Indus International School, Bangalore Reviews

Inconvenient place
30 days ago273 Views

This school is located 20-30 kms away from city compared similar schools in Bangalore. Schools is run by ex military man who is business minded. If you give full year feel he will offer discount. They boost themselves as biggest boarding school in Asia, and their intake will go on until mid term to fill those numbers. Turnover of staff is 20% upwards specifically in last 2 years. School wasting its resources by not making children to participate in Athletics, Swimming and other sports. School is hiding its results from public, due downhill in average grades.Kindly keep this in mind before you decide.

Fraud IB- indus school pune

Firstly, the school has the worst management and the secondary block does not have good infrastructure at all. When first visited the school everything seemed really great but from the inside it is the worst. there are no proper sunlight and the projectors do not work at all. Half of the time the wifi is gone and we cannot work at all. I currently spent 3 years at indus and it was not a good experience. In 10th grade, there are no proper planning for conducting mocks and the HYE was taken on september instead of December and the whole syllabus of 9th and 10th was there. The mocks are also not well-planned and it is clashing with the Personal Project and e-portfolio submission. There is no co-ordination between the teachers with all of them giving different advises. The lunch timings after 10th is around 2pm which is also an issue. The only good thing about indus is the ISL camp they provide. I don't understand how this school expects us to submit everything on time with so many dates clashing and the bus services are one of the worst. They include around 30 students in one bus and it gets so claustrophobic. There are 3 kids sitting on 1 seating for 45 mins or more. Sometimes the AC starts to leak and it is really annoying and disgusting. The blocks(secondary, middle and primary) are not well planned. The primary block is equipped with every facility with good care. Whereas, the secondary block does not have proper lightings and wifi availability. There are nails popping out of the walls and it is really dangerous as someone could get injured. The timetable is useless as they give more time to IC class instead of allocating math or other important subjects for the board years. The AC does not work in the school and it gets tremendously hot during the summers.

PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE DO NOT TAKE ADMISSION IN THIS SCHOOL AT ALL

Best International School in Pune

Indus International School, Pune majorly focuses on holistic growth of a child. Academics, sports, discipline, co-curricular all aspects are well taken care of. Teachers are supportive and help the students to learn various skills. The best part of this school is food. An elaborative menu and good quality of food is ensured at Indus. I highly recommend this school to all parents who are seeking admission in Indus Pune.

There’s nothing more than the pretty campus everything else is an illusion - money, power and politics. Please know what you’re getting your child into - cult like administration- leeching off students.

Would not recommend !!

PLEASE DONT DO THIS TO YOUR CHILD
Sep 23, 2023 07:24 PM5208 Views

As a student, I'll be graduating this year, and it's by far the worst thing, but I'm relieved to be finally escaping it. I've been in this school since grade 3, and boy, has the school gone downhill. The only reason I'm here is because it still has a good reputation, which might help with college. I mean, seriously, don't enroll your child here. There are only about 10 competent teachers, the fees are excessively high, mainly because half of an Indus student's fees go towards random, pointless projects. For instance, there's the robot teacher, or that new 10X school they just created for supposedly super smart kids. But in reality, it's because Indus' brand name is plummeting so fast. I mean, my friend got in, and he failed his SATs, scoring a total of 940.

And let's not forget the constant humiliation students endure. I mean, things like girls not being allowed to wear formal pants and only skirts, even though they have to sit down on the floor, risking compromising themselves at times. I've even attached an image highlighting this skirt issue from my Instagram story [image attachment], which speaks volumes about the absurd rules in this school. Or kids being forced to get bowl cuts or hide scars. The school counselors are of no help either. Most of my friends left the counselor's office hoping to be consoled, but instead, most of them left in tears.

On top of all that, as a student, I've noticed that the school's reputation is declining rapidly. I don't think colleges will even care about it as much by next year. Please, just don't subject your child to this. Even if you want them to face challenges, I'd much rather go through a medieval torture machine than attend this school again.

