I own a IFB Executive Plus washing machine, which is under valid AMC with the company.Recently I faced problem of knocking noise in spinning mode, so I registered a complaint with IFB customer care.
First visit, they came after 2 days, said the bearing needs to be replaced. He charged Rs. 300 approx for lathe charges, spent around 3 hours to complete. He ran the empty machine to test and said it is working fine without any noise. Further he sold 2 packets of anti-scaling powder for Rs. 320. The technician left while the machine was still in test run. Within 5 minutes we found water overflowing out of the bottom filter area. We called Anand immediately he said he cannot come he had another appointment, we were sure he wouldn't had gone out of our apartment by then, but he still declined and said will come next day.
Second visit next day after calling him 3 times he was ignoring, then we called IFB customer care again. They issued another complaint number. Next day the same technician comes, opened the cabinet, he had forgot to fix one pipe. He fixed the pipe and said it is fine there was no water overflowing from that place.
Next day we ran the machine with usual clothes load, and found the same knocking noise coming in spin mode. We called IFB and registered the complaint again. The same technician along with another person came after 2 days(Third visit). They found the bearing frame was not tightened properly so one bolt had broken. They took another Rs 150 for lathe charges, got the new bolt fixed, and came back to assemble the machine again.
Next day we ran the machine with clothes load, after 10 minutes we found that soap lather was overflowing from the soap tray. We stopped the machine immediately. And registered one more complaint with IFB.
It is 3 days since then IFB doesn't care how will customer manage their laundry with non-functional machine for last 2-3 weeks now!
Be careful of IFB products, they may look attractive or competitive initially . but remember you will have to go through the same pain very soon. Better buy reputed brands those care about customers.
