I express my profound dissatisfaction with the service provided by IFB AC Company. On July 4, 2023, I purchased an IFB 1 Ton AC unit, and by June 6, 2024, it had already malfunctioned, displaying an F6 error and becoming inoperable. This premature failure, occurring in less than a year, clearly indicates substandard quality and reliability.
I promptly contacted IFB on June 6, 2024, to request repair services for my malfunctioning AC unit, referencing Token No. 1014163663. A technician visited my residence the same day and identified a faulty PCB as the problem. I was assured that the replacement would be completed by Saturday, June 8, 2024, as the necessary part was to be sourced from IFB’s store in Ghaziabad(UP).
Regrettably, despite promises of expedited service, there has been a significant delay of five days in the repair process. The PCB has yet to be received by the service center in Mathura, which is only 157 kilometers from Ghaziabad—a travel time of just over two hours. This unacceptable delay has caused considerable inconvenience and discomfort for my family, especially during extreme weather conditions in Mathura. This situation has further worsened due to the illness of my six-month-old infant.
Moreover, the lack of communication and false updates regarding the status of the repair have compounded my frustration. As a paying customer, I expected timely and efficient service from a reputed company like IFB. On June 11, 2024, as a gesture of sympathy, I was informed by associates and the area service center that my AC would be repaired by June 13, 2024. However, this promise also lacks assurance and credibility. It feels as though the service team is working against the customer, making us feel deceived.
This experience has been highly disappointing, and I urge IFB to improve its service and communication standards to better serve its customers.