Will not recommend

Will not recommend, my elder child passed out of here i am pulling out my younger one from here. It was a good school till the the VP Mr Rizwan left, after that the whole school started collapsing, the principal was removed, VP was removed, the college counseling team left, they hired some new lady who lacks even basic knowledge of colleges or counseling, also speaks rudely to the students. None of the saff respond to our calls, we have call them multiple times. My sincere advice is that it's not worth it , please don't fall for the trap. Save your money and send your children to another school in the city.

INDUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IS A BEST IB SCHOOL

My son is studying in Indus International School as a 12Grade. He is a very talented young man, so he has been learning golf as an amateur golf player. Indus International School has been supporting not only his study but also having strong confidence in his golf success. I'd like to say if your children have a similar condition, then please consider the Indus International school on priority, so that your childer will be able to put his mind to something he will succeed.

Indus as a school delivers its promise of all round welfare and development of the child , My son has been studying in indus since December 2020 and I have found a huge positive change in his knowledge , enthusiasm for school and confidence. . His interest in non academic fields like drama community consciousness environment consciousness and even sports has increased as well . All in all I feel indus encourages kids to strive by engaging them in activities beyond their comfort zone , but in an engaging and fun way and helps in their wholistic development .

Obsolete methodologies

The school has many alarming flaws that do not wish to work on. There is too much documentation involved in the hiring and even general operations. They do not pay for pre-employment medical checks and they ask you to risk yourselves to go to police stations and hospitals during strict quarantine when no one is even providing such services (online or f2f). They trick teachers into working for free for months under the name of job shadowing. And they will try to hire you for a lower position than in the market so that you struggle to find your way up. There is a constant fight for residential quarters (only those who teach extra hours qualify) and there are absurd restrictions imposed on foreign teachers. In short, yet want the best of your skills for free. In every speech, the CEO speaks about irrelevant topics (religion, local schools, as he is not from the educational sector) and half the school is filled with army people who think they can teach international curricula. Teacher training is of very poor quality. They usually get it from Twitter with very little thought going into whether the school should copy ideas directly or work on the needs of their own teachers. There are unfair paycuts if you are not friends with management. There is too much red tape and bureaucracy and those holding top positions do not care about the rest (they won't ever speak to you or respond to emails). They don't have any expertise in any area, and just tell you general theoretical ideas from really old books. The robot teachers and the ideation curriculum is all hype and the standards of teaching are so poor that foreign students are mindlessly dumped into ESL because local teachers cannot teach them. They can't handle mixed ability groups and technology and it's heartbreaking.

All that glitters is not gold

It’s true that the campus is sprawling and good, but does not add true value to students. They don’t follow any IB VALUES IN PRINCIPLE. if you are from any other true international IB schools, then brace for a huge impact. Quality of teachers very bad. If you are influential, then your child will be given importance, but be sure, there is no value add in terms of academic or extracurricular activities. Teachers are partial, will screw up new students thinking that they are top class. My child is in grade 6, I payed more than 8 lakhs for admission and realised that it is the worst in terms of academics. When I stood up, they started playing with test scores. Unfortunately I paid the fees for whole year otherwise I would have withdrawn my child. He top one of top scorer scoring full marks in all subjects. But when we stood up for their racism, they stared playing with his scores. Teachers - Partial, unprofessional, ignore students if they don’t like them and give preference only to some children who are influencial. Not an equal opportunity school. If we go by their teaching, CBSE OR IGCSE IS BETTER.

Think twice.

Best time of my life at Indus
Mar 05, 2021 02:38 PM24021 Views

I had studied in IISB from Class 3 to 12, and it was the best time of my life. The campus is vast, so we could move around freely and play. The Campus is surrounded by plants making it a happy and healthy place. I made lifelong friends at IISB, many of them are from different parts of the country, and a few were new to India. The faculty and the facilities were top class, and I did find some great friends here.

Lacking Professionalism
Jun 27, 2020 09:21 PM18074 Views (via Mobile)

I have had a very bad experience with Indus International School. In my opinion the fees they are claiming is far too much where they are not even accredited to the IB in Chennai. Teacher’s are not properly selected and many of them don’t even know what they are doing. A child put in that school will have trouble if they have to be shifted to an IB curriculum. Beyond all that the main heads of the school jack professionalism and if you find out how they are treating people you will not believe and I have witnessed it.
