Horrible management including principal
Jan 10, 2020 05:26 PM5014 Views (via Mobile)

My son studied their for a year, while admitting him we were told that in case we want to remove him from the school we would be given the refund of an amount of 45k which was paid during his admission. We decided to change his school because the management is irresponsible and don't even know what's happening in the school . The school staff couldn't speak proper English. The helpers(aayas) are always chewing pan and we also had two episodes of them hitting our son. When we confronted the teacher and the principal they claimed of not knowing anything . We decided to remove our son and kept following for the refund for almost six months which we never got. The worst possible school . They call themselves an international School but are not even to the mark of govt standards. Don't ever send your children to this school. Such schools are only opened to do business but not provide education

School with a difference

My son is studying in this School since last 4 years. The school has transformed itself in last 1 year I have seen under the guidance of the Director- Principal Dr Lata Murthy.

There is discipline as well improvement in the quality of teaching in the school.

Director- Principal is always available for a feedback and is open to accepting feedbacks. The school management is doing a superb job. There is individual attention on every students and Teachers to student ratio is high. Every student is managed and taught as per their individual capacity.

I am sure under the wise leadership and guidance of Dr Lata Murthy, the school will reach new heights.

Having spent 10 years in the US, I loved the fact that my child has friends from varying countries and cultures. Studying at IIS is not only helping my kids in academics but also expose them to experimental learning, sports, and extra-curricular activities. The students are treated with great care, respect, and discipline.

Worst School in India
Jan 24, 2019 04:33 PM11614 Views (via Mobile)

Worst school in India and so called International. There is nothing international about it . Teachers are worse than govt school teacher . No focus on academics they only play politics with parents and kids. Chairman is only interested in money, he has no clue about education as he is from real estate industry , principals keeps changing . Kids are bullied ...Tortured mentally and physically. Management and staff have no clue how to deal with it. Take Admission here if you want your child to go mentally insane.

I would recommend other parents also to enroll their children.

Children friendly school

India International School, is one of the oldest schools in Sarjapur Road. I admitted my child in the school as it delivers quality education as they have limited seats in each class. It is one of those schools in Bangalore which has a huge campus with lots of trees and ample playing space. My child is happy and is doing well in studies. She's in the school since pre-k and loves the school very dearly.

Lively Experience for Children

But the schoool is situated little far away from main road .transpotation problems should be eliminated

School with a heart

I have worked here before moving out of country. This is one of those places where the management doesn't bluff. They are a bunch of genuine people devoted to provide quality education to children at very minimal cost. A lot of warmth is showered on the students. The atmosphere is peaceful, in all a great place to be in.

High Class Education , Affordable fee Structure
Feb 12, 2018 02:10 PM8395 Views

I am a parent of this school . My children(two of them) are in this school and I can stick my neck out and proclaim to the world that there cannot be a finer educational Institution in South India.

Successful schools do well because of the following attributes

Faculty

Infrastucture

Commercial Viability

The school has a Principal Ms Selina Krishnan who served Indus International School as its Vice Principal for 13 long years. She has now joined IIS . This goes to show that the school takes academics very seriously. I personally feel that the strength of the school lies in its primary and senior grades. The induction of Ms Selina would go miles to provide that impetus to Middle school education as well .

The school is blessed with a huge campus and some real state of art sports activities.

Most schools would end up charging parents heavily for such facilities but that is what keeps IIS far apart and ahead.

Fees are well in the range of one and half lakhs per year and are most affordable.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ALL!

Very Good School
Feb 12, 2018 10:44 AM8338 Views

When we were transferred to Bangalore from Mumbai, we were struggling to find a good school for my children.

In Bangalore Sharjapur area, the following problems existed.

a) Schools, most of them at least were very expensive. Each of them at least charging more than a couple of lakhs per year

b) Contrasting values and visions. What they advertised was not what they delivered.

c) Poor untrained faculty

d) No infrastructure for sports and Co curricular activities.

The India International School came as a refreshing change to all this . Not only did the staff and teachers welcome the children with open arms, they took great pains to ensure that the children were well set in class and all their teething problems set right.

They have a 30 acre campus with a lovely swimming pool and a glass walled squash court.

I have personally seen their sports faculty take training very seriously and it is very encouraging for parents

Faculty attrition is a problem in most schools . However this school has staff who have been with them for more than a decade.

The school has a policy of not admitting more than 20 students in a class and this is further source of encouragement as it is evident that the school is not after filling their classes but to contribute to quality education.

I would easily rate this school as one of the best Co ed Schools in Bangalore.

Salaries not paid to Teaching staff and Principal
Feb 09, 2018 01:44 PM10405 Views

India International School have not paid Salaries to Teaching Staff and Principal for last 4 months.

Without Salary, how can teachers and Principal can contribute to good education.

it is inhumane in my opinion as they are not able to concentrate on the work.

Shame Shame Shame.

GOOD FACILITIES, STAFF AND NOMINAL FEE STRUCTURE
Jan 19, 2018 10:50 AM8860 Views

My kids have been studying in India International School, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore for the past 11 years.

