IFB - No service at all!!!

I had raised a complaint on Jan 30, 2015 for my washing machine. I was told that the service will be done in 48 hours. Its been 13 days and still its not resolved. I have already made at least 30 calls to the service center and to the escalation manager in Bangalore. Have already heard all lame excuses of not doing services. Horrible service!


Now, they wont even pick up my call. Not sure why does IFB sells washing machine when they don't have any kind of service available?

IFB Faulty machine

Very disappointed with the IFb machine and their services. We bought front loaded machine with 9kg washer and 7kg dryer 2 years back with 4 years warranty . Since then we are facing many issues with It. It has been raised to no of people but no solution offer whatsoever.


I have been told that particular model is now out of market due to wrong make. But as a customer I feel cheated. Can I have permanent solution for this?  I am asking for the replacement but no response whatsoever from IFB. Please treat my comment as priority.I will now think twice before buying any IFB product.

I have purchased IFB washing machine one week ago. So far installation has not been done. Neither flipkart or IFB did care about it. After I escalated to Flipkart, I  received a call from IFB after 2 days. I have escalated after that to IFB also. They said it would be done in 1 day.


After 2 days I called and they redirected me to three different persons. Everyone spoke recklessly saying it was not  their area. Finally one person said it would be done. Stilll waiting.


Never buy IFB. Worst service.

Pathetic Service. Bought a new dryer from the IFB website and requested for the demo and installation. Mr. Sanjay called the next day and came for the demo. He is the most disrespectful service representative I have ever seen in my life.


Didn't know anything and to all my queries his answer was "Aise hi hota hai"(It's just like that). No manners on how to talk and behave with a customer. When I asked him to leave he got aggressive and pushed the machine. I literally had to push him out of my house and he still had the audacity to abuse me verbally while going down the stairs. I called the customer care to report this matter and they gave me the contact number of some Mr. Chanchal and asked me to get in touch with him.


But to my surprise the number was switched off.I am extremely angry and dissatisfied with the behaviour of the staff and will make sure this spreads on the social media.

I would suggest that no one buys the washing machine. After 4 years of service, the machine broke down on the 26th dec. The PCB problem took one month to be replaced. I had to make 25 calls to hemant/manjunna and Sundar( IFB) person to resolve the call. After the PCB got replaced just after one wash, I am seeing an error message'Door. problem happened on 25th JAN. Again I started repeatedly calling. No one picks . No answer.


I would suggest that you buy IFB if you have enough patience or can afford a call centre of your own who can follow up repeatedly. I am so frustrated,  I am sure not recommend IFB to anyone else now,

I purchased IFB Washing Machine 2 yrs back. Now it is under warranty. I am facing an issues from last 4 months. I given the complaints to the concern but there was no resolution provided. The complaint Numbers are 13598532, 14130759 & 14796777(Cust ID: 3415849).


The Technical person visited the place for three times and says it is working fine when I asked him to wait until I verify the same No sir we have another call if problem exists please call me they will give their number and left. After testing if we call them directly then the response was sir the complaint got closed please call the call center to register new one again. This is happening from last 4 months.


Finally I have decided to escalate and sent an email to customerservice@ifbglobal.com which is the higher level of customer service. Unfortunately I didn't received any reply from them as well. I strongly feel and recommend to the people who want purchase washing Machine not to buy the product from IFB. The reason is that at the time of purchase they will say 4 years warranty and we are No:1 in service but it was earlier. Now IFB thinks that in the warranty period they don't get any money so they don't resolve the issue.


Finally I conclude that IFB service response from Low level employees to TOP level is pathetic. Don't go for it.

Due to break down of my old washing machine. Yesterday I purchased IFB washing machine. Yesterday the 18th January, 2015. I got message that your ticket number 1100026219 rep will be coming shortly for demo. 24 hours left till no one turned up for demo. If this is the customer service.


Then how they will react for the break down situation. My number 9962205580.

After sales service its rather cheating I would say they take annual maintenance and run away.


No support from customer service they just say they will send people but no one turns up.


Decided to buy a new washing machine but definitely not IFB.


Cheap Company no values for customers.

I am a IFB customer at home for many years, I am using a front load washing machine Elina 5.5 since 2008, and found no problem till date. REALLY A QUALITY PRODUCT. But all your good name is in vain when it comes to serviceman behavior. My earlier complaint number - 12056664, dated 27-12-14, I complained of machine not running, found rats running out of machine.


Service man came from cuddalore service center and simply said the motor coil burned out, inspite I said I did not run the machine since the power switch itself was not working and how can coil burn out and it was running perfectly the previous day.


