When it comes to hotels and restaurants, undoubtedly there is a very few which please you as much because if they dwell in superior quality of food, they are expensive whereas cheaper hotels lack a food quality that soothes the taste buds. But finally coming across this hotel, I feel it is by far the only hotel I have been to which combines superior quality with cheap price.
One of my friends living in the region had his birthday and invited us for his birthday treat earlier this month. Our booking was done in Hotel Delite for a seat of 6 people.
Once we reached the hotel, my first impression of the hotel was of some midiature status. the hotel has a seating capacity of around 50 people at a time and is not much large in comparison to others. However, one thing that pleased me was the maintainance of the hotel. The entire fooding area had been cleanly kept with not a single piece of untidy things to be noticed. Since it was our friends birthday, our table had been decorated with beautiful flowers and balloons which was really a sweet gesture.
Once in, a waiter had our order placed and I was really surprised at the menu and its adjacent prices. Its not like there were too many dishes on the menu. Frankly speaking, I have been to hotels like Sonotel where the menu card itself is equivalent to a book. The Hotel Delite menu card, a mere page of four, combined some much needed 150 dishes that ranged from various categories.
The Categories were divided as follows:
1.) Non-Veg - Included an exotic collection chicken, fish, prawns, and mutton dishes.
2.) Veg - Included vegetarian's delight recipes like Shahi Paneer, Paneer Kofta, etc.
3.) Soups - Wide range of soups ranging from plain simple soups to exquisite flavoured one's.
4.) Snacks and Items - Starters dish which included snack items like Chicken Pakoda, Fries, Non-Veg balls, etc.
5.) Rice and Roti's - Included all kinds of fried rice, biryani's, and roti-paratha's.
But what shocked me the most was the menu prices. Never before had I noticed such low prices of items. All the dish had been fairly priced at around Rs.150-Rs.200 and the chicken items specially where far cheaper in comparison to other hotels.
Me and my friends ordered a Paneer Butter Masala(Rs.100), Chicken Tangri(Rs.150), Chicken Pakoda(Rs.100), Tandoori Roti(Rs.10) and Shahi Paneer(Rs.150). Overall, six people had a stomach-stuffed meal at only Rs 1000 which is far less.
Talking about the dishes served, let me first tell you about the Chicken Tangri. I had had it for the first time and it was yum. I mean, seriously, I would like walk for 10 miles just to have this dish once. The dish had two long chicken legs immersed in reddish gravy which tasted as perfect as it looked. Shahi Paneer was good and so was the Pakodas. Another thing that completely killed it was the Paneer Butter Masala. This is my favourite Paneer dish and no matter which hotel I am, I always order this dish. But Hotel Delite serves the best Paneer Butter Masala to my knowledge and at a merely Rs.100(like seriously), I can't help but heap praises on the hotel and its manager.
Anyone, who visits this region must stop by this hotel once or you are sure to regret it. This is an extremely good hotel by all standards and is must recommended.