The school has definitely come out very good in the recent years, there were initial toothing period for the school where they had some difficulties in the mAnasultangement, even at that time they mAnasultanged it commendably so that the staff turnover did not affect the students.

The Chairman has done a commendable job in taking complete control with excellent academicians like Ms. Selina Krishnan and team along with good administrative support.

I have seen other school mAnasultangements promising my friends and colleagues that they will take care of the students like their own kids but their sheer size and attitude is not allowing them to take personal attention of the kids, however here at IIS, even in difficult time and continuously, the administrative, teaching staff and senior mAnasultangement give attention to individual student's problems either academically or otherwise and make the student realise themselves their potential.

We have a parents committee which oversees the running of the school and at times we are very critical about certain aspects which are heard by the mAnasultangement and immediate amicable action taken.

A school with overall perfection
Nov 03, 2017 12:43 PM10195 Views

My son studying in IIS, Bangalore with IBDP syllabus since few months. We are over all happy with his studies, room, food, sports, well maintained large swimming pool, full time nurse, warden, teachers and principal respond even on phones, WhatsApp and emails, they have big campus with lot of greenery, the campus is well connected with road. UBER, OLA can find the school easily, staff do not manhandle the children, Chairman of the school visit the school everyday in the morning and personally monitor the administration activities.

My son has improved in his academics after joining the school due to special classes, students has easy access to teachers through mail, WhatsApp and phone, There is a small canteen inside the school to buy small cakes, chocolates, juices, cool drinks etc. The campus has school right from LKG to 12th, both in IGCSE, IB, etc. There are students from all over the country and few from Thailand. I interacted with teachers, principal admin officers and also chairman. All are well seasoned and friendly natured persons.

My son has fallen sick few times and every time, they have taken good care of him. They arrange paid taxi to drop and pick from airport. They send their staff along with child in taxi. There are Air Conditioned KSRTC buses from airport to nearest bus stop to school every 30mins. They don't put pressure on collecting fees, they celebrate all festivals and conduct cultural activities, they have tie up with best educational consultants to guide IBDP students apply for universities abroad. They are planning to provide SAT coaching inside the school. They have plenty of school buses to pick and drop the day scholars. My son actually got IBDP seat in Christ University into IBDP, I even paid Rs.50, 000 advance.

Later after seeing IIS, I compared the environment with Christ and found Christ is more of strict and orthodox culture, they even told me during entrance test that, we cannot change the HL(higher level) & SL(standard level) subjects. IIS are very flexible in this matter. I have no single complaint to make on the school. Whenever I have something to say, I write directly to chairman, principal, teachers etc. IBDP students have internet in classrooms . Every IBDP student have their own laptops.

After school hours, IBDP hostel students are allowed to use their mobile phones till 9pm after which the students handover to warden again. They respond immediately. I wish the school a bright future for all the hardworking they are putting to give the best to the children over all development. My son studies in a residential school by name PATHASHAALA PCFL-KFI which is 30Kms from Chennai from 6th to 10th, it is a KFI School( Krishnamurty foundation of India) a sister concern of Rsihi Valley school in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.

After living in chennai for 5yrs, my son finds Bangalore climate is like heaven. They recently started allowing boarding students to use cycles inside the campus. There is adequate security personnel at gates, without gate pass, no student is allowed to go out, once in a while, the warden accompany students to shopping malls during weekends. The school location is free from all sorts of noise but very near to software companies, local train, shops and hospitals.

I personally likes Mr.Chitradeep who is admin cum admission officer, who is very friendly, I admire Chairman sir, Principal madam Ms. Ratan Ghosh, IB co-ordinator Ms.Sujatha madam. Iam of a complaining nature person, I fight and complain on everyone, wherever Iam, Inspite of my nature, I found these staff good with me and my child. Thank you so much all of you for all the co-operation extended to me. We can even send eatables to the school through Big Basket from time to time. We can send Pizzas, cakes etc online to our kids. The school does allow these things inside school to the boarding students.

Best school in Sarjapur Road Bangalore

I have taken admission for my daughter in this school. She is currently in Grade5. We recently shifted from Mumbai. I would like to be honest while giving feedback of this school. The school focuses more on development of our child. They have many programs that help childrens understand the studies and make use in their day to day life. The best part is each and every student is been given attention because of the strength of the class. They dont have more than 15 students in the class which allows the teachers to attend each and every student in their periods. My daughter enjoys a lot to go to this school. I personally have experienced change in my daughter growth. I would say if any one wants to take admission for their ward, I think this is the best place they should be coming and experience tge campus. IIS has a huge campus with all the facilities. It has a swimming pool, basketball court, volleyball court, cricket ground, a big dining hall as well as hostel facility. They have various programs which teaches students a lesson of life. Also they have various after school activities which keeps our childs mood fresh. They have robotics which I have not seen in any of the schools. Last but not the least, above was my experience and understanding of this school and is the best I think. I would recommend any one for this school. Teachers are very cooperative.
