I am writing the review for IFB customer service and the service center.
I have been using the product for past 1.5 years without any issues.
I had IFB front loading washing machine earlier for 9 years. I discarded it as it was breaking down a lot and it was expensive to maintain it.
Due to the good experience with the machine which lasted 9 years and only gave trouble in last 1-2 years, I went for advanced version of IFB machine only.
However, the new machine seems to be not as durable as the previous one.
The silver lining on the door started coming off in the first 4-5 months itself.
Care should be taken to make such things out of non-corrosive material as washing machines are supposed to be in humid and wet environment.
The stand also is very low and prone to corrosion.
Despite this, the machine was working fine till now. Due to a mistake on our side, the door seal rubber got cut and water is leaking.
I raised complaint on their website and received ticket number.
The technician visited after 2 days and said the rubber will be replaced.
Since then the nightmare has started with almost daily follow ups but no success.
First I was told that all technicians are sick and nothing can be done before 3 days.
Then I was told that they had got wrong part and waiting for correct part to come.
Then again the part was being replaced as they sent for grey machine and mine was white.
It is now 14 days since the complaint was raised and machine not repaired.
I cant even find number or contact within IFB whom to escalate the issue to.
Please keep in mind while buying IFB appliances and be prepared to get it repaired outside rather than rely on company.
