Hotel Saravana Bhavan, Park Town, Chennai

Although Hotel Saravana is very famous in Chennai and has branches all over I think it is honestly over hyped.

They serve North Indian and South Indian food  but it is nothing special. There are many restaurants in town that serve authentic South Indian cuisine and serve poultry and sea food as well.

I wouldn't call the staff and management friendly they are courteous and mean business. They seldom smile which becomes slightly awkward.

A wholesome meal here is very cheap and affordable, I would give Saravan that but apart from the price there is nothing appealing about the restaurant.

Hotel Saravana needs no introduction. It is one of the best restaurants in town that serve excellent Indian food at an affordable price.

The serve the simple and comman North Indian dishes but they have reatined the original flavors. The menu consists of Hot Idly, Ghee Pongal, Sambhar vadai, Mendu Vadai, Ghee dry fruit rava masala, Panner Dosai and many more.

The staff knows the menu at the back of thier hand and will give honest recommendations. It is one of the best restaurants in town for a cheap and quick meal.
