Hotel Shelter, Chennai

The hotel is located in a busy area (mylapore). I had been there on a business visit recently. findine the hotel is no problems as it is located opposite to saibaba temple. the hotel is undergoing renovation presently. I booked my online.

The room though small had good ambiance. The AC was effective, however it was stopped early morning fro unknown reasons. The bathroom fittings were new but not properly thought of. The tissue roll was placed under the shower(dumb), probably to have a wet roll effect!!!!!! The attached restaurant was ok with lot of north eastern workers to give a Chinese restaurant feel.

The service was definitely slow. The main problem was that the booking mentioned complimentary breakfast but they refused the claim saying it was not for online bookings as the bookings were 300-400 rs leseer than normal booking. The room rent of 3000(overpriced) did not include even free wifi. Wifi charges are 220 rs for 10 hours, ridiculous. they claim it to be 3 star bot should be 1 1/2 star.the only plus point was the hotel staff, welcoming and helpful.
