabalpur have two malls but both are not very big and not attractive to much. There are lots of hotels to stay here but only some are good.

Jabalpur has becoming a coaching center slowly, it got lots of coaching centers at a place called yaduv colony.Momentum and rediance are big coaching institutes of Jabalpur and student from many nearby places come here to study.

Hi friends, you have listen many things about jabalpur but this all wrong at the some stages. This city not have evan a big city mall. A city mall is in this city which is too small. It finishes in just 15 min when you starts seeing it. Another thing about jabalpur is that in this city the roads are damaged fully. There is no proper traffic rule in this city. The city is mostly polluted. You see every where full of of garbages. Jabalpur is a dustbin . there is no place for sightseeing in this city except bhera ghat and madan mahal fort. The city has not well known college in any field. Overall jabalpur is bad city. Thankyou for reading.

Don't even consider visiting this city.
Jan 20, 2017 10:19 AM2698 Views (via Android App)

I am currently studying in Jabalpur city, so the opinions I'm going to share will be based on my experiences, as a tourist destination, Jabalpur is the worst city. there are not many places to visit and the ones which are there are also not good enough you might have heard of Bhedaghat, Bhedaghat is a good place to visit in Jabalpur but the problem is, it is too crowded, no matter at which time of the year you visit Bhedaghat, you will always find a crowd of people roaming there like a herd, and to be honest the place is not even good enough for you to make this many sacrifices. And one more place which people say worth visiting is Madan Mahal it is basically an old fort, It IS an old fort, that's it nothing more, so basically it too is not worth visiting, and near Madan Mahal there is a place called balancing rocks, it is quite good, you could see some rocks balancing over some other rocks which is quite a scene to enjoy but no one would consider visiting a city to see some rocks. It is not a city worth visiting and wasting your holidays and vacation. And if we talk about other aspects of Jabalpur city this city is highly underdeveloped compare to other cities of MP. So basically, don't waste your holidays in this city. Thanks for reading

Jan 19, 2017 12:40 AM2740 Views (via Android App)

Jabalpur the another city is madhya pradesh is a good city but it also included a number of bad faults.

First of all it is very difficult in jabalpur to travel from one place to other because there were no proper transportation service available there to access nicely.

The jabalpur is not all beautiful city as BHOPAL but this city also good in some pause areas or rich areas.Greenery is to seen there.

A number of hotels is available here which is also good for staying but mostly hotels were of no use because their services is not good.

This city is safe but not always many natural sisters like floods is always attack this city. There were a lot of robbers also there. From point of view of safety.IT IS BElOW AVERAGE.

The marble city
Dec 19, 2016 03:54 PM2757 Views (via Android App)

Jabal pur district is a district of Madhya pradesh state in central India. The city of Jabalpur is the administrative headquarter of district .

Under the brightly lit moon , 100 feet tall mountains of marble change form as the river Narmada passes through it . This view is so scenic that it stays with you for long but this just one of many gifts that Jabalpur offers .

Jabalpur has some nice tourists attractions that one should check out . .

Rani Dugavati Museum.

Dedicated to queen durgavati , the Rani Dugavati Museum inJabalpur houses a fine collection of Pre historic sculptures and inscriptions .

Tilwara ghat .

The tilwara ghat on the bank of thr river narmada is famous for its natural beauty and historical importance .

Dhuandhar water falls .

Also known as Smoke cascade , the picturesque Dhuandhar falls is located at Behadghat , 30 km away from Jabapur .

Many other good places are also there to visit , but from my point of view it is good to visit once.

City is soo nice as there are a lot of villages near it where you can spend alot of good and quality time.

But my experience is about summers.

I think in middle of summers I wa there and it was like hell feeling. Because the extensiveness of summer was soo horrible I was unable to stay at one place I was feeling burning from inside.

The food I got was good but I vomitted all because of all that summer effect I dont know why but the effect of summer and sunlight is soo much in this city rest is good.

But recommend dont go in summer

THe city jabalpur is the worst city ever I have seen in madhya pradesh. When I visit to jabalpur gor a tourism purpose I saw that the poverty and the development of jabalpur is null.

All the garbage is seen everywhere. No greenery is seen in this city. The tourism attraction around this city is pretty good.

When we talk about the safety system of jabalpur it is below average I caNt feel safe in this city.I saw that the beggars is all around us.Jabalpur is covered with the rural area.

Overall my BHOPAL IS BEST.

THANK YOU.

Fewer Tourist Places - Jabalpur
Sep 08, 2016 07:22 PM3273 Views (via Android App)

Jabalpur also known as Marble city is in Madhya Pradesh. That is city is famous for marbles, not for tourism. Only Few places are there for visiting that can be visit only in one day. Tilwara ghat, duandhar ghat and rani durgawati museum. That are nice places. But if you want full fun and good number of places, then , jabalpur is not for that. Hotels available are good, but no use of them, as only one day is enough to do that. Reaching to jabalpur is good. I went there by train and stayed for two days. In short, choose different place for a tour.