He did not accept and gave me tw option to take amc, and he will rectify the problem after 15 days of taking the amc or to pay Rs6500/- for the new motor. I said I will call him in two days. Being an engineer I just tilted and had a look at the motor. Found one wire bitten by rat and another wire cut by a knife(surely not a rat bite). I fixed the two wires in 5 minutes and found the machine running perfectly.


I AM REALLY SHOCKED BY THE WAY THE SERVICE EXECUTIVES TRY TO CHEAT US( SERVICE MAN


HOPE THEY WILL TAKE STRICT ACTION AGAINST HIM.

I bought IFB Dryer from Dawar - Open World and have such shocking experience as follows:: - I paid extra for URGENT delivery and paid higher than lower market price with their promise of installation by 11 am on next day. Nobody visited us, hence called IFB service person named Neeraj, who was caught unaware and had not even planned any visit to my place for installation.


Worst, i was told that engineer will visit your place on way back to his home at late evening and no plan to visit you during the day. I spoke to her senior Nima who promised to get back to me in 15 minutes and never bothered to call back. Finally i called her after 35 minutes and she continued to "busy" her phone for next 30 minutes as she didnt have any update. I wonder if this is experience on day one of purchase what will be my plight later during the warranty period of 4 years?


I will never ever buy IFB product and not recommend the same to any person. I also recommend that no one buys products from Dawar as the gap in promise and delivery is HUGE. They promise anything under sun and charge extra for same but never keep it.

I own Senorita Aqua SX which is under warranty(bought from Reliance Digital in July 2014). IF you are using the IFB products in Greater Noida, then I will recommend NOT you buy them.


I am using IFB products for past 13 years. I have un7379521 in different cmajeechaes.


But the kind of services I get in Greater Noida is worst. These people close your complaint tickets witmorpheushumanut even vismajeechang your morpheushumanuse. To prove- I am quoting my complaint numbers: 14515420,  14550503 and 14569448


For the first one 14515420 the technician visited my morpheushumanuse, and after repair work he even sold me a descaling powder. But next day the problem was repeated.


So I logged another complaint 14550503. To my surprise, it was marked resolved after 2 days, then again I logged a new complaint 14569448.


I even escalated the matter to your email id customerservices@ifbglobal.com. Interestingly again the complaint was marked resolved witmorpheushumanut the technician vismajeechang my morpheushumanuse. WHAT SORT OF PRACTICES ARE YOU FOLLOWING? May I ask you - Isn't this amount to CHEATING?


For your information I have used 2 washing machines and 2 microwave ovens from IFB. It is my unfortunate luck that I have to deal with your so called technicians in allotted to Greater Noida.


I will request Reliance digital and other IFB appliances sellers around this area not to sell IFB products and spoil their customer relations.

Got cheated by their service engineer

Mine is an old machine, it was bought when IFB was no 1 in India for front load washing machines. Perhaps because there were no other manufacturer at that time.


I also found lot of IFB users happy with its build quality and my neighbour was using it for more than 10 yrs with no service call! This was in 2005 and things have change a lot now.


I never had any issue with this product and it worked absolutely fine until when I had to call their service guy last year.


Actually it was the electric point issue but I end up paying 350 to the service guy. He also open the machine and cleaned it from inside. It gave me the assurance that the money well spent. :)


Immediately after 3 months I had a water leakage problem. The service engineer came and he replaced the rubber inlet pipe. Charged 800 (labour+ part).


After 6 months again I had the same water leakage problem. This time other rubber pipe leaked, it was the water outlet pipe.


This time new engineer came, they keep rotating service folks:( God knows why. This guy convinced me to go for a AMC as its a old machine and I don't need to go for new one as old machine has Bosch motor and it will last another 10 years.


I went for the AMC but soon had a water leakage problem and also my spin cycle stopped working. Bad news - the Bosch motor short circuited due to leakage. That's fine, I have the AMC so its covered.


That's what I thought but no, its more than 2 months and after several calls to their customer centre and the local service center my machine is still not working.


I got a call last week from their GAO office and was told that the parts of my old machine is not made anymore so they can't fix it.


Then why the hell they issued AMC for my old machine. I asked them to refund the AMC amount but they are not responding.


I never had any issue in last 8 years, once the machine got into the hands of their service engineers things got changed. I really feel they intentionally did something every visit so that I end up calling them.


I am going for a new machine now but will never go for IFB exchange offer. Keep away from this brand.


They will loose all their old customers due to their shoddy after sale service.

I bought my washing machine on 22nd Dec delivered the same day paid in cash to Vijay sales its one week I am still waiting for a demo we were told by Vijay sales that the demo shall be arranged in the next 2 days which didn't happen.


Now all working people around know how it is to manage without a washing machine and to top it the service center guy was extremely rude.


Tried speaking to the customer care but even they tend to tell us that the demo needs to be given between 9.30 to 6 and not after that and not on Sunday.


