Hotel Shevaroys, Salem, Yercaud

Beware! These guys are thieves. They pestered me into buying their Shevaroys holiday vacation plan for 5 years by paying Rs.95000/- but not once have they got my vacation plan realized inspire of giving 2 and half months prior information. The person in charge doesnot respond to mail since that will mean providing evidence. They are a group of unprofessional bunch who are into cheating. I am planning to take legal action against them. I have the evidence of membership including the receipts. Beware! Beware! Beware! The owner is a politician from Salem.

I want to share my personal experience about Hotel Shevaroys in Yercaud(Salem). This hotel is very popular and many people coming here for stay. Its location is very nice for tourism and its room quality is very nice.

This hotel service is not good compare to other hotels because this hotel staff members is very less and take and give order time is very poor.

Its food quality is very nice and clean, but price is to much. This hotel have limited food items and some time non veg. is not available.

This hotel ambiance is very nice and comfortable for everyone but its TV and air conditioner is not proper work and its bathroom is not clean every time.

This hotel price is not more but food charge is high. This hotel location is very nice for tourist and transport link is very nice to other city.

The hotel claims of stay with parking facilities however due to the negligence of the parking securities my car was badly banged by some other vehicle. This was not even brought to our notice, when we found the incidence and reported the same to the hotel management they are asking for proofs to show that the vehicle was damaged in their premises!

We requested the management to compensate us for the damage or repair the vehicle for us, infact had a discussion with the GM Mr. K. Kathiravan. He had even inspected the damage himself. He asked us to get the vehicle repaired and send him the bill and he will try to help us. Since the damage was beyond repair, we had to replace the whole panel. As per our discussion with Mr. Kathiravan.

We had send him the scanned copy of the bill. To our surprise he did not even acknowledge the email. Every week we had to call him and send reminder mails but there was no positive response. The only revert we got from him is that he needs to discuss the issue with his MD to take a call. After several follow ups finally we got an email from him stating that he cannot help us in anyways. The only thing that they can do is offer us a special discount package next time that we are visiting! This is ridiculous since I was not doing a trade off with the hotel. I was just asking them to compensate me for the damage as per the actual bill.

So moral of the story if you are planning to stay at Shevaroys please get a surveillance camera installed or get a personalized security with you to ensure that your vehicle is safe!

Hi, I visited this hotel with my business clients on last week of july 2011.i taken my guys with lot of expectations because I own a estate in yercaud but I arranged their stay in shevaroys because my guest house completely away from d town.earlier lot of times I have been to shevaroys restaurant'swith my family and friends so I opted this hotel for my people's.

Ambience and place are really good but this staffs are spoiling the hotel names completely.especially I intracted with one front office guy called(Shankar) along with one front office girl the way they speaking and handling the guests are really really pethatic. Not only my guys felt bad along with us some other visitors of that hotel also felt really bad and even we was disscussed with other visitors too.

Please avoid this hotel.

Hi I have stayed at this hotel in the month of aug 2011 along with my business clients who are all came from different locations.As I am from salem I too own my private house in yercaud but  my house was completely away from d town so I choosen this old and familier hotel to stay with my people's.location, rooms was decent to stay apart from the front office staff behaviour.All my clients and some other vistors of that day felt really bad after seen that person attitude and behaviour.Then when we called front office number for room service also he did not respond properly.Then we came to knw the person name(Shanker) to compliant but unfortunately we didn't do that.

I request everyone to avoid this hotel or requesting management to train d staffs r change these kind of poor staffs.

We had booked the Dhalia suite for two days in May, 2009.  Its one of the oldest hotels of Yercaud. Very serene environment. Resort has rooms and cottages. The hotel is only walkable distnace from the lake. It looks like the hotel had a recent renovation done.

The rooms smelled of fresh paint and bathroom accessories were spanky new. Restaurant serves both vega nd non-veg. We went for Thali meals for lunch on both days. it was worth the money (Rs.75/-). Shevaroy's special breakast of  idli, vada, masala dosa, puri and masala, pongal , tea and a glass of lassi was enough for two of us. There is a massage centre and gaming area for kids.

Also there is a separate vegetaraian restaurant inside the complex. Since the hotel is in the heart of the town, its always crowded. Tourists who come for one-day sight seeing throng this place since it is easily accessible. The waiters in the restaurant find it difficult to handle crowd. So it is better to opt for room service.

There is a plantation walk behind the resort where it is well kept and ideal for morning walk. The room is quite spacious, so is the bathroom and the balcony.  The lake and boat house is only 5 minutes walk. So if you don't have your own vehicle, then it is very ideal one since you can easily take a stroll around the lake or the garden.
