Dirty express

Its a worst train. I traveled once and that is the last journey in that train. Even no tc will be available. The train will be with full of passengers and there were no facilities provided by the department. For women's there is lots of inconvience.


The washrooms are very ugly full of smell coming out from washrooms. Even the workers available they will not clean properly. Any how the train is important for people so railway department should solve this problems as early as possible.

The train was very worst I traveled one time I reliased that was last, the compartment was dirty, the tc was un avialable till the 2 hours, the toilets was very dirty, only the clean the bogi in ac compartment only, I travel in the sleeper class, there was no security measurements, the food also very tasteless, especially the curd had full of water, in that we can eat super food in the resturant, the railway department please think to clean our train to lokk like beautifull

“We want to visit ‘Nagarjuna Sagar’. Is there any tour conducted by APTDC?” we asked. “Yes Sir, of course you can, but only on Saturdays and Sundays”, said the APTDC employee. This APTDC office is just beside the “YATRI NIVAS” hotel of Secundrabad.



You have to book your ticket at that counter only. The ticket price is Rs. 450/-.



One fine Saturday morning, we are ready for the tour. The bus started at 7.30 AM. It takes around 4 hours to reach Nagarjuna Sagar. You can have your breakfast at Santhosh Nagar, where bus will stop for 25 minutes.



“Please listen to my announcement. You have to give extra Rs.100/- for the museum & Boat ticket”, said the Guide. The place is really cool. The boat will take you to an island, where there is the Museum, which is 2nd oldest of Asia.



You will love that island, with greeneries and scenic beauty. In the ancient period, Buddhists used to come here for studies. Inside the museum, you will find the “Buddha” statue, the models of Stupas. There are some villages, at the backside of that island.



The Guide warned us not to go beyond that area, as it is a “Naxalite” or “Maoist” infested area. Many a times, Maoists have created violence here. Those small islands surrounding the “Nagarjuna Sagar” are the safest place for the Maoists.



The “Nagarjuna Sagar Dam” is very big, and it also supplies water for irrigation purposes through the canal. Besides, Nagarjuna Sagar, there are dense forests.



Now, we went to the nearby waterfall. There are gardens, where monkeys are in a naughty mood. The Guide warned not to take any foods inside that garden, otherwise they will attack. The waterfall is just superb.



For a one day tour, during the weekends, “Nagarjuna Sagar” is one of the best options.



So, just go for it, if you are yet to visit that place. Bon Voyage!

Mumbai -hyderabad express poor speed

The train 7031 dn takes 17 hrs to travel 790 kms distance between mumbai and hyderabad. too poor speed. this is because the bhigwan -Mohol section( 160 kms) of pune-solapur track is single line plying 36 trains. the train frequently halts for crossings and robberies take place due to this during night time especiaaly on black moon days(Amavasya) on pune-splapur track between Bhigwan -mohol.


Secondly the train surprisingly takes 6 hrs to travel from pune to solapur as it is overtaken by hutatma express. the train shold start from cst at 14-00 hrs in place of 6011 dn and 60011 shouls strat at 12-45 to avoid this nuisance of overtaking in a short journey of 790 kms. moreover since this train has to start at 12-45 and rake is shared with hussainsagar expres the hussainsagar express is sceduled to arrive at 4-55 in early morning. so the cities mumbai and hyderabad are poorly connected.


It at all you want to reach hyderabad in morning take konark express which starts fro CSt at 15-05 but it drops u at secundarabad at 7-40 a.m . u can alight at Begumpeth and take MMTS  local train to go to hyderabad.


A journey from Hyderabad

Well. it was a horrifying journey back to Kolkata from Hyderabad. The date 11th Jan'07. The Train - Falaknama Express The TTE - "Good that I do not know his name - I therefore have the liberty to call him by different names.and I am sorry if they sound "Too Hard". well I can still catch him I want to by name. He started from Vijaywada and was incharge of  AC 3 and AC2 tier. but surely I have no interest to look for that "Sick Brute"


It all started with a "Wait List ticket. and I was the unlucky one having the same with me. but I was sure like the innumerable last times. I would atleast be able to manage something and reach my destination. but How wrong was I?


The train left Secunderabad at 16:00 hours and thank God I was not the lone one to be carrying a wait list ticket. there were atleast 8 of them. and that way I was a bit lucky as my wait list was 3. so I had just 2 people before me. and they too were on the train. Yes. to add to my woes. I was carrying huge luggage.and had it not been for the help and cooperation of some co-passengers. I would have struggled to be on the train.


We(all Wait Listed passengers) waited to check some availabilty of seats. but to our dismay the train was going full and our situation would be reviewed in Vijaywada. scheduled to reach at 21:00 hours.(as per the TTE who baorded with us in Secunderabad) . but chances he said were remote. We tried all nukes and corners and decided even if we do not get a seat. we can just sit outside the compartment. use a seat that was prepared for the TTE and Attendants and make up our night journey. and by then we reached Vijaywada. and we were encountered with "The Brute". he was short on mannerism and well. "Humanity" was never taught to him. he forced us out of teh AC compartment and told us that we should baord teh sleeper class .and continue our journey.


That was not a problem provided there was availability there. but we had checke out that too earlier. and it was more crowded than the zoo on holidays. so we requested him to allow us to sit outside the compartment as it would not be possible to run with luggage. But the "BT" used his dirty ways and gor us out of there. and our plight started. some of the passengers gave in iasily after seeng his rude behaviour. but I was extremely hurt and didn't want to let him loose. and then due to repeated request of teh attendant I too decided to tread down the Sleepere class. but by then the train had started moving. and me and another person were left stranded in a small platform of Elluru. I could not afford to miss the train and thus somehow got clung to the only sleeper class door that was opened. but unfortunately my co-passenger did not risk that. But it just aggravated my anger therefafter. somehow I managed to catch hold off the TTE in the sleeper class. passed on cash to have his seat and decided to sit my way till morning and Vishakhapatnam.(around 4:00 AM in the morning of 12th.)


Wel. somehow the 28 hour journey ended after 30 hours. and what it left was marks of inhumanity and rudeness in me. the last that I expected after seeing teh beauty of Hyderabad.


Just to conclude . Never board a Train and specially the AC comparttment if you are on Wait List. on this route. today it was me. it could be you some other day. so just a friendly advice to take forward. and by the way. it was not a luxury journey. I was a business passenger. but that was nothing to do with teh TTE - "Mr BASD" of Falknama Express between Vijaywada and Vizag.

The 7031 Dn Mumbai Hyderabad exp is a train that connects the capital of AP with the nation's financial capital


This was one of the first trains to be introduced in this route the other one being


Minar exp(now being run as Konark express)


Though the departure time is 12:45 pm this is perhaps the only train which is brought to the platform as late as 12:20 pm which sees a heavy rush of passengers trying to scramble for their seats


add this to the fact the doors to the coaches are not immediately opned by the staff


which further compounds the woes of the travelling public


Though labelled as an express train it virtually stops at every small station


to cater to the needs of variou sections of society


Consequently it takes a total of 17 hrs to complete the journey whereas the other trains take around 14-15 hours


There is always this nuisance of  short distance passengers who travel in regular reserved Sleeper class coaches during the day jouney


Add to this the urchins, eunuchs and others who are more privileged lot than the genuine passengers


There is lack of proper cleanliness in train and loos are no exception


There is no  pantry car attached to this train and the needs of the people are catered to by the local food vendors


A return journey by this same train is no different from it's onward jouney experience


The only saving grace is that it reaches it's destination by 5:45 am the next day and is hardly ever late


Hussainsagar express and Konark are better options available to the harried passengers
