HP notebook redemption cell is cheating

Please beware of the fraudulent ways HP notebooks are alluring the hapless consumer with consumer schemes of Kodak Camera with it.


1) They will not give you gift on purchase instead ask you to fill up the form online and send a DD or cheque of Rs 990 for courier charges.


2) Then an email arrives confirming the redemption no. and a wait of 6 weeks.


3) once you start getting jittery after 6 weeks, you try to call the redemption cell phone no. What you hear instead is a recorded voice urging you to leave a message after a beep, and then voice mail box full is announced. the phone goes dead after that.


4) you try and write emails to them, it goes unanswered.


5) when you go to their company site to register a complain, they ask all the details and a tedious complain form is to be filled, the surprise comes now when you try and submit the carefully filled form the program shows error.


My request if someone is buying a HP notebook with the redemption gift in mind, please don't. You will never get it.


My next recourse is to go to the consumer courts. and make them pay my money back at least.

Neligence of HP towards rectifying the Compliant

I purchased a desktpo PC(HP Pavilion a6020IN with 17" TFT monitor.) from Focuz computers, Kottayam. On the same day, it started showing problems - shutting down and automatically restarting after sometime while in use. The compliant was partially rectified(OS recovery still going on) by the HP service engineer from Reddington and resolved fully after 2 or 3 weeks by another service engineer by updating the system BIOS.


After a few weeks, it again started showing problems - display going off, computer automatically restarting and sometimes hanging. After several attempts, I could talk with the customer supprot person and the problem got solved on the same day. Unfortunately, my PC worked properly only for a few days. As I was unable to reach the toll free number, I made a compliant through email. I received a call the next day and the problem was solved.


Minutes after this, my PC again showed the same problem and is not working now. I am totally disappointed and fed up. I never expected such compliants form a branded company's product.
