Hello Everyone, Beware of Home Town. They have very bad support services.
This is regarding a very bad experience with Home Town Furniture store. I had purchased a study table less than a year ago from Home Town - Bangalore. A few days ago, suddenly, the drawer of the study table came crashing down. When I looked at it, I found that the wood at the place where screws were fixed had given up. Not sure why it got broke, probably because of sub-standard quality. I logged a service request #1311057 on 28th July, 2020 with them.
On 31st July, an engineer visited my place and tried to repair the drawer but the solution given wasn't working to my satisfaction. Therefore, he told me that he would update the concerned team/department for the replacement of the part.
Upon hearing nothing from hometown, I contacted the customer care on the toll free number on 04th August and found that the engineer had not updated the SR and didn't inform the concerned team. I was told by the customer care that I would get a call within 24 hours. I didn't get that call either!
I called the customer care number today i.e. 07th August and spoke about this. I was informed that the SR had been escalated and that I would get a call from your side before noon. I haven't received any calls until now.
The study table I have purchased is still under warranty and the warranty period is getting over on 12th August. Looks like they don't want to replace anything for free and that's why my issue is still pending since long.
So, in my opinion, you shouldn't buy any furniture from Home Town. You won't get a good post-sale support for sure. Instead, stick to your local carpenter who you know and get things done from him.