I mean what do you guys expect to do if the husband and wife are working they shouldn't be buying your machine or should we take a leave just so that you all can give us a demo at your convenience.


Even if that's the case why not inform Vijay sales about these so called rules or yours and really which service center in closed on Sunday.


I mean seriously you guys here to do business or just make a mockery of common people like us who spend their hard earned money on our products.


Really disappointed.

I can give you the complaint number pending for a very long period of time.  Everyone responds with a "Sorry for the inconvenience" but never lifts a finger to repair it.


My complaint number is 14312905. Anybody can call and say the complaint number and you can find out that it is still pending.

Worst service-IFB Washing Machine after Warranty

1.First a big firm like IFB should have a toll free number for all subscribers but they don't have  a toll free number for all subscribers.


2.To rise a complaint itself people have to spend amount in STD calls.


3.The treatment after warranty and before warranty will be totally different.


4.I  spent Rs 2500 for a complaint after warranty where the problem was there before warranty also.


The people who come for service wont get money before warranty right, so they said it is a very minor issue.  No need to repair it itself and it will get resolved by itself and this was before warranty.


The problem continued till 3 months after the person said it will get resolved by itself but it didn't and again i had to raise a complaint on the same issue and this complaint was after warranty.


The people who come for servicing change frequently and a new person came and charged me Rs 2500 incl. service charge (since it was after warranty) and changed two parts.


But the problem continued after replacing those parts also. So I had to call again and make a complaint.


The person who charged me Rs. 2500 came and said this fault is in some other part and wanted Rs.600 more to solve the problem.


I wanted to know that didn't he know that this problem is in some other part in the earlier visit itself?


Why he charged me Rs.2500 in his earlier visit and asking me extra Rs.600 now? If the problem is not occurring with the replaced parts then why he changed it?


Now the thing is i had told the problem to the customer care itself they said they said they will soon resolve this problem but till now no one has called me back regarding this from the technician side. I don't know when it will be resolved or will it get resolved or not..


5.I wanted to share my experience of Very poor service of IFB


And after viewing my experience please pray to god that my problem should be cleared as soon as possible without any further expense. :)

I am using a Top Loading washing machine from IFB, and it stopped working last month.


From then I have made more than 100 calls from server people to manager to their Goa office and off course the customer care, but they are not repairing it.


Since I took an AMC from them, and they are not expecting any money from me, they are not bothered.


Everyone will say that it will be repaired by tomorrow, but nothing happens.


If you want to save your self of all this pain never ever buy any IFB product.

They have worst customer service. I have been cheated many a times with the service personal.


They are expensive and inefficient. I suggest not to buy IFB appliances. Prevention is better than cure.

I own an IFB washing machine and paid huge money(close to 40K) and it is not working now. Raised multiple complaints with the IFB Customer care.


No response from them or the service provider. There is a 3 yrs warranty with this product which is OF NO USE.


Lessons Learnt: PLEASE READ REVIEWS ABOUT AFTER PURCHASE CARE and SERVICE prior to putting into such businesses that have no ethics to keep up their promise and commitment.


PLEASE BE COGNIZANT OF THE FACT with IFB's LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR ANY PRODUCTS YOU PURCHASE WITH THEM.


Whenever you pay for the product that has warranty coverage, you are paying for their service up front. They have the liability to resolve the issue within the stipulated SLA.


IN IFB, please be prepared to a huge frustration and disappointment if you land in a situation to use your WARRANTY.


After multiple escalations and calling the service person directly multiple times, I had one visit from the local Service person and he claimed that the drum has to be replaced.


I had asked him to replace it, but no response from him. After multiple calls, he still claims that the part is not in. I call up customer care and they say the complaint has been escalated and will be addressed the same day.


In fact. I get false promises and commitments from the customer care reps on the date this issue will be fixed. It is pathetic to know that I am not able to talk to someone who has the authority to call the shots.


Since the day I registered the complaint, I have been throttled between customer care and the local service dealer to understand the status. Very frustrated with this experience with IFB.


I have called up the following service persons multiple times and no response.


9381086792 - Ravi Ganesh (IFB Manager).


9884416971 - Rajasekhar (IFB service manager).


9962503741 - Suresh (IFB Service).


There is no reason for the customer to be acting as a middle man between the customer service rep and the local service reps.

IFB has the worst service standards. Despite repeated calls to the Head office for service request they have not handled the service issues.


Every time they delegate the job to authorized dealers one who are incompetent.


Also fleece customers by asking to replace the spare parts even when there is no problem with the parts.


This is one way of increasing the sales of their spare parts and IFB stands as No 1 in the list of Washing Machines for making customers spend double the amount on purchasing the item from them.
